  1. From the permit: "...for the installation of a 60 m high “shrouded” tripole telecommunication tower..." "Shrouded" means to cover something to conceal it from view. The tower is painted Behemoth's colours so as to "hide it" because its going up just in front of the helix. The diagram also shows 4 sections of supports....which is exactly what we saw in the original pictures posted (pieces were numbered 1 to 4). This is 100% not for an attraction. The structure is for a cell tower. Here's the permit I found a while back which was filed in 2012 for the tower. http://www.vaughan.ca/council/minutes_agendas/AgendaItems/CWA0904_23.pdf The description and diagrams perfectly match what we have seen. Also the ad on the radios makes NO MENTION of a "NEW" waterslide...just a triple drop (probably referring to the Plunge). Just to clarify, I never said "new". I'll say this, that's one funky looking cell tower lol I was referring to Haunt Maniacs post:

  3. Looks like WMG will likely not open in time for opening weekend. According to a user on CW Mania, media day for the ride has been cancelled. http://www.cwmania.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=58995#p58995
  4. There are actually 6 funnels. Topsy Turvey is actually 2 slides (3 funnels each). Also, I haven't heard the commercial yet...what cstation was it on? (By now its probably a lost hope...for all we know the park could of pulled the ad but begs the question if they meant do this...). Regarding the supports in the parking lot...the only lead I was able to find was a pic of a slide in Japan using a similar support structure: http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t1.0-0/q71/s480x480/969185_539732972757628_1211872177_n.jpg
  5. That's what I mean by "dips"....those aren't drops at all......
  6. I don't know what Wonderland is advertising a "drop" as but the slide at Ontario Place didn't have 3 big (or even small) drops...just some "dips"....
  7. Falcon's Fury reported to open on THURSDAY!!! http://www.bradenton.com/2014/04/28/5125384/record-falcons-fury-to-launch.html ....unless they didn't get the memo.... EDIT: Article is incorrect per post by aCoasterStory.
  8. By "attraction" do you mean just "ride" or both "ride" and "water slide"? And are you suggesting this is for 2017?????
  9. It's likely the fallout of what happened with Texas Giant. Cedar Fair just wants to reassure the public.
  10. Leviathan doesn't have seat belts.....at least for now. Also something a CW Mania user just pointed out: Something not look right? Credit: Duck @ CW Mania
  11. According to a report on CW Mania, the seatbelt situation has made the loading procedure twice as long. For behemoth, the t-bars are locked in the upright position, all riders must put on the seatbelts and attendents must check them all, then the restraints are lowered and a second check is needed. Oh, and the seats rotate 90 degrees in both directions and capacity is 600-700 pph.
  12. Supports (for a waterslide?) Have shown up in the parking lot. http://www.cwmania.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2708&p=58898#p58898
  13. I was talking to Lance and he has a pretty good theory (or at least one that I agree with)....Diamondback is the "test" coaster to see how the belts impact the roller coaster. Based on the results, in 2015, seatbelts may be added to the other B&M's. He also brought up a good point that when Cedar Fair bought the Paramount parks, the first thing they did was put seat belts on the mine trains and arrow loopers....

  15. Looks like they haven't fixed the problem yet, the cylinder is still detaching.
  16. Yup, the drop is going to be amazing! http://www.usatoday.com/story/dispatches/2014/04/25/busch-gardens-falcons-fury-drop-tower/8070783/ (Skip to 1:00)
  17. SPPN's are never busy...especially if its cold. In 2012 when Leviathan opened, I got 10 laps in an hour on the ride.....and frost bite by the end!
  18. I agree... I can't believe how fast those seats snap back into place! I was expecting a soft return to the upright position... Not a neck breaking snap! I cannot wait to experience this bad boy!!! Wonder if the seatsare supposed to snap back that quick... Maybe the broken cylinder was caused by them tilting too quick? Seats are supposed to start tilting back in the pre-brake section making it a smooth transition. Right now, the seats are tilting back in the actual braking section.
  19. According to the FAA, the tower was supposed to be erected by the end of 2013....so let's just say they're a few weeks behind... https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=191990102
  20. I think this has something to do with the ankle guards: https://www.facebook.com/BuschGardensTampa/photos/a.111637570238.125557.68181225238/10152278627745239/?type=1&stream_ref=10
  21. According to one of the comments on the video, as soon as the gondola hits the pre-braking section, the seats are supposed to start returning to the vertical position. The cylinders (the thing that snapped) are set to tight which is causing the issues.
  22. There's a video on the BGT Fans Forums showing a part of the gondola that tilts the seats back breaking and hitting the tower...not good.
  23. No it didn't. Only the rebar and footer caps had the giga coaster labels....those weren't made by B&M. When the track arrived, the lable said MC (which stands for Mega Coaster).
  24. B&M doesn't have a Giga Coaster, only Intamin does (remember that giga is an intamin term). B&M classifies coaster 300+ as hyper coasters.
  25. ^ I've always found the turn around to odd. It seems that the turn was extended/pushed out more to fit the island at the entrance but that's just IMO.
