The SFOT Oil Derrick is still in use. Although it closes frequently due to high winds.

That appears to be stuck on the lift hill. It's not as bad as what happened on Saturday. Usually this type of thing can be corrected fairly quickly.

When was the train stuck on the magnetic fins?? In the photos when they were removing riders the train just appeared to be valleyed. Doesn't sound like it was magnetic fin related. It might not have been. Most likely the high winds caused it to valley. They used a crane to pull it up to the top of the hill and then released it. But it valleyed again, just not enough inertia to make it over the raven drop. I saw the whole thing today. At first, it looked to me like it was being held by the magnetic fins. But I could've been wrong.

Latest word is that Joker will be closed for the rest of the day. They were able to get the train unstuck from the magnetic fins, but now it's valleyed. They still haven't figured a way to get the train to come all the way down.

Not very. The seats are actually quite small. I've seen many larger guests try to squeeze themselves into the seats on Texas Skyscreamer to no avail. how are they compared to say, the flying carousel? Flying carousel?

I've just had my 7th ride on the Joker!!! WOW!!! What a ride!!! Great outta control feel!! I love it!!! I would like to say that Joker's addition to an already amazing Gotham City section gives SFOT what is possibly the best Gotham City in the SF chain!!! Nice!! TV screens in the queue!! Having ridden both maXair at CP and Riddler Revenge at SFOT, I can say that the Zamperla models are more comfy. The seats and restraints are less cumbersome. The Zamperla Giant Discovery models rotate both directions while swinging whereas the Huss models only rotate one direction, albeit faster. My firm opinion is that the Zamperla models are a better overall experience. But that's just me.

That's interesting. Looks like you guys are about a week behind us here at SFOT. Our Joker is scheduled to have it's VIP day next Wednesday, May 17th. With Gold Pass holder and Season Pass holder previews on Thurs, May 18th and Fri, May 19th, respectively. The ride then opens to the public on Sat May 20th.

Have they announced a VIP day, season pass prevew day and opening day yet?

^Last year's Riddler/Catwoman VIP prevew was on a Wednesday also. Crowds were light all day and there weren't that many VIP's so both rides were walk-on's the whole day.
