  1. Last movie I saw was Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Tuesday. It was pretty good but the way it ends it's like "that's it?" I have to what a year to find out what happens next.
  2. I didn't bother going to the stores on Thanksgiving. Best Buy was offering some of their Black Friday specials online, so I bought some $6.99 CDs with free shipping. I checked Walmart, Target, and Kmart on Friday evening but nothing caught my eye. I did buy three used XBox 360 games at Game Stop with the buy two get one free deal they had. I hate that some stores were only offering their Black Friday specials on Thursday (cough Kmart cough). It's not really Black Friday if the deals are on Thanksgiving night. I also didn't want to be part of making employees work on Thanksgiving.
  3. Hanger 24 Oktoberfest Lager I know it's not October anymore and it's almost December, but it was pretty good.
  4. Coca Cola Vanilla
  5. Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King!
  6. Cool Japan TR so far, can't wait to see more. And to anyone who's never seen Back To The Future: rent it, stream it, download it, buy it - watch it somehow.
  7. Red Light King "Born to Rise" Really liking this song. Their song "Old Man" from a few years ago is really good too.
  8. The latest Queens of the Stone Age album ...Like Clockwork is really good. I'm also thinking of getting the newest albums from Arcade Fire, NIN, Avenged Sevenfold, The Neighbourhood, and the new Linkin Park remix album.
  9. New Texas Giant
  10. This BobCart looks like a lot of fun and has really nice scenery. Lots of helixes and that final helix around that building looked really cool.
  11. Just saw this. Wow! Really cool homemade dark ride. And he was only charging a dollar to ride? Also the making of video was cool too. Glad I got to see the layout of the ride. Here's to hoping we see more of these in the future.
  12. This ride would have been groundbreaking before 1996. I'm sure the launch part is great and pretty intense and had this opened up before Formula Rossa, there would have been some buzz for this, but now it's like "so what". Superman the Escape was gimmicky, but at least it was the first coaster to break the 100 MPH barrier and it went 400 feet in the air. Formula Rossa is the fastest coaster in the world and has several features like curves and camel backs. Ring Racer has one of the most intense launches ever in a coaster but nothing much beyond that. It barely goes up any elevation. The only cool part after the launch is that it goes in and out of a couple of buildings and is indoors for a decent amount of time. But the potential to be part dark ride is lost. Still, I'm glad this thing finally opened up. I didn't realize it hadn't ever fully opened until a few months ago. It will be a good supplement to the Nüburgring race track. But I can only imagine how much cooler this coaster would have been if it had followed the course of the race track to deliver the true racing experience. Oh, money! Why do you have to be an object?
  13. The Magic Hat beers are becoming quite popular. I'll have to try them sometime. They have really cool labels too.
  14. Not really an offseason here, but I will be making a snowboard/ski trip to Lake Tahoe this January.
  15. I'll finally have to go to Adventure Dome the next time I'm in Vegas.
  16. This is a good idea for You Tube. I prefer the traditional TRs on TPR and would not notice these videos if not for them being on the forum or a link to them on the forum, but this is good for the You Tube followers that don't go on the forum often. I had to pause the video several times to read the captions, but I wouldn't want the video any longer just so I could read the captions, that's what the pause button is for.
  17. I'm drinking blood tonight Just kidding, it's wine! Happy Halloween!
  18. I was surprised by how flavors of Triscuits they are now the last time I was at Vons. They were at least 12 different flavors including 6 different flavors from the Brown Rice baked with Red Bean Line. Being on sale for $1.77 a box and with a $1 off two boxes coupon, I bought two boxes: Dill & Olive Oil and Brown Rice baked with Red Bean: Roasted Red Pepper. What flavors did you get TP Dave? Also as someone else mentioned, I really enjoyed the old school format of this TR report. Looks like a fun stay-cation for those of you living in Orlando, and a fun vacation for those of you flying in.
  19. I'm in seasonal beer mode right now, trying a lot of pumpkin and Octoberfest beers lately. The beer I had last night: Uinta Brewing Company Punk'n from Salt Lake City, UT. Yes, a beer from Utah. The beer I'm having right now: Dogfish Head Punkin Ale from Milton, DE. I like both beers but prefer this on of the two.
  20. Europe or Asia? Magic Mountain or Cedar Point? Schlitterbahn or Blizzard Beach? Universal Orlando or Walt Disney World? Better Boardwalks: California or Jersey Shore?
  21. I've been to all the parks in SoCal except for Legoland and most of them numerous times so I pick Central Florida because I have never been there before and I really want to visit Universal Orlando, WDW, and Busch Gardens.
  22. I've never been to either but they both seem pretty even and well balanced parks that it's a tough call. Due to the cave tour and the recent addition of Outlaw Run, I have to go with Silver Dollar City.
  23. I haven't been to either one yet and would love to go to both. If we were comparing Cedar Point to just the Magic Kingdom Park at WDW, I would pick Cedar Point as the Magic Kingdom is similar to Disneyland Park which I've been too numerous times. But comparing Cedar Point to all of WDW? Let's see: one amusement park and one water park vs four theme parks and two water parks plus a entertainment district and much more. Comparing the Golden Ticket "best" amusement park to the best theme park resort destination in the world it's no contest for me, I'm going to pick WDW. Unless I'm footing the bill, then I might consider CP;)
  24. I rode this in the Spring of 2010 and my ride wasn't bad at all. I rode with a friend in the front row at night, while another friend declined to go being on it once before. Maybe we got lucky with our ride, but I heard this ride was modified in certain parts at one point. Was this video taken before or after the modification? Also I agree the $14 ride cost is outrageous and I am surprised that many people fork over the dough without flinching. I had printed $4 off coupons online, so our ride cost was $10 each which was slightly less outrageous.
