  1. There's still a fair amount of land right next to Joker in the old strip mall. The maintenance buildings are behind Titan and NTAG but I've noticed there seems to be a narrow strip of land in between. Maybe they could squeeze something in there.
  2. I agree that Titan will likely stay put for the foreseeable future. However, that being said, SF could always relocate Titan to SFSTL, which is in desperate need of a Hyper. Then they could use the land to build a T-Rex Giga! I know I'm dreaming, but it sure is a nice dream!
  3. I agree! All three Joker rides have long since been completed and are currently in their testing phase! Meanwhile this Starflyer continues to sit in pieces with no clear progress being made! I know Starflyer's can be put up in relatively short order, but this thing should not still be sitting around disassembled at this late date!
  4. ^ It was built by Giovinola, a former sub contracter to B&M. Titan and it's sister coaster Goliath at SFMM are generally considered the two weakest Hypers currently existing. Almost anything built by B&M is considered to be better. And anything built by Intamin pretty much blows Titan/Goliath out of the water!
  5. ^ Comparing Titan and MF isn't really fair. Had Intamin built Titan it would be a vastly superior ride. Giovinola, try as they might, were never as good as B&M. And they sure as hell weren't as good as Intamin! They went out of business shortly after building Goliath and Titan at SFMM and SFOT, respectively.
  6. Titan was built in 2002, at a time when Hypers were a relatively new thing. The design is by Giovinola, a former sub contracter to B&M. It is clearly inferior to most B&M/Intamin Hypers. The rumor about it's possible removal has been going around on Texas Thrillseekers for awhile now.
  7. How much progress have they made on the new WWLOT Starflyer? It should be just about done by now!
  8. ^ It's been having chain lift troubles. Hopefully they have it fixed by now.
  9. Anyone know how long Titan is expected to be down? I've also been hearing rumors that Titan might eventually be removed! Apparently, it costs the park a lot of money to maintain.
  10. This looks sooooo familiar Yep. It's the same sign they put on the one at sfot. The Joker at SFOT has two signs! One facing each direction!
  11. Spinsanity looks great! You guys will be whirling and hurling in no time!
  12. Thanks for those great pics!!! Looks like testing is coming along nicely!!!
  13. Considering the SFOT Joker has already begun testing, I'd say the SFNE version is a little behind.
  14. Spinsanity is the 40 seat model, Hurricane Force 5 is a 24 seat model. Yep! Looks like SFSTL decided to spend the big bucks!! You guys are getting the Zamperla Disk'o: Championship Edition!!!
  15. Spinsanity looks to be a larger model Disk'o than Hurricane Force 5 at SFFT! I think you guys got the deluxe model!
  16. ^I hope so! The light show on Riddler is so spectacular that people will come into the Gotham section and stay for hours just to watch it!
  17. SFOT has pretty much always done this. I suppose it gives them time to finish the theming, landscaping ect. As well as test the ride. It could also be a maketing gimmick to get people to come back to the park once the new ride opens. Not all parks do this, of course. SFSTL will likely open Spinsanity sometime in May.
  18. Fireball opened to the public on May 7, 2016. Season Pass holder preview was on May 1.
  19. Having seen the SFOT Joker up close, I can say the colors should fit well in the Gotham section along side Riddler and Catwoman. Given the color scheme in that area, Joker should fit right in!
  20. I find it interesting that both SFA and SFDK are getting rides named "Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth", but they aren't the same. SFA is getting a FunTime Starflyer, while SFDK is getting a Zamperla Giant Discovery.
  21. ^Your opinion is popular with me as I agree with it! Here at SFOT, our Joker looks great and fits so well in our Gotham section!
