  1. 3. SPELL CHECK YOUR POSTS!!!! There is a completely FREE spell checker available with the Google toolbar. A typo here and there is completely acceptable. We all are guilty of this. But when someone can't READ your post due to bad spelling, grammar, lack of capitalization, etc, that's a problem. If you aren't a good speller (and I totally admit I would be lost without my spellchecker) download it now: http://toolbar.google.com/ 4. Do NOT use "internet shorthand" - Use the proper and complete spelling of words. Do not shorten "you" to "u", etc. You're not messaging on a cell phone, you're typing on a computer. You have a full sized keyboard in front of you - USE IT!
  2. [ I've found if you use the same scenery pieces over and over (which is what I'm doing for the ECPOT park), the lag really lessens. My theory is that the program, and the PC don't have to render as many different items it can keep up. That park is a full 254x254. I've also noticed that it's the rides that create the most lag. The animation of them is what brings the game to it's knees. That's when I got my PC. It runs it, but I have to be realistic in my game setting sliders, and the park size, and how detailed I want to get.
  3. That's a very good way of putting it. I have nothing against the other two versions. I love them, and still tinker in them from time to time. RCT3 has just gotten a bad rap, which is really unjustified if you know how to work with it, and have all the fixes.
  4. Subsistence????? I still have all of the RCT games. Quite honestly, I don't even play RCT or RCT2. I love RCT3. It has so much more than the originals. Once Atari released Wild and the night crawler update, I've never has an issue with RCT3 in playability. I'm guessing that's the case with most users, since you never hear any more complaints. As PC's have gotten faster the past few years, RCT3 has become less of a strain. I have a five year old PC with only a GB of Ram, and 512MB video card. It plays RCT3 fairly well, unless I get too detailed and too big. BUT I've figured out ways around it (see my EPCOT Recreation). Those of you that continue to bash RCT3, probably haven't given it enough play time, or your system just isn't up to snuff.
  5. Nope. Chang is not coming. Lou does pretty good without help.
  6. ^ Agreed. I think if the beginning had dropped towards the raft ride, and had a turnaround element back, that would have been cool. I do like the color scheme, as it's very Six Flags/B&M during that time frame. Still one of the best park threads. Especially since it's always being updated!
  7. 1) Do some homework before you spout off. EPCOT opened in 1982. 2) If you don't get World Showcase, then you don't understand the entire park. 3) I took what you said literally. It's the only way to take something that was presented....literally. thrillrider, I'm not sure taking pictures of the Utilidors is allowed on the tour. You may want to remove those. The back hall entrance to the Haunted Mansion is for cast members as well. It's not themed just for the tour.
  8. Here's a great place to start: http://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/
  9. ^ An excellent way to end a pointless thread!
  10. Interesting idea. You may want to add other categories for parks that include water slides, wave pools, etc. Better get my Coconut Cove park and thread started!
  11. This is precisely why we have the rule about posting content with your thread. Too many of these threads existed. Think, plan, create. Then post.
  12. ^ Trust me, I'm sure I've read the same things. The Spain rumor has been off again/on again for years. I have artwork of the original signage that went up, during my first visit two weeks after opening. Along with Equatorial Africa and Israel. I have to remember to add some of these pictures to the Park Index. There's some shots of areas we don't have yet.
  13. It's the same as all the Zip files. Once you install one set of CS or a CTR, do the same for all of them. The files all go to the same place.
  14. Searchity, search, search. www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19001&start=0&hilit=Drawing
  15. That whole article is conjecture. Spain was one of the original "coming soon" additions after EPCOT's opening.
  16. Management has told us numerous times that the trim has always been there. It's also only activated when a train is a certain weight. Perhaps a good question for the lunch???? It can be settled once and for all.
  17. Just deleted a thread that contained a park map.....and nothing else. Read the RULES.
  18. Very nice. One of my favorite scenarios is still off of RCT. Leafy Lake....just loved that setting.
  19. Here's how I'd handle it. If you want to include the file, do it. If you don't. Don't.
  20. ^ The email should be it. Print it out and bring it with you, if you're paranoid.
  21. Honestly, these types of questions are so well covered in the "Readme" files of the downloads and on the Atari Forums, you should go there first. Same as above.
  22. I've only been to DLR three times, versus the forty or so times to WDW. I find each of them has their charms, and their deficiencies. Either way, I'll never turn down a trip to any of them. Nice report, Adam!
  23. I don't recall American Adventure having anthing to do with politics. Disney steers well clear of that.
