Last time I was there I was held up on the train, so as far as I know they still do that. Those are the little things that are leaving Knott's which really made the park special. Back when they added it I was actually all for Ghostrider, I thought it was a great addition to the park and it fit in well with the theme. It was Silver Bullet where I really started seeing the problems that park was in for. Hopefully we'll see some of the remaining things that Knott's has remain in order to keep some of it's original charm.

It's debatable how true that is. To some degree the holiday first entered into it's current form during the Civil War, after a request by President Lincoln. However prior to the Civil War it's known that Thanksgiving was a sporadic holiday that often would occur at different times of the year (if at all, sometimes it would happen more then once) as was deemed necessary by the President. I could also bust out an argument why Thanksgiving is unconstitutional, but I like Turkey way to much to go there. To bring this topic back a little bit, my WiiFit has officially been retired until the start of the new year. With finals coming up (woot for 15 hours a day of studying!) and my wedding in late December, there is no time for me to use the thing. Starting in January however I plan to become to hit the thing again and try to drop a few pounds (plus some extra from everything coming up). -
The InBev/Busch Discussion Thread

^I'd be surprised to see any kind of interruptions at the parks. I'm expecting that the average person will have absolutely no idea that anything has happened. -
With Six Flags in the financial situation they are in, I would be utterly shocked if they even allowed the thought of buying HRP run through their minds. I could see it being a little more likely that Cedar Fair would buy the park, move all the rides to different parks and then sell the land. No matter how I run this situation through my head, HRP has operated for the final time.

^I think the hula-hoop one is about the most tiring one in the game! -
I still imagine that this is going to turn into a long legal matter, but as far as I understand it (as was just stated) these things only can move in a single direction. With that said I could see a sudden stop causing a handful of people to lose balance and possibly fall. Not sure if this really rises to the level of negligence (which is what I'm sure USH will be sued for) however. Though in terms of it changing directions, while all the safeties should prevent that, the other night while driving I saw contradicting green lights, which I also thought was impossible, so who knows.

Since this thread is been brought up I do have a suggestion. If I see a spam post I always take the time to report it, however I don't like the fact that I have to first click on the post, and second, after reporting it I have to return to the same post again! I understand why you have to click on the post that first time in order to access the "report spam" button, but is it possible that instead of being redirected back to the post you just reported, you could instead be redirected back to specific board that you originally were in?

I went out, partially inspired by this thread, and got myself a Wii Fit today. I'd consider throwing up some inspirational pictures of myself doing it, however first I want to wait until I'm a little better at using the board... And by a little better I mean a lot better. -

STarbucks profit down 97% in last quarter.

I think the problem with Starbucks is they overreached a little bit, there are too many of them. I'm curious to see if they start closing up a few of their shops now. For example, up near where Robb lives I know there is something like 6 different Starbucks within about 5 minutes of each other. That, in my opinion, is overkill. With that said, when I do want to buy over priced coffee a white chocolate mocha is basically the best drink out there! -

Best luck Robb. I'm actually wanting to do basically the same thing right now, but I'm having a hard time find a Wii Fit. -

People are losing there homes, $5 coffee isn't on the top of their list for things to keep buying. I'm not surprised at all by this. -

As I write this I'm studying for my Criminal Procedure exam, and I can tell you that this isn't that rare. People like the hide things all over (and inside) their bodies. If you're not familiar with the term "ballooning", I suggest you look it up for the ultimate in hiding things inside of your body. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

Thanks Robb, I actually though the sign was on the hills directly behind the park. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
AllenA07 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Looking at where the Goliath sign is, what really is surprising me with it's location is the fact that I didn't know SFMM owned that land. I could be wrong but it looks like it outside of the park. So I'm wondering am I wrong, or is this is equivalent of Magic Mountain tossing dog poop over into the neighbors lawn? In other news I agree that it doesn't look like much else has happened, and as Robb said, rain can really mess things up. Once they pour however I've always found that to be the most boring time of coaster construction, generally the entire will just sit there for several weeks doing nothing while the cement cures. -

I think there have been some voter problems, I'm really hoping it doesn't take the US Supreme Court to decide the winner of TPR survivor! I feel "TPRgate" coming on. -
I'm not sure if this always applies every year, however when I was in Vegas at New Years last many of the rides were closed. I know Desperado was closed, and Manhattan Express was closed at least 2 of the 4 days I was there. I didn't actually make it all the way down to see if Speed was running, nor did I make it inside Circus Circus, but I'd assume that Canyon Blaster was open. The rides in Vegas really are subpar, it's been years since I've actually spent the money to ride one.
