  1. What dive machine CTR is that? This is one of the best looking parks on this forum. That dive machine is fantastic, and the stations and buildings fit so well!
  2. ^I actually rode it yesterday and it was riding great. It was speeding through the course!
  3. I actually would think they'd have Superman ready for when Lex opens! Isn't that part of the whole schtick? I can imagine them doing something like when they cut the ribbon and the confetti goes off the Lex cars dropping as the superman cars go up.
  4. Grizzly Gulch looks so good. It's going to be so cool being in the little town and seeing the people launch by on what looks like train tracks. Brilliant.
  5. ^Agree completely. Car 1 Row 3, the airtime on the last few hills is unreal.
  6. ^He's right. This argument is so unnecessary.
  7. There will be another thin piece of steel laid on top so there won't be any holes to worry about. Is this an official picture of the track this coaster's getting?
  8. ^One can only hope. I rode Mean Streak last time I visited the point, and honestly it wouldn't be that bad of a ride if it weren't for those TRIMS. I mean really they are RIDICULOUS, and everyone sitting around me noticed them. It's just gotten to that point where its sort of pointless for them to keep up with this thing if they're not going to get rid of the trims. Plus the second half of the ride is just too spread out and doesn't do much. I can't remember anyone ever loving this ride, so why keep trying now? Hopefully this blog post is a sign that it's nearing the end. I most definitely would want to see it replaced with another woodie though.
  9. Hades? I'm also so excited to see what the cars look like on this.
  10. ^ It has been confirmed countless times that you will be able to have more than one coaster on a map.
  11. Is this a subtle slap in the face to enthusiasts?
  12. ^I had a plaster cast (big and bulky) when I went to CP last year and I was able to ride everything. I'm pretty sure the only way they wouldn't let you on is if it interfering with the restraint.
  13. As I do hope it is for Full Throttle, I can totally see it being something about LLDOD because of the line "BIG NEWS DROPS" But that's just a guess!
  14. I think hotel breakers is fine. They have that hibachi grill downstairs, TGIFridays and that breakfast place, convenience store and the rooms are not bad at all. Plus, you're at Cedar Point, how much time will you really be spending in your room anyway?
  15. @sammartel!
  16. I'd love to see some more of Batman's layout, but seriously overall this is phenomenal! The detail, especially in the supporting for it is great, especially on that loop. It looks really good so far.
  17. I definitely yell louder than anyone on the ride, even if I'm the least scared. Makes it so much more fun!
  18. I think any wooden coaster that is not the natural color of the wood it's made of is not great looking. Even white colored ones, I just think it looks much better when its the natural color. Blue streak at CP makes it work though
  19. ^ Intamin already has. Furius Baco - Port Aventura The point had a deal/contract with Intamin where they'd build a certain number of their coasters, and if I read correctly the last coaster included in the deal was maverick. The point could stick with Intamin (and if they ever build a woodie, I pray they do) but I think they're most likely going to try something different for a change.
  20. Luminosity looks great. It'd be cool if they got power tower/Millennium's lights to sync with a show like DCA with WOC. On the Wingrider note, I would love if this just ended up being mother of all viral advertising campaigns for a coaster, and the point was getting a completely different coaster. Not getting my hopes up though
  21. This makes me seriously excited to see what Premiers got in store for Full Throttle at SFMM. (If it's true its a Premier).
  22. I definitely think there will be something unique about it, we shouldn't worry about that. It is Cedar Point. I do however really hope though its more that of Wild Eagle then it is The Swarm (which it looks to be based on the layout given.)
  23. I was six and already into computers a lot, so one day my mom decided to buy me the most appropriate video game she could find— Roller Coaster Tycoon, which I still play obsessively to this day. Id be obsessed with locomotives and trains before that so its easy to see how one led to another. After spending lots of time going on RCDB and pressing 'random roller coaster', I finally was surprised by my parents with a trip to WDW. My first real coaster other than Big Thunder Mountain at WDW was Blue Streak at CP when I was seven, and it took me until I was around eleven to finally ride Millennium force, my first 'biggie'. I got in line with my cousin and was shaking throughout the entire queue, almost to the point where I chickened at the station. I ended up riding, being the start of my real obsession to this day. It was great especially for my younger siblings (and parents ) to help them overcome the fear sooner than I did having me as basically a tour guide and expert whenever we visited theme parks, making them much less scared to ride unlike I had when I was that age.
  24. Intamin launched coaster I'm working on. Inspired by a mix of ispeed at Mirabilandia, Stealth at Thorpe, and Skycar at Mysterious Island. Top hat, more soon
  25. I know this is a bit early but I love the way this ride looks already. Though frequently heavily supported, premier makes some real photogenic coasters.
