The 2163 is in meters, indicating 7096 FT. The thermometer reads 103°, this could only mean one thing- drop angle! The man in the suit I'm not sure about. Edit: I should have realized this. The 2163 is Husain Bolts bib number from the 08 Olympics. The man in the suit is Robert Wadlow. Tallest and fastest Dive Coaster.

Yeah, the merger is seeing some early setbacks. Obviously, there will be some growing pains and adjustments will have to be made to the chain to cut costs. But, I think in time this new merger will iron out it's problems and get back on track. PS: I shudder to think what the new SFOT Giga-Dive is probably costing. But, so far so good, construction appears to be on schedule.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. I ,for one, do hope that something big will come SFSTL's way. If S:ROS is to be relocated then hopefully it will come to this park.

If they do decide to relocate S:ROS then I would definitely want to see it go to SFSTL. The park is in desperate need of a major new attraction, even if it's relocated from another park.

The problem is that CF isn't in the habit of relocating rides. Relocating S:ROS would be cost prohibitive. Ride deconstruction alone would cost millions. Plus the cost of clearing the land at SFSTL, and then ride transportation and reconstruction costs. It would make more sense from a financial perspective to simply build a new coaster.

There's no delay. Construction appears to be on schedule. The official announcement should be late August or early September.

I don't think CF is big into the idea of relocating rides anyway. If SFSTL gets a another coaster it will definitely be something new, just not extravagant like a hyper or giga.

Firebird is a solid coaster and would make a fine addition to the park.

I definitely think the park will receive some type of investment over the next couple of years. It's just a matter of what form that investment will take. And yes, there could definitely be a new coaster coming.

I would say that 2027 is a strong possibility for SFSTL to finally receive a major investment from the new owners. So, what type of new attraction might be coming? Let's look at the possibilities. First off.... Any type of Giga coaster would be highly unlikely. Gigas are rarely built anymore. The fact that Over Texas is getting one still seems like a dream, even though construction crews are hard at work building it as I type this. What's more, I don't see SFSTL recieving anything close to the $30 million plus investment needed to build such a coaster. A hyper coaster? This would be a long shot for similar reasons, but WOULD be in the realm of possibility. RMC Boss? I consider this a stronger possibility than the first two. A smaller Dive Coaster such as Dr Diabolical or Iron Menace could easily fit into this park. It would also be budget friendly. Something from Vekoma, Premier or S&S could also find its way into the park. It largely depends on how much money CF is willing to invest. Telltale signs to look for going into next year are as follows...... Permanent ride closures. Some buildings and or restaurants could also be closed and removed. Construction fences would soon follow. These would be accompanied by signs reading "We're Building Excitement For 2027" or some such. This is all based on what happened at Six Flags Over Texas when we found out we were getting a new "Record Breaking Dive Coaster". Anyway, the next couple of years should be pretty exciting for SFSTL.

Here at Six Flags Over Texas the closure of La Vibora and El Diablo was announced rather abruptly. Not long after it was announced that a "Record Breaking Dive Coaster" was coming. Since the merger SF doesn't seem to beat around the bush much. My guess would be that if SF is planning something in this area it would be pretty obvious.

Unbelievable! What a mess! Having the ride completed and ready to go and now having to delay it until next year because of poor engineering. Apparently something to do with the trains on DK at BGW. This fiasco will leave a scar!

Staging area is getting pretty full! Pics don't do the track pieces justice! You have to see it in person to get the full impact of just how big this coaster is going to be!

The problem here is that no track pieces have arrived for the alleged "Record Breaking Launch Coaster", nor has any installation work been done. Construction crews have not even arrived to begin the work of installing this supposedly large scale ride. Compare that to the rapidly progressing work on the new Giga-Dive at Six Flags Over Texas. Track pieces and supports are arriving by the truck load, almost every day. Crews are hard at work digging the holes and placing the first footers for this massive coaster. A coaster on the scale of what is supposedly planned to replace KA would need nearly a year of construction work to complete.

Unfortunately for prozach626, the coaster is confirmed at 309 FT.
