  1. I think its really cool how they're making family coasters with launches! Something thrilling for the lil' bro who's not tall enough for the huge rides!
  2. These are two reasons why I hate the ride. The so called 'airtime' hill seems like they tried too hard to make it an airtime hill and therefore it's not fun and is just plain uncomfortable. The other part is, what I call, the whiplash part. That and the following whiplash part hurt, even when I prepare for them they aren't fun in any way. Just my opinion. Hate is a strong word...hate is for rides like mean streak. Why would you complain about them trying too hard to put in an airtime hill... as opposed to them not trying to?
  3. Why are we even blaming anyone or anything... its like saying that alpengeist copied raptor because they both have cobra rolls. Like...no. If Thorpe wanted it to be a "worlds only" first drop, they would have clearly told B&M. And it seems to me like this will be a common first drop on these wing coasters like the pre drop then turnaround on the batman coasters. Its like if you're in kindergarten and you get this amazing dinosaur toy and everyone thinks its so cool, and then some other kid gets it as well, and you whine about it, but you have to live with it. And thats what Thorpe needs to do. LIVE WIITH IT AND NOT BE OBNOXIOUS ABOUT IT.
  4. The lines for the majority of the rides in the morning are really short. (except for mind eraser, which I'd think most coaster enthusiasts wouldn't mind if the line was long, or even if the damn thing was closed ) The most I've waited for bizarro in the morning (its always my first ride) is 10-15 minutes. Batman is also very short in the morning and even in the afternoon, 10 minutes, tops. The lines are MUCH longer by the end of the day though
  5. This one made it to failblog I laugh every time I read this... http://failbook.failblog.org/2011/03/15/funny-facebook-fails-six-flags-zero-clue/
  6. I've been on: The Dark Knight: SFNE Scream: SFMM kraken: Sea World Orlando Despite what others are saying...I really enjoyed kraken! It was really forceful.
  7. As excited I am for leviathan, I really wish they did something better for the lift. I mean on I305 that sudden launch-like ascent out of the station is one of the most exciting parts of the ride. But my top 3 are definitely: 1. Leviathan 2. Parc Asterix inverter 3. X flight B&M really hit the spot this year! And I'm sure whatever dolly gets will be amazing. The only reason skyrush isn't on my list is because of that god forsaken no limits animation of the ride. I mean SERIOUSLY. It barely gave any insight on what the layout will be like. They didn't even bother to paint the coaster in the sim!
  8. Im pretty excited to have this at my home park. I mean dejavu is one of the most intense rides there is (in my opinion at least) so to have another great coaster is good for six flags new england, who hasn't really gotten anything relatively thrilling since batman. (2002). The one problem I have with this is that....it's literally right next to Flashback. Hopefully they'll be facing opposite eachother (like dejavu's cobra roll will be facing flashbacks) or else this is going to look really weird.
  9. This is great! I always wondered why six flags never put the drop tower on it like dreamworld...
  10. ^Agree completely about the hershey thing. wow...six flags really hit a home run with all the new rides.
  11. Exciting! It looks to be Maurer. And if you go on their website they have a product called the "loop launch". Could this be it? Loop Launch Coaster
  12. Steel: I really like goliath at SFMM. It just leaves you hanging there for what seems like forever and then the drop feels never ending! And I gotta say, Mystery Mine's is pretty insane. Wood: EL TORO. THE END.
  13. so wait will it be on both sides or one? If its only on one, shame on you intamin!
  14. Hi, im a new time poster, long time follower of the forums. THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE! I'm so excited SFGam is finally getting that thing thats going to make everyone go 'wow'. I mean, aside from raging bull, none if the other coasters have that one thing that makes the park really stand out. (With the exception of Superman which, to coaster enthusiasts isn't as exciting, but to the GP it is.) Hopefully when the LA times posted that they didn't know about dollywood! As a quick side note, did anyone else notice the other attractions in that article?!
