KCForce's working model roller coasters
XYZ replied to KCForce's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Very good job on the model. I always wanted to ride Tidal Wave since CGA was my home park from 2007 to 2011. -

Just thought that was a bit cool. I actually have a screenshot of my 2012th post: It was on pg. 37 for the few who want to know...

I really like train rides. Whenever I go to Knott's, I usually go on the Railroad multiple times.

The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
XYZ replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some more Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprises for me: Pleasant: Supreme Scream: Everyone said how this is a boring S&S tower, but it was a lot of fun and has a very good freefall sensation. Xcelerator: I knew this was going to be good, but it was very good. It is now my favorite coaster in California mostly due to the launch. Technic Coaster: Other than the drop, I thought this would be boring. The reviews said the wild mouse turns aren't strong, but I think that the turns are pretty forceful. Plus, the final two drops are not as good as the first one, but they are fun. Pleasant/Unpleasant: X2 (SFMM): This coaster always puts me in an odd position as I still have mixed reviews with X2 even after a good number of rides. X2 can have headbanging and cannot have headbanging which dramatically affects the ride experience. X2 seems to rely a lot on the wow factor. Though that wow factor disappears quickly as the experience becomes familiar. Now whenever I go on X2, it just feels like a thrill ride that flops you around which isn't tons of fun that SFMM fanboys claim X2 to have. I just think X2 is overhyped on intensity and the overall experience. Unpleasant: Viper (SFMM): Many enthusiasts like Viper and I thought it would be decent, but it was very uncomfortable. I experienced no headbanging because it was impossible for me to have headbanging as the OTSRs are pressing against my shoulders. Viper became the 2nd worst coaster in SFMM for me. -

Most Interesting Form Of Transport To A Park???
XYZ replied to tiger01's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Magic Kingdom certainly has an interesting form of transportation as you get to the park either by monorail or boat. -

Today I was at Legoland California and there was an area where you build a Christmas house out of LEGO and you display it. So, I was building my Christmas house with my dad and my dad left for a minute to find a specific brick. Then, this one lady went to where my dad was building his house and I told the lady my dad is building there. She then looked around and told me, "Is he invisible?" I then gave her this face: Then she left. Random.

Nice trip report! My home park is Legoland California and it is interesting to see what some of the rides at my home park would look if it was built today. I hope LLM will have shade in a few years as one of the nicest things about LLC is the great amount of shade. -
For those who don't know, this is Jerry Brown who is California's current governor.

Legendary coasters (respecting the elders)
XYZ replied to S. Moses's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When I think about legendary coasters, I think about these four: Cyclone (Coney Island) Corkscrew (Knott's, now Silverwood) Magnum XL-200 (Cedar Point) The Beast (Kings Island) -
New Roller Coasters in the RAW Available NOW!
XYZ replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The collection of coasters on this volume is very good. I'll get myself to buy this in a few weeks. -
Theme Park Review in my opinion has the best forums out of any theme park website. The discussion on the forums is entertaining, informative, and realistic. I like how Robb, Elissa, & the TPR moderators keep the forums clean of the General Public which is a major problem in other forums. Theme Park Review has always been the best way to showcase my creations on various roller coaster games as I always get a rating on the Game Exchange. I like how the Park Index has the member ratings so I know how good the park is out of the general reviews. I'm going to my first TPR event hopefully next year: West Coast Bash 2013 at Knott's Berry Farm and I am very excited to meet the TPR group in real life. I would like to thank Theme Park Review for being the best way to find news and discussion and of how my knowledge of theme parks became much more mature through posting in these forums. I really enjoy Theme Park Review as I have over 2000 posts for a reason. Thank you TPR team for making the best theme park website in the internet.

Best And Worst Coaster In California
XYZ replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Best Steel: Xcelerator. I think that Xcelerator is CA's only very good steel coaster, the rest are just good. Though, it's not great. I think X2 is over-rated as it really isn't that intense and all it does is flop you around. X2 is my 2nd favorite steel because CA has a mediocre steel collection. Worst Steel: Green Lantern. GL tries to kill you when you have a good spin. Best Wood: Apocalypse. This is CA's only very good wooden coaster. Again, it's not great. Worst Wood: I have no worst wood as I enjoy all of them. Maybe this will change when I get my Giant Dipper (SD) credit in a few weeks. You can see my top 6 coasters in California on my signature.
