  1. ^ I'm not really sure. I mean hydraulically pulling down the track (Th13teen) seems a lot more complicated than just letting it drop. (Zerier)
  2. I'm so excited to share this. Here's a Strata coaster that I'm working on called "Kenzero". Its basically what I think A strata coaster would be if Intamin made another one today, based on the I305 support system and QDC's. Trackwork, scenery, and supporting are not finished. (So basically everything (; ) I will not be double spining my track, though. Hope you enjoy! NOTE: THERE STILL IS MUCH TO DO. Support 180ยบ turn, tunnel, attach tower track to support towers, add hydraulic launch system & cables, etc etc. I work at an odd pace!
  3. ^ Im going to have to agree. I mean they can't make every ride perfectly smooth. And its a coaster-- sometimes its fun to have a rattle!
  4. There has to be something about this thats really unique in hyper world...if it's even a hyper! All of B&Ms recent coasters have had such interesting features, if they're building just another hyper I might be disappointed!
  5. ^holy moly I didn't even realize that...!
  6. ^^I thought kraken was very similar to khan force wise!
  7. Bizarro DEFINITELY has an intamin rattle. Especially entering the spaghetti bowl. I really dont think millennium force does.
  8. Well I mean...fine, I understand china making knockoffs of like designer clothes and bags and iphones and stuff...but to go to all the effort to knockoff a friggin roller coaster? Its not like its a simple piece of engineering either... I just don't understand.
  9. The smoothness, the color, the location, the originality...what a generous donation of engineering to the blossoming region of china, located in only the most majestic future worlds flagship theme park: Jinling Happy World Lu'an. I wholeheartedly thank our colleagues at Jinling Happy World Lu'an, and the selfless souls at Hebei Zhongye Metallurgical Equipment Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. to give us this gift from god and the heavens.
  10. ^ I think you should just experience it for yourself instead of asking a bunch of people about which one is better. They're both amazing rides, and in my opinion there's nothing thats bad about either of them. They're both rides that you'll get off and look at your friend and go "OH MY GOD !" And I don't even think people should compare them, because they were both designed with different thrills in mind. So keep that in mind when you ride MF. (:
  11. Maverick is insanely intense. Its one of those rides that keeps up amazing pace the entire ride. (Granted it has as 70 mph launch in the middle, but still ) If they would've advertised it as a family coaster, that would be ridiculous. I hope cedar point really makes a good move like maverick for their next ride. Hopefully this five year wait will pay off!
  12. Oh lord, if the drop has that huge of a pump, I can't wait to see what the loop looks like
  13. that color scheme is absolutely GORGEOUS No but seriously why is it brand new and looks like its 60 years old..
  14. I used to love those shows too, and it also interested my entire family, who aren't even coaster enthusiasts. I mean, sure, we have the internet faster than ever and youtube and things like that to watch roller coasters. But its still so exciting to see them on TV!
  15. Why when I type in the word.. r i n g s ..it turns it into "rings" OH MY GOD IT JUST DID IT AGAIN
  16. So on RCDB it lists a new coaster in the new for 2012 section called the 11 inversion coaster, and by the description and elements, it sure sounds like intamin by the elements and order of elements-- but it says its made by Hebei Zhongye Metallurgical Equipment Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. ( ) Whaaaat? http://rcdb.com/9821.htm
  17. Hahah six flags isn't exactly as wholesome and dedicated as Dollywood, no question about that. But you have to remember they had to remove iron wolf + the footers and everything, and Dollywood is just building anew. thats why construction hasn't started yet!
  18. In spy kids 2 or 3 (I don't remember its been years since I last saw them) The first scene takes place at schlitterbahn, and the girl asks the kid where her water is for the Super Slide (Master Blaster) and points to it in the background. Later in the movie they go to Six flags fiesta texas ( I don't remember what they called it in the movie) and there's various shots of goliath and poltergeist. (Plus there's this weird thing where they turn the Rip Cord thing (not sure if thats the real name) into a weird roller coaster.
  19. I think the drops are still a gimmick...I mean without the drop section on this specific coaster, there wouldn't be much to fuss over. They're just using this as a way to advertise the coaster.
  20. WOO lift hill porn time.
  21. Just something random I was watching while home sick today; news report I was watching on youtube about TTD. It's very interesting to hear them talk about it then, now! It just gets me hyped for the next time cedar point introduces their next 'big' ride. Thought I might share this with all of you!
