  1. Six Flags Entertainment Village 134 Acres with a Resort, Waterpark, Shopping & Dining
  2. Frontier Canada at Canada's Wonderland Where the Rapids and Waterpark is. Was to contain a Steam Train and a Mine Train coaster.
  3. The Six Flags Astroworld CCI Wooden Coaster that was planned in 99 that was supposed to be a Ghost Rider like Coaster This forum sounds similar to one I did http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=59745&hilit=
  4. I heard it was CCI Racing Wooden Coasters where Les Taxis' are. Six Flags Connecticut http://www.nytimes.com/1996/07/10/nyregion/six-flags-plans-to-build-a-200-acre-theme-park-near-foxwoods-casino.html
  5. That we are! And yes- there is (like most service/entertainment/retail businesses) a "fine line" relative to managing expenses to be profitable, while not harming customer satisfaction. On the subject of expenses/profitability- the General Manager's for each park are aware that long lines that often occur at concession stands, rides, etc. They also see the potholes in park lots, weeds in the landscaping, fresh paint needed, just as we do! With that- they do care, however- have an expense budget allocated to them, that cannot be exceeded....and with the right management team in place, the parks run well. SF margins do not allow everything to be a pristine as a Disney park.....different business model, and different expectations with the GP. Am I happy about that? No!- as I'd love a SF park to have the level of staffing and upkeep as a Disney, but again- the business model does not allow that. Disney isn't pristine or does upkeep all the time either. Also they are cutting staffing due to Shanghai going over budget.
  6. Cedar Fair also considered Funtime Star Flyers and Sally Interactive Dark Rides.
  7. Caramel Corn Would you rather: Animal Kingdom shutting down forever and all attractions scrapped Hollywood Studios shutting down forever and all attractions scrapped
  8. Looping Dragon, If that counts
  9. Even though I've never been to this park (And obviously never will) I believe that out of all the parks Six Flags sold, This was the biggest mistake.
  10. Something in Vegas. Probably The One at Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix
  11. For Me with Employees/Cleanliness/Clientele, Unless your staff is horrible or your park is dirty, I rarely notice this. I've met bad guests at Silver Dollar City and great guests at Six Flags Great America I've had bad employees at Dollywood and good ones at Fun Spot America
  12. Tie: Green Lantern at SFMM Mind Warp at Martin's Fantasy Island
  13. I would build a new park in Nashville. About 120 Acres (I would go the Blackpool/ Kennywood/ Grona Lund route and build rides through rides) 18 Rides I'd Open With: Coasters 1. Zierer Tivoli Large (Robin Hood) 2. Gerstlauer Euro Fighter with Lap Bars (Wabash Cannonball) 3. Gravity Group Wooden Warrior Clone (Twisted Timbers) Family/Thrill Rides 4. Sellner Tilt A Whirl (Yellowwood Whirl) 5. Chance 50ft Carousel (Southern Belle Carousel) 6. IWERKS Motion Simulator (Tennessee Turbo Theater) 7. Zamperla Endeavor (Hot Chicken) 8. Zamperla Water Mania (Turtle Typhoon) 9. Chance Giant Wheel (Star Wheel) 10. Zamperla Wave Swinger (Music City Swings) 11. Larson Flying Scooters (Firefly) 12. Zamperla Log Flume like Paul Bunyan's at Mall Of America (Mountain Zoom Flume) 13. Zamperla Disk'O Coaster (Dizzy Devil) 14. Chance Electric Car Ride (Freeway 45) Kids Rides 15. Zamperla Mini Drop Tower (Tomato Tower) 16. Zamperla Camp Bus (Lucky's Campground Bus Tours) (Lucky the Cat will be my Mascot) 17. Zamperla Speedway (Strawberry Speedway) 18. Zamperla Convoy (Cumberland Rivers Trucking Co.) POP- Roughly $25 for an Adult and $15 for Kids. 5 Dollars Parking (10 Dollar Discounts after 5pm) I would never have an Upcharge ride in the park. Arcades/Games are the farthest I will go I would have Free Soda and Emphasize Season Passes ($70?) and Dining Passes ($60?)
  14. 1000 Taco Bell Tacos. I could probably do that in a month. Universe of Energy for 16 Hours OR Carousel Of Progress for 16 Hours. No food, drink, nap, or bathroom breaks the entire length of time.
  15. Same. I'm firmly in the "this is really no big deal" camp. I would also bet/hope on new restraints. Either Lap Bars (Probably not) or Soft Padding like on Banshee/Valravn/Wing Coasters
  16. Going with Piano John for Vacation. I loved how out of all the coasters at SFOG, They picked Ninja? Wile E. Coyote would have been better. Also, I had to laugh at how horribly photoshopped all those extra rides were. Delirium from Kings Island, I think the Hulk was in there, And I think I saw Dragon Khan too? The car made me laugh and that was about it. It was too R-rated IMO. They should have made it PG-13 or PG
  17. Outside holidays or lengthy refurbishments (which it had last year) Atlantis nearly always has it's maintenance day every other Monday so as long as you avoid that day you should be fine, the schedule is put up each month anyway so if you want me to check for you ahead of time on the Korean calendar which lists the attractions I can do that but the English website they have the opposite anyway (as in the calendar is under each attraction name) Personally I've always preferred Sundays over weekdays for Everland though (I've gone over it in a few TR's and the discussion thread). Word of warning though due to quite a warm winter T Express only just went down for it's annual rehab last week so it's reopening could potentially be a little bit later this year. Normally it reopens when temperatures warm up around mid-end of Feb so hopefully you will be OK. Spring can usually be the busiest period of the season (as seen by the blackout dates for the cheaper season pass: http://www.everland.com/web/everland/membership/yearly/pop.html) including weekdays so I'd assume they want it ready for the busy crowds.... not sure how late in March you are going. March 16-26
  18. Summer. I can wear shorts and T-Shirts and SFGAm would be Open 24 Hours at Animal Kingdom 24 Hours at Disney Hollywood Studios You must be there the entire 24 hours and no sleeping. No escape until the 24 hours are over
  19. I'm going in March, God I hope that all the coasters are open.
  20. It actually opened without restraints. But then Lawyers and Lawsuits happened.
  21. I've had Pizza with Bubble Gum so why not. Would You Rather: - Be tired with nowhere to sit or lay down - Be stuck on a 20 hour flight and not be able to sleep
  22. Cyclone Racers Drawn Poster 2 Angels with the Word "Sister" Amusement Park Guide 1991 Amusement Park Guide 1997 Amusement Park Guide 1999 Roller Coasters Of United States and Canada 4th Edition Fast Five BR+DVD
