  1. The first coaster I ever rode was The Big Dipper at Spring Lake in OKC. Both the coaster and the park are long since defunct.
  2. Well, bad news already. There doesn't appear to be any LED light fixtures like on Riddler Revenge at SFOT. I suppose they could add them later. I can tell you that this is easily the best flat ride I've ever been on. Your going to love it!!!!
  3. ^We'll get a "first of its kind" Ring the Bell game. It'll be the tallest one ever built and feature a farting noise for anyone who fails to get the little weight at least three quarters of the way up.
  4. Plenty of room. Study the pictures and video from the Topping Off Event. There's a couple of different types of rides and or attractions that could fit there. There is plenty of room around inside the park . They could put a b&m flying coaster or wing coaster, Larson superloop, intamin launched coaster like kingda ka and top thrill dragster, or a flat like hurricane force five at six flags fiesta texas. I would be shocked if we got an Intamin Launched Coaster. But if we did, I would definitely prefer something like Maverick over a Kingda Ka clone.
  5. That has to be the most disturbing thing I've seen yet! Count me out on Chinese knockoff rides!
  6. And how exactly do Texas Giant and Rattler both rate RMC conversions when The Boss does not.
  7. It's interesting to note that SFOT and SFFT were the first two parks to recieve the RMC conversions. You'd think that if anything it would be SFMM and SFGADV first on the list. I believe SFM also got RMC Medusa before SFMM got Twisted Colossus. Makes no sense. And now it looks as if SFSTL won't be getting any RMC goodness at all. This is a truly sad state of affairs.
  8. ^Good to see they've begun construction on the SFGAm Joker. The one here at SFOT has already been completed.
  9. ^Now were talkin! A DC themed restaurant would be great! I'll have the Batman burger please, no wait, make that the Superman Double Hero burger! My girlfriend here will have the Wonder Woman chicken strips. Oh, and we'll both have the Joker's Own Chocolate Villain Shake for desert!
  10. ^What use could they possibly have for a derelict old building, except possibly for storage. I still think it's an eyesore and it should be gotten rid of. That land should be cleared and re-themed to Gotham. Additional flat rides and/or gift shops or possibly even a new eatery could be placed there. Joker's Burger Shack anyone?
  11. ^ Yes, in fact you can see the old strip mall directly behind it in the video. Supposedly, they are going to demolish the strip mall at some point to make room for expansion.
  12. Here it is!!! The Joker topping off ceremony!!! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  13. ^Yeah! The mayor of Arlington personally signed the last piece of track before it went up. I guess that's what they were waiting for. They had a big ceremony and everything.
  14. ^Sounds great!!!! I don't think they have anything like that on the one at SFGAdv.
  15. If I were a betting man I would bet opening day or shortly thereafter.
  16. Considering SFNE and SFGAm haven't even begun construction on theirs yet, I would say SFOT may be planning to open theirs a tad sooner than either of those two parks. It doesn't make a lot of sense to have a completed ride sitting around collecting dust for about 4 months. If indeed that is the plan.
  17. This is the fastest I've ever seen SFOT build a new ride. It should be just about ready for opening day.
  18. Yeah, I don't think they'd complete the ride and then let it sit around for three months collecting dust. But I can't help but wonder why they decided not to wait for Memorial Day. It seems that the other two parks (SFNE and SFGAm) that are receiving these rides haven't even begun construction yet except for footers.
  19. ^Thanks for the update! I suppose they still have to complete the queue and loading station. But that shouldn't take long.
  20. If you think the color scheme is "awful", then "Loco" is an appropriate name.
  21. Any further updates on Joker's progress? It must be just about complete by now.
  22. I like the Joker's location at SFOT much better than at SFNE. I also like the Gotham City section at SFOT much better as well. Once the planned expansion over the next several years is complete, the Gotham City section at SFOT will be the best at any SF park. That being said, I think Joker will fit in well here at SFNE next to Batman. And, well, at least we're getting new coasters.
  23. Personally, I think it fits in well with the Riddler and Catwoman in the Gotham City section. Now we have Batman, Mr.Freeze, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Catwoman and Joker. The whole thing makes perfect sense. Remember when we all thought we were going to get a Larson Loop themed for the Joker? Well, this is much better. IMHO
