Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

I love the trains and everything, but I can't help imagine that it's going to look sort of awkward going through the course. They're so much bulkier and less aerodynamic than any of intamin's other trains. I could be wrong, considering B&M hypers look good, but we'll see. -

Parks have a choice with pros and cons when they're choosing between Intamin and B&M. Do they want a huge, insane, pushing-the-limits twisty thrill machine, that will most likely have many initial issues, and not be incredibly reliable? Or do they want a huge, sprawled out simple B&M, that will be very reliable, but not as 'thrilling'? (IMO, I still think B&Ms are thrilling, but not as much as Intamin) It's a win win situation for either, they just deliver different things. I don't think B&M is necessarily trying to surpass Intamin in any way, they just have different styles. -

^I absolutely love it! -
I wouldn't be surprised if they did worlds longest. If they had a Giga or Blitz, it could totally follow the path of the monorail (including the tunnel) and then some in the log jammer area. That would be absolutely incredible, and be awesome for onlookers to see this giant speeding at 90-100 mph over pathways.

The way you just said that made it seem like it wasn't actually 300 feet. B&M can call it whatever they want, that doesn't change that it's 300 feet tall. -

My jaw just dropped. Oh my goodness. This looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! It's incredible how much track there is without supports. Intamin really is the god of engineering. -

I actually could really see CP getting a dive machine. I don't see what the problem is with having more vertical drops, the more the merrier! Plus it would be a completely different experience than TTD or Maverick, especially if it were a giga. -
What is your favorite launch coaster?
sammmmmy replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going to hop on the same train as everyone else and say the hulk. I've been on multiple other much more intense, faster, and taller launch coasters but something about the hulk is just such a blast. B&M and Premier did a absolutely fantastic job with that one. My other favorites would be TTD, Maverick, and Revenge of The Mummy (When the lights and smoke are working.) -

I didn't love the colors at first but now this really is looking like a great combo. I hope the vegetation around khan/shambhala grows back quickly! -

I'm a bit confused as to where the station and queue will be. It looks like the little overbank after the first brake run goes over comet's station, but as I look on bing maps, it doesn't look like there's much room there... Like did they take something out? -

It looks like maybe the fire truck will spray out water somehow! It's located right where the water feature is, and I see pipes heading into it.
