  1. Really an actualy magnetic launch? A few people the sscoasters froums have attempted to build these before and none of them got one to work. Since you have someone who works with electronic you might have a better chance than them. It will be interesting to see if you can get some kind of LIM/LSM to work. It looks like you need more speed, you could lube you cars with something like silicon oil. It helps a lot, trust me.
  2. ^ I'm going to have to clean and lube my cars. There is a ton of crap on the axles currently. O g is done
  3. I wieght and lube all of my trains so that they retain there speed better. It currently clears all of the elements with speed so I dont believe I will have a problem. I didn't realize that weighting the trains made that much of a difference. I've seen other K'nex coasters that are ridiculously tall, but only seem to make it through a very short course. I am looking forward to seeing this once it is completed...it's a beauty! Also, would you mind telling me how you weight your trains? I might see if I can do something similar for my sitdown CD trains in order to increase the efficiency. I simply tape pennies to the bottom of my cars. I have used 20 at the most and as little as 8 on this one. The more you use the stronger your supports need to be. Tube supports have a hard time handling 20 so I dropped to 8 on this one. I currently need to clean all of the crap off of the axles and lube them because my speed is starting to decline. Thanks for all of the comments

  5. I have always wondered about the spine on that section of track. I have never been able to find a picture of iron wolf with brakes there. The track was right after the turn through the loop and would be a logical place for the MCBR. But with Iron Wolfs dispatch rate putting one there would have never be needed.
  6. I havent built the roll before the lift yet. I also do not plan on using boosters. It currently clears all of the elements with speed. So I think I will have enough speed. Same goes with the roll.
  7. ^Thanks dude. No to many people seem to care about knex here... Oh well! Comments all always welcome. I Have started to work on the pull in to the zero g roll.
  8. Not to much knex on this site, so I figured I would put up what I have been working on. Its a B&M Floorless based off of Kraken made out of knex. So far I have the lift, loop, and dive loop done. Next is the Zero G roll. I am using the more realistic "tube" supports. Here is the nolimits version I made to show the layout: Now for the actaully stuff. And yes, I know that my basement is a total train wreck. What do you guys think?
  9. I would rather have a Intamin prefab or GCI. Considering that the only thing CP really lacks is a good wooden coaster.
  10. ^ I know what you mean. Non of them speak english and they are all ass holes.
  11. The ride op on Top Thrill Dragster told everyone to watch out for bats over the speakers. It was about 10:30 at night and he clearly wanted to go home.
  12. American Eagle without trims is an admazing coaster. If you ride it backwards it gets even better. But it is usually trimmed to death and they get worse and worse every year. Without trims it actually has great air time and admazing speed.
  13. A lot. Screamin' Serpent sets are about $60 - $80 with shipping off of ebay. I have I think 9 or 10 of them and that will get you something the size of this: And yes when I say its a B&M Looper I mean its a knex model that is ment to look like a B&M looper. For example in the video above I built that model to resemble a custom Intamin mega lite. A.J. says: When you use tags, make sure to include the whole URL.
  14. I am the only one here who does knex? This is the B&M looper I have been working on. I am currently working on the loop.
  15. I think once S:UF opens at SFDK nexy year it will take the cake for slowest and most painful line.
  16. Ya. I noticed that too. I wonder whats with the confusion on its location. Im just hoping that they build the themeing and possibly add more.
  17. I saw Pearl Jam about 2 years ago. They where epic as usual.
  18. I didnt know Storm Runner had a splash down! ^But the water currents could move the Skyrush track. If it pushes them into a hard enough object it could damage them. If the track even gets bent out of shape a little bit it wont fit and will have to be replaced.
  19. TDK's line moves extremely slow and when Mantis runs only one train (which it seems to do every time I go to CP) hardly moves.
  20. Saying X-flight stole The Swarms inverted drop is like saying that Kingda Ka stole Top Thrill Dragster's top hat. Its just so stupid. B&M are the ones who designed the ride and the element, not the park. When it gets used on other wing coaster will there be even more complaining? I sure hope not. Find something worth complaining about because its not like SFGAm is going to have there coaster changed because some brits whined about it.
  21. X Flight and Sky Rush. Mainly because those will be the only two I will get to ride.
  22. Epcot Magic Kingdom Hollywood Studios Animal Kingdom Six Flags Great America Cedar Point Mt. Olympus
  23. ^Is long as it is an awesome ride I dont really care how long it is. Batman the Ride is even shorter but kicks serious ass. This will keep me from complaining about new dditions for atleast 2 years.
