  1. STAY AWAY from Marienland at all costs. Worst park ever...unless you really like animals. (And for those of you that know about the whole animal situation that happened last year, I am not saying "Stay away" because of that....I just never like what the park has to offer).
  2. Kings Island made a mistake? Anyway, when the Bat website was found last year, someone on KI Central said that the logo could be made in 15 minutes. (Given that I'm in high school and it would take me under and hour to make the Bat logo, a professional could obviously create it a lot faster.) The same goes with the Centurion logo.
  3. The lines for those rides will be over 30 min, especially SkyRider (because its closing) and Vortex (which I find always hovers around 45 - 60 min when the queue is full)
  4. ^Are you really thinking that this picture is a year old???? The teal/yellow track can be seen behind the supports! And that is NOT giga spine....more like a flyer (which we have already semi-confirmed is indeed a flyer). Also, Leviathan doesn't even have track that looks like that.
  5. ^Nope, that picture was taken 3(ish) hours ago. Mulitple roller coasters can share the same colours you know.
  6. I guess needing to re-profile a section of the ride doesn't count?
  7. 2 days before the announcement Cedar Point updated their home page "Quick Links" with things like, "GateKeeper Photos", "GateKeeper Videos", etc. Even worse, they made the http://www.cedarpoint.com/gatekeeper URL live, revealing the entire layout and a few stats...
  8. *cough*GateKeeper*cough**cough* GateKeeper was easily the greatest screw up in amusement park history. Where can you find that site. I went to carowinds.com and couldn't find where it actually was That's the point....it's a troll. It's only meant to be found for the people looking for it (enthusiasts)
  9. ^Fast Lane is go to the ride whenever you want.
  10. ^Those type of tires have only been used on Dive Coasters (and that track is 100% NOT one). This all leads back to what I said regarding that this coaster may be something we've never seen before...
  11. No chance at all for the teal/yellow track to be a Dive Coaster. The spine is too narrow.
  12. I'm starting to think this will be something we've never seen before (Thunderbird included)...especially with the raised spine...its makes no sense if its just for a turn (because of the extra cost).
  13. It's randomized by a computer from 1 second to 5 seconds. I wouldn't be surprised if (in the video) it took longer to drop because their running it in manual mode for the sake of testing.
  14. From Dave Phillips (VP of marketing and sales), http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/skyrider-canada-s-first-standup-roller-coaster-nears-its-end-1.2729311 Coaster or more?
  15. Video from Wonderland: https://www.canadaswonderland.com/what-s-new/skyrider-1985-2014#panel1-1
  16. Actually, Busch Gardens Tampa pioneered it when SheiKra got its floors removed.
  17. I think he's saying that the word "boring" and "mundane" were repeated a lot in the message.
  18. I don't know if anyone has brought this up before but KOTD no longer exists... Credit: Knott's Network More pictures:
  19. Those are some huge supports in the background!
  20. But it still uses the friction pads (on the trains) for the drive tires.
  21. Really? I think Behemoth is nothing but standard camelbacks, 1 180 degree turnaround and some slow twists back to the station after the mcbr. Very different from Leviathans fast turns and overbanks. (I say very different lightly, they are both B&M mega coasters) This new layout and Intimidator look extremely alike. 90ish degree turn right after first drop, airtime hill, 180 degree turn, airtime hill, helix. Yes there are some differences too but they are pretty similar. However, I still think this will be a great addition to the park. Leviathan is great, so an even larger version will be amazing No, Leviathan doesn't slow down at the top. Actually, Levi's lift does slow down. I think its because if the train went over at "full" speed, it would be to fast and increase the g's. The last valley right before the brake run already packs a punch (I grey out on it every single time). And yes, they do have the trims but I think they haven't ever been used extensively. And coming from a person (me) who's home park is CW, Levi and Behemoth are two completely different experiences.
  22. Wikipedia says Leviathan was 28 million, so this hopefully will be a little longer with a decent brake run (or are the extra 2 million just for the additional height?) When you factor in inflation, in today's dollars, its actually 28.8 million.
  23. BSC at Wonderland uses water to cool down the fins. I'm not sure if the other clones do the same. The Centurion trademark has been suspended because another company already owns the trademark. So for 2015 at the least, Centurion is off the table as a name.
  24. I honestly hope you are being sarcastic with this. First, if you ride in the front, you get way more ejector air going over the 2 hills (and I mean A LOT more). Second, your head does get smashed. Third, most of the smashing is in the helix (of death). I don't understand how on earth you find the helix "nice"... Don't even bother with Backlot. Its my opinion, but that coaster is nothing special and defiantly not worth the extra long wait. Even when it comes to The Fly, unless your really lucky, you going to be in the line for quite a long time.
