  1. Bo Burnham's good, "3.14 Apple Pie" is a favorite of mine. I also enjoy Stephen Lynch, Patton Oswalt, Carlin (of course), and many others. As of right now though my favorite is actually John Holmberg, the morning show host for Holmberg's Morning Sickness here in Phoenix. His ADD and crazy thoughts and impressions make for a very entertaining hour drive to work every morning.
  2. ^Thanks for that.........i guess?
  3. I got 12/20 on the rest of the world. China screwed with me.
  4. ^^he has a point, it's the exact same people on the train. The only difference I can tell is the bottom portion of the pic has a yellow support in front of the track where as the GL promo doesn't have anything there. Could be IW is getting modern trains and SF recycles the left portion of the promo and photoshops colors into it. EDIT: Nevermind what I said, just noticed the GL promo is cropped a little bit. jumped the gun on that one haha.
  5. I'm swaying a bit off of the current topic here, hope no one minds. I was browsing the TRs in the park index and ended up on GeaugaDogs retro TRs, great pics of CP, KI, KD, GL in the past. I was fascinated by the pics of the Magnum area in 89-90 and how much it's changed, new Mean Streak pics etc. But the one thing that sparked this post was the pics of Avalanche Run before DT was DT. This made me realize how ugly Disaster Transports building really is. I'm now 100% behind getting rid of the building and still about 60% behind getting rid of the ride completely. DT is the only bobsled I've been on and I've only known it as DT so it has a somewhat special place with me but I now realize how ugly it is. Who's with me?
  6. For me it's honestly a tie between MF and SFMM's Goliath. MF you get the feeling that it's never going to end but Goliath although not very steep goes on FOREVER. Both very very good. Also whoever mentioned before Tatsu's pretzel loop, one word...Yes. my emotions coming out of the egg turn and heading towards the pretzel we as follows...
  7. ^hmm must be that I'm remembering wrong Thanks!
  8. Just out of curiosity, how many hand builders use the auto smooth (ctrl+g) function? I hand build everything and I find myself keeping my fingers on those two buttons. I was wondering how many people actually use that and their take on if it's a worthy tool or not.
  9. Intamin's except for ZacSpins are never really compact. Maverick's compact for the punch it has, I305 looks very compact for being a giga. Compact doesn't necessarily have to mean that you fit a 2 minute ride into a couple thousand square feet. At least in my eyes compact means it turns in and out of itself with lots of twisty goodness.
  10. Has somebody been able to get confirmation/pics on this? If true it sounds like B&M is going to have a good year
  11. These are some great pics!! Makes me want to get back there, the only time I've been was when Hypersonic was up and running. For all you KD masters, has Volcano always had 8 cars? I seem to remember the trains being longer for some reason.
  12. ^The supports are nice and pretty again though MF has needed some love in the paint department for a while. I'm also not surprised it's taking this long, like everybody has said, 6600ft of box track, inside and outside, it's going to take some time. Last time I was there I noticed WT and TTD need some love too, hopefully they're next.
  13. And to add on to what you're saying, B&M loves their floater airtime. As far as I know there really isn't a beemer with ejector air, anybody correct me if I'm wrong. So the trims could be to keep that nice floater air instead of the train flying through the hills like an old Arrow/Morgan hyper or an Intamin.
  14. This show bothers me...Scottsdale AZ is full of Orange people thanks to this show. We live in the desert, you can't get a natural tan? you have to spray it on?
  15. I need to start planning/saving for my tat idea. I want on my right shoulder/upper arm a fist clenching a flower, probably a rose but haven't decided on that yet, with the pedals drawn like the Earth and blood dripping from the flower/hand. Kind of a Carpe Diem type thing. I want it grayscale, I'm not the biggest fan of color unless it's done correctly, and EXTREMELY detailed, almost picture quality.
  16. ^That's awesome!!! Seeing the Cup is always great, but personally I'd be more excited to meet Thomas. Playing goalie when growing up I watch them more than anybody on the ice and Thomas is one of my favorites. I'm going to say this right now, and I'm probably going to going to get hazed and horribly disappointed come the playoffs like the past two seasons, PHOENIX IS BRINGING THE CUP TO THE DESERT BABY!!!! Oh and NHL 12, yes checking into the bench for the win as well haha
  17. I was born and raised just outside of Detroit so my whole family and most of my friends are there while I'm here in AZ. Three hours is a toughie not to mention the 2500+ miles. I can understand what you're going through. Good luck, wish you the best.
  18. Man this is disappointing, I was really excited to ride Ghostrider when it opened hearing about the crossovers and hills. Now that I'm actually able to get to Knotts for the first time and ride I'm reading that it's lost its greatness.
  19. The more I see windseeker onride footage the more I want to ride one. I can't wait until I finally make it to Knotts to get a few spins in.
  20. I think "over the top and upside down" could represent a 90+ degree drop for sure. A Euro Fighter would be awesome, I've wanted to ride one of them for a while now, but we do need more Maverick-esque low fast and forceful coasters. *fingers crossed*
  21. Am I the only one who thinks it's absolutely hilarious when a pigeon starts to fly and its wings clap together? It's like they're applauding themselves for getting their fat a$$ off the ground
  22. ^The game comes out next month correct? All I know is there's goalie fights now, along with shattered glass and loose helmets and gloves among other updates...It's going to be great!
  23. Anybody here work on a "team" at their place of business? Well my "team" consists of three people and I'm the bottom of the totem pole, have been since I started 3 years ago. IT was all fine and dandy until one of them decided she didn't want me working here any more and started to try and get me fired, this was six months after I started. So for the last 2 and 1/2 years I've been playing defense to keep a job that I honestly love, that is until about three months ago. I'm so sick and tired of defending myself and watching over my shoulder that I've given up. I thought this morning "Wouldn't it be great if I got fired today? That way I could collect unemployment and find another job." In what definition of "team" does one of your "teammates" try to get you fired?! Rant Completed, I feel a little better
  24. I rode Raging Bull the year it opened but haven't gotten back to ride since. I still remember my ride and don't understand how you can say it's predictable. It has a fantastic layout and the figure 8 before the final brakes I remember has being quite forceful. Of course this is coming from a beemer fanboy but RB is their first and only attempt at a hyper twister. Personally I think they need to make more of them.
  25. Yeah I go every year been riding Griffon every year since it opened. Usually they are VERY good at loading, very fast, swift, and chill. But this year they were awful. I usually give the Griffon crew a 9/10. This year I give em a 4/10. Um, no. Griffon's crew has been very, very good all year. This is a video I shot in the spring where they have two operators and still get the train out right as the train behind it is pulling in, and that was honestly one of the slowest dispatches they had that day. I'll say he is efficient, checking pretty much 20 seats to her 10 and she had empty seats. Watching this though made me want to get back there and ride this, still haven't been on a DM. I love the look of those super wide trians.
