  1. I was lamenting on whether to go next month when I'm in town. I think I'll wait until spring now. More beer related visit is now being prepped!
  2. I don't hate the prequels, but I don't like them either. One was by far the worst, with three being the best. Sounds familiar? Lucas shouldn't direct. I have all six in the collection, just because I grew up on the first three (who didn't in our age group), and hope to share these with my kids eventually.
  3. RCT4 would be a continuation of the RCT Series, thus it can not be a rip off of RCT. Here's a back at you.
  4. What am I going to do with all these photos of Robb's a$$ that I want to tag?
  5. What???? Yes, granted everyone is welcome to their opinion, sometimes they just don't make sense. I live 15 minutes away, ten if traffic is good. I've only gone twice this year, and not because the park is boring...I just don't have time. I made my first trip to SFGAm when I was four. We went as a family once a year (typically my parent's wedding anniversary) as a way for the family to enjoy a day together. And to help overcome our Disney fix between trips. SFGAm (Marriott's way back then) was a family based park. We could do so much together with all the kids areas, the flats, and even ride Willard's Whizzer together. Once Six Flags came in when I was a teen, that was when I stopped going. The park was taking out flats, and adding coasters that just didn't fit the theming in which they were placed, and it was really distressing for me, personally. Don't get me started on taking out Demon's lava pools.... I'm glad to see them getting back to family oriented rides, and attractions, as that's what will build a customer base for years to come. Adding more coasters, will not do that. A slide at a water? Yes. Do I grow bored with the park? Absolutely, but I still find myself wanting to return (more some years than others), and reminising of some great family memories, and now TPR memories.
  6. Check the scenery thread. As for the ride vehicles, try Googling "Revolutionary Rides".
  7. My guess, and this is the liability claims adjuster in me, they had to come up with a way to keep idiots from climbing the outer railings and possibly falling in.
  8. Went through the link at the beginning of this thread last night, as I was looking for a couple of sets that I managed to delete in a recent back up. Vodhin's site is gone, and with it, a lot of Custom Content. Glad I have all his sets, but some of the others he hosted may be lost.
  9. ^ Thanks. The 611 MB is what I figured. That's not too bad. RCT3 stuff gets really sizable, as most sets are around a 5 MB or more. I'll post this in the super secret ASSistants forum, for pondering. My fear is losing all the RCT/RCT2 content as these sites close. I'm not so worried about RCT3.....yet.
  10. Fixed that for you. Getting old is rough, and the years start to blend together. Great pics! I miss Sky Whirl... HA! You're right. I was a junior.....oy vey!
  11. Nice photos. Back in 1993, when I was a wee little lad, my buddy and I decided that Opening Day, we were skipping out of our last class, driving up to SFGAm, getting out passes processed, and getting in line for Batman (it's first day of operation). We waiting in the pass line for thirty minutes, then in Batman's queue for two hours. I'll never forget it. Or the scolding and the week of being grounded afterwards that I got. Still worth that week of hard labor!
  12. Because, you know, making the parks more kid friendly had nothing to do with their resurgence.
  13. As long as he's going to keep the download portion of RCTMart up, I'd continue to use it. Not sure how much stuff they have total over there, or the total file size. Does RCT/2 stuff take up that much space? If you want to look into it, be my guest. I can tell you that Robb and I have talked about expanding the Games section to include a database for parks, scenery, CTR, etc. Space, and bandwith would be the major barriers. So I'd need that info before I can raise it with him.
  14. ^ By undo, I menat more for scenery. I cringe whenever I heard the "boom" sound, and I don't know where it decided to place something, like a tree in mid air. Trust me, it happens. Dinosaur should never be undone! Heck, I think we should run a Dinosaur Re/Creation Contest!
  15. The only thing I'd really like to see in RCT4....if there is one, is being able to color each train differently, like in RCT1/2. And an Undo button for criminey's sake.
  16. Um, was. It's been gone for two years. Second, please do not double post, or post just to bump.
  17. Theme Park - PS One Theme Park World - PS2 I had the latter. It was OK, until RCT came out. Then I pretty much failed a semester.
  18. mcjaco

    Why?

Yep. I'm on there too, but don't post too often.
  19. Pretty sure Theme Park World was for the PS One, as I had it. It was actually quite rare, and was not anything like RCT3 or the Sims. You basically got to choose from some carnaval type rides, that you could only plop down in a gird, and the roller coaster and track rides had a very limited construction scheme. A decent game for the time, but even RCT surpassed it greatly.
  20. I deleted it. It was over the size limit per the Posting Rules and the Terms of Service.
  21. Cool. I have too may support sets, and can't keep them straight. That Batman shot is very nice.
  22. John, what set did you use for the supports and the footers in that Batman shot?
