Update and predictions based of the Cedar Fair investment chart matching up with Canada's Wonderland's Redevelopment Large Multi- Year Project. Very busy day as usual and haunt stuff under way :0 Legend of Cedar Fairs investment predictions from me Hotel/ accommodations coming to more Cedar Fair parks. Hotel site prediction if we are to get one. Massive plot of land and it is owned by Cedar Fair and it can house a hotel and parking for guests. Hotel site prediction number 2 with hotel entrance to the park and removal of Action theater This is new, colourful sign and it features two settings, park hours and SEE YOU SOON! no more hiring adverts or boring black and white. New seating area around the new Food Truck near Sledge Hammer full que for back breaker... I mean Minebuster full que for Leviathan and ... wait what!?! A line up for the front of line game for Leviathan lol Vortex has a very over flowing que today lol tree removal and maintenance, nothing to see here move along! NEW FOR 2016, DIRTTTTT! here's an in person shot of where I think the hotel would go if we get one Kingdom of Carnages' new home??? the park clearly needs places that guests can line up after last years over park crowding and unorganized shitt show potential que for Kingdom of Carnage more potential que for Kingdom of carnage The Asylum haunt set up or it could be something else this year.. Halloween Haunt is coming! more haunt! Cornstalkers, gurl they can't hide you behind a planter lol One side of the theater is shut down, this would be perfect for them as it has a massive que line and they can still do a haunt show in there and use the other side for maze! -

Have you looked at it, it's very similar to what you see in neighborhoods... It's a small power supply thus why it's also fenced off. -

Reposting what KI Kidd posted in the development section; I would highly suggest reading through the Cedar Point Analyst Day release on the CF website. It has some great info on performance so far this year as well as a very interesting five year capital expenditures matrix. The oft discussed pie chart of park-by-park revenues and EBITDA is also present. Looks like park EBITDA broke down as follows so far this year: 1) Cedar Point 2) Knott's 3) Kings Island 4) Canada's Wonderland 5) Carowinds 6) Kings Dominion 7) Dorney 8) Worlds of Fun 9) California's Great America 10) Valleyfair 11) Michigan's Adventure There are also some interesting notes from the five year capital expenditure matrix. -Major coaster projects each year through 2020 -"Coaster Re-Work" projects for 2016-2018 -Mid-size thrill rides for 2016-2017 and 2019-2020 -Interactive Dark Rides for 2016-2019 -Accommodation expenditures in 2017 & 2019 -Ride Removals in 2016-2018 2016-2020 projects, oh did I forget to mention Minebuster! sports venues and commercial hotels coming to properities across the chain Just remember when I said BBQ and Brew was a huge success and expect to see one in 2016 revenues for the chain -

Small update; upon arrival I saw small amount of Canada's Wonderland Maintenance workers around the dirt pile beside Minebuster. I thought Minebuster maybe was shut down due to a small problem but it was working. There is metal fencing laid down on the ground next to the power supply station next to Stunt coaster with a people lifter there now where the workers were around. They also had dug up the splash works path again at some point and were re laying some bricks again. There is also a small patch of grass cautioned taped off next to Black Hole in Splash Works. 2016 is looking even more like a Splash Works investment and more land prep for 2017, interesting how their working on the power supply station next to Stunt Coaster cough cough multi launch wing coaster -

As a stockholder none of those parks are getting 25 million dollar coasters ANYTIME soon and by soon I mean like 5 years or more! As stated on the call they only put in expensive investments that pay ROI (return on investment). They said the next park other then their big parks to get the gold treatment is California's Great America. I don't see anywhere in his post where he said $25 million coasters. With that being said $14-18 million are not out of the question and that chunk of change can buy a decent sized coaster Thank you! That is exactly what I meant. I don't expect a $20 million plus price tag. Yes but Cedar Fairs money is currently being invested int he top 3 parks on a regular basis and now CGA is getting a massive investment. They have no moneyyyyy lol -

no one mentioned a multi year redevelopment of Canada's Wonderland. we talked about small additions not a large redevelopment... those are very important words as it says a lot of money is about to be invested into the park. And many people on this forum and other forums can vouch i talked about the family rides and bbq and brew and almost everyone was like nah man it's a coaster. You didn't cause I don't remember you, but most thought I was wrong. -

Nothing new bud. This was already discussed last year. NO IT WASN'T! No one discussed the fact that wonderland was now under a redevelopment project. we only talked about a new coaster not a massive multi year redevelopment of Canada's Wonderland.. -

So interesting topic of discussion, what could the large redevelopment program be? According to Phillips, Wonderland will be undergoing a large redevelopment program after Sept. 1. Currently, SkyRider sits on 5,100 square metres of prime space right between the Splash Works and the mountain. Here, Wonderland saw an opportunity. “We like to space out (our ideas) over time and we always want to be innovative and leading the industry,” Phillips said. “Guests still like it and it’s a great attraction, but you have to look within the park to understand what’s best for the future.” “The plan is to develop the land for future use. It’s on a prime piece of land in the middle of our park,” Phillips said of SkyRider. “Based on our history at the park, if you look at what’s happened since 2008, we’ve put in two of the top 10 fastest coasters in North America and we’re ranked as one of the top three parks in North America. We’ve put in Behemoth and Leviathan. I can’t define how long it will take, but guests should be excited (about what’s to come),” he added. So interesting topic of discussion, what could the large redevelopment program be? -

But they still got a coaster. Gurl it's filler and for advertising... They won't tease a new coaster that way they'll put up tweets and hints that dont even lead you to the right answer -

Went to the park around 2 pm today and holy crap... Like holy crap.... 1. Parking was nearly full capacity, 2. fast lanes were full 3. regular lines over flowing well beyond capacity, 4. I'd estimate minimum 30 minute wait times for food/ drinks, 5. you could hardly walk in the park as you can see from pictures below. The season pass processing line was full in August at 2pm.... The Canadian Dollar I think is benefiting the park significantly attendance wise despite the company losing 25% of profits right now due to the dollar. Here's My 6 year plan after the conference Call yesterday; 2015- Infrastructure/ slingshot/ Waterslide (2 new parking booths, waterfalls are all working now and wood fencing replaced around most of the park) 2016- Thrill Ride/ Family attraction, Wifi, mobile app, fast pay & closure of either the movie theater or Minebuster :$ Also the new Transportation hub will be open. 2017- Launched Wing Coaster 2018- Infrastructure 2019- Water Park/ Family and if not Minebuster will either be re-tracked or replaced by now 2020- If Minebuster isn't rennoed in 2019 it will be by this year. Front Gate at 2 pm!!!!! Medieval Faire, like someone could get stabbed and nobody would know!?! -
