2016 will be a waterpark expansion for sure, but we don't know if it will just be a new splash pad, or an additional slide complex or even a ride on the dry side as well. It's up in the air at this point. Why do you say 2017 "should" be a flat ride? I'm all for adding flat rides, but there's only so long you can market and expand on years and years of inexpensive additions. You said it yourself, SFA is in a competitive market. This is something they can take advantage of though--this park has waited long enough and made such dramatic changes since its worst days. The park deserves it, the longtime visitors deserve to see this park take a much greater step. Its been inching forward for five years now--time to take the leap. A flat ride is not what this park needs most at this point. I say flat because they have a solid coaster line up. Even though the park is my home park I rarely go b/c I it always felt like a second class park but on paper they have a solid/diverse line up: Hyper Coaster, Flying Coaster, Launch coaster, Stand up, Invert, Twisted Woodie, Out and back woodie, spinning wild mouse. SFA's problem is that most of the coasters thy have are rough or old or used. While I think the park can use another another flat is because the park doesn't really and hasn't built a legit flat ride in a while. Fireball is a start but what about a Super Swing or a Frisbee ride. A strong/intense flat ride will help their portfolio. They built French Quarter Flyers (Larson Flying Scooters) in 2014.

Any Update on Cannibal for SLC Locals? -
How is it compared to the Penguins Blizzard River. It was in my top 2 Rapids Rides (Tied with Rapids at Hersheypark RIP) If it was in your top-tier for the theming, then I think you're in luck. Six Flags removed just enough DC Penguin theming for KK to not get sued. Raging Rapids River Ride is indeed the most heavily themed ride in the park, which is almost quite alien for the park come to think of it. It has quite a good length to it too! Biggest downside is that it is in need of more rafts, and by then probably some more employees to help with bringing it to "people-eater" status because it looks like it has the potential (I think I counted 4 or 5 rafts). The line was at a standstill most of the time, before moving forward a couple of feet every now and then... It wasn't in my top for Theming, But for getting you Soaked.

COUGH Cyclone at Six Flags New England COUGH COUGH Medusa at Six Flags Mexico (2000) COUGH That is a good point2. In fact, RMC retracted sections of both Rattler AND Cyclone before doing IBox seasons after. Now, I cannot say that I'm completely confident in this rumor, but if it were happening, I would expect SFDK to announce the closure of the coaster in a month or so. Keep your ears open people, Six Flags may be on a roll for these California parks!! Personally, I would be BEYOND stoked for another RMC in California after riding Twisted Colossus a few weeks ago. IMO, it would be a perfect addition to the park's coaster lineup!... Well an RMC would be perfect anywhere... I'd rather RMC Iron Horse Grizzly instead but that's me. Also I'd bet money on a SFFT Batman but that's me.

Food. I can just drink water and soda. Would you rather Knott's rebuild Knott's Beary Tales or Soap Box Derby Racers? -
Where do you get 20 new rides or are you confusing this with the "War on Lines" at Six Flags Great Adventure in 1999 where all those flats they added were eventually moved to other parks? 1. Batman Knight Flight 2. Superman Ultimate Escape 3. Villain 4. Road Runner Express 5. Hurricane Bay 6. Calypso Creek 7. Shipwreck Falls 8. Looney Tunes Foam Factory 9. Larger Than Life Play Area 10. Daffy's Sub 11. Marvin The Martian's Rocket Ships 12. Speedy's Big Trucks 13. Taz's Twister 14. Tweety's Tweehouse 15. Wile E. Coyote's Balloons 16. Yosemite Sam's Train 17. X Flight 18. Bounty 19. Geauga Queen/ Aurora Belle 20. Turbo Bungee

Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
Rollercoaster Rider replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Alot of Kennywood Ent. coasters are mainly 1 and done's. They only added 1 Vekoma Boomerang, 1 CCI, 1 Arrow Looper, 1 DH Morgan Coaster, 1 Reverchon Spinning Mouse, 1 Premier Rides Looping Coaster, Etc. I don't see them adding another wooden coaster for some reason. This may be blasphemy but I would not be against them RMCing Racer with Topper Track and making it longer but keeping it Mobius.
