  1. I don't know man, KD really needs one though. even after these guys get a new coaster they'll be complaining a year after getting one and start speculating about a b&m invert or something. Actually that's quite rude coming in here and saying that considering no one was complaining nor talking about new coasters till last year when Skyrider was removed, in fact Kings Dominion fans are most known for being the complainers... Evidence points towards us getting a coaster with news articles quoting it and land clearing taking place... So just saying...We also do triple and this year quadruple the attendance the smaller parks including KD do with record attendance this season. The thing is we pay off coaster investments in one year.
  2. dippin dots said splash down in the wave pool, they will hire an extra 3 life guards to be safe
  3. +Cedar point Cedar Point is probably getting nothing except maybe a few new family rides in 2017, unless Cedar Fair is that much of an @$$hole. Do Cedar Fair parks work independently? Out of the 10s of times it's been said, I don't think it ever came to me... Some people think they do, but they don't Matt Ouimet has total control of everything from planning to approving projects.
  4. I hate to say it but they need another luxury hotel at Cedar Point I keep trying to book a weekend there but they are ALWAYS sold out
  5. Who knows maybe it will have a key hole for Splash Works
  6. We just had one and they rebuilt the splash works entrance... they are done with water parks compare ours to others and it's a damn decent water park... Sorry but based on the news sites with quotes this is another big coaster They will never be "done" with splash works. In the past they have made upgrades in back to back years. I know that was under different ownership but it's possible there's more to come soon. And when you say "news sites" are you still referring to last year's article that you've been quoting recently It's a valid source, that talks about a multi year redevelopment project and that it's large in scale and if you look at 2008 and recent years you can expect large project. Thats what was said it came from top park officials so it's a valid source to quote...
  7. Actually it's the perfect space if you look at the land clearing zones its the perfect layout for an out and back coaster.., now the Kings DOminion thread is in another section lol lol jokes
  8. We just had one and they rebuilt the splash works entrance... they are done with water parks compare ours to others and it's a damn decent water park... Sorry but based on the news sites with quotes this is another big coaster there is no proof!only users who hope for a coaster and who are convinced that there will be a coaster. and land clearing... and markers, and a vast area of activity that spans way out of Splash works zone
  9. rain is in the forecast so maybe not, just decide when you get to the park
  10. Beginning, the first weekend or your screwed lol
  11. We just had one and they rebuilt the splash works entrance... they are done with water parks compare ours to others and it's a damn decent water park... Sorry but based on the news sites with quotes this is another big coaster
  12. Based on the land clearing and markings, this would have to be the out and back direction of the coaster, obviously a prediction but markings suggest this to be true. I didn't put elements in cause gurl that would be too difficult someone else can do that lol
  13. Small construction update for 2017 I guess were calling it now.. So blue markings "BH" have appeared next to Skyriders old location on the pathway. More blue markings in the actual plot of land with stakes. (The stakes appear to mark actual water mains). There is 10 orange markers in the forest next to Timberwolf which you will see on the map I post of all the markings is just on top of Skyriders old location... The land clearing near Skyrider which is where we all assume the coaster will head out and back to and from has a straight line of orange markers in it. There is one orange flag near Skyriders plot of land now next to lazy river and one red stake next to lazy river near Skyriders plot of land. NONE of the new thrill rides announced take up this plot of land, and we just had our Splash Works entrance re-done and a new slide complex and splash pad added, so for this being a splash works future update thats very very unlikely and this screams a 2017 coaster. If you think about it they would need to start now as soon as Splash Works closes as they would need to have all the prep/ footer work done in that area before Splash works opening in 2016 as they can't be kicking up dirt around there during it's operating hours. Similar to when the poured the footers for Behemoth in Stunt coasters location the season prior to construction. construction update BH marking on Skyriders path (new as of August 25, 2015) free movie again the crowds are insane this season
  14. To be honest I'm happy to wait for the coaster till 2017 cause that Skyhawk looks amazing! Also look at our thrill ride line up it's the best line up in the Cedar Fair chain!
  15. Um, you don't know if they're getting a coaster in 2017. It could be a waterpark expansion for all we know. dude I'm sorry, I know your expecting a massive coaster at Kings Dominion in 2017 but the news articles and the massive amount of land clearing and orange markers pretty much screams were getting a coaster in 2017. In fact there was so much activity we thought it was 2016. Like they always say don't predict till you see land clearing and other signs of coaster construction and well, we have seen them, infact we have more going on at our park then Cedar Point does for theyre 2016 coaster

  17. You guys just wait and see. You guys will eventually be the chains star child. It's obvious what they are doing and your seeing it in Carowinds. Carowinds doesn't make the chain a lot of money but they are now a star child. slowly in 5 year periods they will move from smaller park to smaller park. Just remember parks like Canada's Wonderland are out of land and are surrounded by highways with no room for growth
  18. lol awe poor Michigans Adventure, don't worry Time Warp will be your coaster soon, love from Canada's Wonderland
  19. Wonderlands cycle is probably short for capacity reasons, I expect your's will be a bit longer. They are much more beautiful looking though just think of that positive
  20. If they change the name they are being to sensitive, Americans have always been way too sensitive
  21. They gotta attract attention somehow. This just won the internet. I applaud you sir!
  22. Are we not calling SkyHawk at Canada's Wonderland a mid-sized thrill ride? I don't know what it'd be called if it is , then so is delierium
  23. well on the Cedar Fair investment chart one thing hasn't been announced, A mid sized thrill ride.
  24. To be honest I like this thread the most cause you guys are the most active, so I bring up other random stuff to so I apologize
  25. maybe two wing coasters, or a hyper for you guys and wing coaster for CW Why does everyone assume that CW is getting a coaster in 2017? They are planning a hotel resort I thought. Though Phillips was mum on any details about what will be happening next, he said there were “certainly” concepts in mind for a new attraction. The difficult decision to close SkyRider was due in part to the aging coaster’s location. The ride sits on 5,100 square metres of prime land between the water park and Wonder Mountain, and the park’s executives decided the spot would be a perfect place for their next big attraction. Phillips was tight-lipped about what that attraction might be or how long it will take to complete. “All I can tell you is it’s a very large construction project,” he said. “If you look at our history, over the last five to seven years, I think guests know it will be something exciting.” That is why we assume a coaster is coming in 2017, however I agree I feel like you guys are getting one too
