  1. All media events have also been cancelled including the night party for the 100 contest winners http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/attractions/theme-park-rangers-blog/os-falcons-fury-busch-gardens-delay-20140418,0,6044237.post http://www.tampabay.com/things-to-do/travel/florida/opening-of-falcons-fury-at-busch-gardens-delayed/2175763
  2. Though never proven, wasn't the rumour that Leviathan was supposed to go to Knott's but then got sent to Wonderland. After a few minor modifications to get the coaster to fit the land at Wonderland we have what we have today? Again, I have no idea if this is true.
  3. My homepark is Wonderland and I've never found the trims to be forceful. What I mean is that the trims are always on but they aren't on full power and they don't shave off a lot of speed IMO.
  4. Just thought I would let anyone interested that the peeps over at Carowinds Connection found several blue prints online of a remodel of the park entrance and spotted coaster footers on some of the ariel blue prints. After someone did some matching, it looks like the footers are matching the exact layout of Leviathan. http://carowindsconnection.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3941&start=1155
  5. Actually, a member on CW Mania created an animation of the vehicles based on the pictures released by Wonderland. If the animations are accurate, there won't be any up/down motion, just left/right.
  6. Wonderland said way back in August that the capacity will be about 600 pph.
  7. I'm sorry guys but the drop isn't very steep at all....let alone a drop. Sorry for getting anyone's hopes up....it looked like a drop from the roads. Full gallery of construction pictures that I found a few days ago but never posted here (they are AWESOME pictures): (The picture above was just uploaded today)
  8. Look at these awesome pictures I found of the construction of WMG!
  9. Sounds like a credit to me. Anybody have a picture of this? "A reader..." is me. I have sent an email to Lance as he misunderstood my initial email. The drop isn't "steep", its probably on a less angle than The Fly. Its hard to tell the angle because the mountain is right in the middle of the park, away from the public roads.
  10. The guy who runs RCDB (his name escapes my mind right now) told the LA Times that he is waiting to see if the coaster has significant drop(s) as that would classify it as a coaster in his eyes.
  11. UPDATE: The rides name is still Wonder Mountain's Guardian. "Guardian: Quest For Gold" is the name of the 2014 game (every year the experience will change)
  12. According to the latest email Wonderland sent out, it looks like they may have renamed WMG to Guardian: Quest For Gold.
  13. Update: AAA101 from CW Mania drove by Ontario Place a few days ago and confirmed that the Topsy Turvey waterside has been removed. http://purecoaster.com/2013/11/16/ontario-places-topsy-turvy-is-gone/
  14. Aside from a dragon theme, I do not believe this ride will have anything to do with Thunder Run. I will say though, on my last ride through Thunder Run last week, I did notice the show lights for the dragon were not on. I am sure it was nothing, but it was just a little strange. The show lights in Thunder Run haven't been working all season. Or at least they haven't been whenever I've been at the park. All the lights were working when I went on it (just in case the rumours of the ride being removed were true). Aside from a dragon theme, I do not believe this ride will have anything to do with Thunder Run. I will say though, on my last ride through Thunder Run last week, I did notice the show lights for the dragon were not on. I am sure it was nothing, but it was just a little strange. Could you see Herman's eyes? If so, its been like that for the past several years.
  15. TrioTech's CEO said the ride cost's about 10 million. Also, Wonderland has confirmed to CW Mania that the capacity will be about 640pph....very concerning. Some other stats that have been confirmed to CW Mania include: - 4D interactive dark ride with the core thrill being heavily based on graphics - uses 3D projection (riders will wear 3D glasses) - uses wind, movement and other special effects to add the 4th dimension - riders will board inside of the mountain near ground level - the ride will exit the mountain and climb the lift on the mountain exterior - at the 60' level the ride will plunge back into the mountain - there will be multiple drops throughout the ride - 1000 feet of coaster track - the ride is gravity-driven - longest interactive wall in the world - highly sensitive targeting guns that will "interact" with the environment - content of the ride can be easily changed to vary the experience - there will be 5 trains, each with 8 riders - approximately 640 pph - the engineering department at Wonderland is currently working on designing the track (Credit goes to DantheMan from CW Mania for asking the park for this info)
  16. That rumor was never confirmed.
  17. Unless Dorney Park surprises everyone tomorrow during their announcement, I think its safe to say CW is getting the dark ride. When you say they would like to refurbish the walkway, do you mean that they would like to re-open it in the future or they just gave a general response not hinting anything?
  18. What time is the announcment at tomorrow?
  19. There are other pictures that are named "body ______"
  20. ^I don't know about the dark ride anymore. I did some searching in the css coding of Canada's Wonderland website last night a found a picture that defiantly looks like it is meant for a dark ride (the archived image is linked below). After I posted it on CW Mania, the park removed the image pretty much saying that Wonderland will likely get a dark ride for 2014. I feel like the only reason CW would get a dark ride first is to make sure CF can perfect this type of ride before bringing in to the point. http://www.webcitation.org/6J4sh4eQ3
  21. The park only removed the mountain picture so I'm pretty sure the dino pictures have nothing to do with this new attraction.
  22. I think I may have found a 2014 picture (looks like its still being worked on). I found it in the css coding. This is how the fact that Banshee would be the longest invert in the world was leaked on KI Central. I thought it would be worth giving a try for Wonderland and it worked! https://www.canadaswonderland.com/css/screen.css Under the "global" heading, there are 4 picture links body.internal{ background: #1542a0 url(/images/structure/bg-body-internal.jpg) no-repeat top center; } body.dino1{ background: #000 url(/images/structure/bg-body-dino1.jpg) no-repeat top center; } body.dino2{ background: #000 url(/images/structure/bg-body-dino2.jpg) no-repeat top center; } body.dino3{ background: #000 url(/images/structure/bg-body-dino3.jpg) no-repeat top center; } body.mountain{ background: #000 url(/images/structure/bg-body-mountain.jpg) no-repeat top center; } Add the bolded part to the Wonderland's homepage url. http://www.webcitation.org/6J4sh4eQ3 This is the mountain picture. And just an FYI, after looking through some archives of the css page, I'm, 99% sure that the mountain picture is for 2014 as that image didn't exist in June. (UPDATE: The park has removed the image, but I archived it last night, to see the picture, click the link above This pretty much confirms that the picture is for 2014 and that the ride will likely be a dark ride!)
  23. Is the name of the roller coaster "Wing Coaster"???
  24. When are they gonna update the 2014 website???
  25. Mark down August 30 on your calendars!!! Only 2 weeks to go! What time, I don't know. Thanks Dineen for responding
