The reflections on which we used to rely - crushed were we to discover that they could only lie.

This was taken .. like four years ago, when I only had one lip piercing. Me being GANGSTARR. Me in Florida looking over the balcony. Excuse the double chin.

Your 2005 Year In Review!
307 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
--Your 2005 year in review: PCW throughout the summer [though working there has made me enjoy it less], CP in May, June, August, PKI in June, MFI in July, MIA in August, Knoebel's/Dorney/Hershey/William's Grove/PKD/BGW/BGT/IOA/USF/Conneaut Lake in August. --Your first coaster of the year: Wild Beast at PCW --Your last coaster of the year: Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake --Best new steel to me: Alpengeist --Best new wood to me: Lightning Racer at Hershey.. or Shivering Timbers at MIA, which I had been dying to ride for six years. --Best new flat ride to me: Shockwave at PCW probably, or Maxair at CP --Best new water ride to me: Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls at IOA --Best new dark ride/walk through to me: Spiderman at IOA --Best new park to me: BGW or IOA --Best park "moment" of the year: Finally riding Shivering Timbers, Volcano, and FINALLY going to BGW. --Best overall park "trip" of the year: The August trip to Florida --Worst new attraction (any kind) to me of the year: Hypersonic at PKD, because I didn't expect it to suck so hard. Close second is Tomb Raider at PCW, which I expected to suck.. but not so much. --Best non-park related moment of the year: Spending time in Florida on the beach with my girlfriend. --Best Amusement related news of the year: The Voyage! --Worst Amusement related news of the year: PCW is getting a stunt show as their new attraction next year. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH. --Ride that I had to rethink my opinion of in 2005: Anaconda at PKD, Minebuster at PCW --Hopes for 2006: That our planned trips actually come to fruition and are as awesome as we hope they are. -
Audioslave is the worst band ever. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia.

I saw Ladder 49 on Friday. It was uh.. okay? I'm a sucker for sad movies, and this was no different. But I didn't feel any emotional attachment to Joqueen Phoenix. I mean, he met/fell in love with/got married in the span of four scenes.. this tells you how much they focus building relationships in this movie. It also spans 10 year but NOBODY LOOKS DIFFERENT AT ALL. And I saw the Family Guy movie last night. Family Guy is not made to run an hour and a half, but it's still a hilarious movie. "I'm a tool. I have no friends." Classic quotes from robot Brian.

Oh jeez, some of these are like picking an SLC or a boomerang. Nobody wins!

I like the 23x23 ones because it's the best of both worlds, but the smaller ones work a lot better if they're inserted in the middle of a line of text. The 30x30 ones kind of throw everything out of alignment. But the 23x23 ones do the same, but not nearly to the same extent. Props to Wes for doing all of this work.

The "Post your favorite Simpson Quotes" Game

Mr. Burns: What are you doing in my corpse hatch? Chief Wiggum: Mr. Burns, you're under arrest for murder. Mr. Burns: Uh, did I say corpse hatch? I meant innocence tube. -
Well.. if these were smaller I'd be all over them. But they are pretty huge. There are a few good ones, but not a noted improvement over the previous set. I will say though that they are expertly done, so good job with that. Just too big for my liking.

Bumper Cars- Track Or Rectangle?
307 replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rectangle. I don't like being told where to go. -
Are you serious? I don't know your track record, so this could be entirely plausible [ie: if you've only ever been to Wonderland, it's about the only themed ride there].. but otherwise, wow. Not to be a jerk but.. wow. Dueling Dragons is pretty wild, as is Incredible Hulk. Cat in the Hat? Basically, anything IOA.

THOSE SHAMU CARS!!! THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I must go there for the Shamu cars alone. Those things are amazing!!! -
It's just over an hour and a half from Geauga Lake. At least that's what I remember.

Also, Hershey and SFA will likely be packed on weekends, so uh, budget time accordingly. We went on a Thursday and Friday last year and it was insanely crowded. SFA -> Hershey -> Kennywood would probably be a quicker trip. However coming from LI, I would have no clue. Not sure if Waldameer is even open on weekdays at that time. Same with Knoebels. The other parks should be, but only if you go in late May. I think we're hitting up Kennywood on June 2! Waldameer is definately worth a couple of hours of exploring. We went to CP, Geauga, and Waldameer in 2004, and had more fun in three hours at Waldameer than we did in two days at Geauga. We also finished everything at GL in about five hours. It was a freakin' desert there. Have a good trip!

Seeing my girlfriend. Plans undecided from that point.

MLB Season Over, Now were On To The Off Season Acquisitions.
307 replied to BelizeIt's topic in Random, Random, Random
That's a solid line-up for SF. Here's what I'm seeing the Jays as, after they deal Shea Hillenbrand and Eric Hinske 01 SS Russ Adams [they insist he be a lead-off man] 02 LF Frank Catalonnatto [.300 hitter] 03 CF Vernon Wells [let's see if he can hit 30HR, 100RBI!] 04 DH Troy Glaus [worst pick-up this season, still should be good for 30/100] 05 3B Corey Koskie [pray to God he has a better year this year] 06 1B Lyle Overbay [20HR?] 07 RF Alex Rios [let's hope he finds out what "hustle" means] 08 C Gregg Zaun [ugh] 09 2B Aaron Hill [..we traded the best 2B in baseball for this guy to play more!] 01 Roy Halladay 02 Ted Lilly 03 AJ Burnett 04 Josh Towers 05 Gustavo Chacin SU Justin Speier CL BJ Ryan The Jays have a real team this year! It excites me. Would've excited me more if we didn't give up Orlando Hudson for Glaus, but them's the breaks I guess. -

Favorite Coaster Color Scheme
307 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dark purple is a favourite scheme of mine, but I don't think it really suits a Batman coaster. I still think it looks cool. Alpengeist's colours are really bland, however they are incredibly suiting of the coaster's theme. So I guess that could be up there. Dueling Dragons is also quite awesome, as is the Hulk. -
What parks do you plan to visit in 2006?
307 replied to coasterguy618's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You guys are all insane. I'd love to be able to dedicate as much time to coaster riding/tripping as you guys do. I'm going to bestow congratulations on anyone who is lucky enough to visit more than 15 new parks in a season. You guys are truly inspirations to us lowly folks who only get a couple a year, due to funds [and the lack thereof]. ALMOST FOR SURE -- Numerous trips to Paramount Canada's Wonderland [employee pass represent] May 25 - Six Flags Great America May 26 - Mt. Olympus May 27 - Timber Falls/Mt. Olympus May 29 - Indiana Beach May 30 - Holiday World May 31 - possibly Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, may be axed due to lack of funds June 02 - Kennywood June 03 - possibly Idlewild and Lakemont, again, may be cut due to lack of funds IF I COME INTO SOME EXTRA $$$ -- La Ronde -- Six Flags New England -- The Great Escape -- Seabreeze -- Six Flags Darien Lake 98.2% NO WAY -- Lake Compounce -- Six Flags Great Adventure -- Hersheypark -- Paramount King's Island
