  1. Today is the first day of Fright Fest!!!! Park will be open from 10:30am to 12:00am. I'll be there!!!
  2. I'll be at SFOT on 9/24/2016 for the first day of Fright Fest!
  3. ^Hard to say. They're sure haulling ass though.
  4. ^ Well, SFOT has already brought in the Howell Crane and begun clearing the area for our S&S Free Fly. And the holes for the footers have already been dug! I would assume SFGA would be planning to open their S&S Joker at about the same time as SFOT. Sometime during the spring. To be fair, SFOT doesn't close until January, and then only for about a month. This is due to Holiday in the Park lasting that long, followed not long after by Spring Breakout.
  5. ^That probably means that CP management has changed it's mind about an RMC overhaul of MS. Instead they're going to turn the area into a petting zoo!
  6. I would ride Zero Gravity Gulch in a heartbeat!!! Stopping mid-ride for food is the clencher for me!!!!
  7. ^ Good! During my past trips to CP, it was easy to tell that everything from ride operations to staff to food and restaurant quality to park cleanliness was all superior to SF parks. Let's hope they get the message.
  8. Nice pics!!! Good to see they're getting a move on. To be fair, an S&S Free Fly shouldn't take that long to construct.
  9. They could change the name Mean Streak entirely, or just follow SFOT's lead and call it "The New Mean Streak".
  10. I assume you guys are getting Rage of the Gargoyles VR on Ninja for Fright Fest. We're getting it on Shockwave here at SFOT. Chadster tried it out this morning and said it was great! Much better than the Alien Invasion VR concept.
  11. Anyone planning to buy the $25 Fright Pass this year? I, for one, definitely will be. Single admission to haunted attractions is around $8 each. I have no intention of paying that.
  12. This is the first time that SFFT has made their haunted attractions free to all paid guests. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it works out for them. But I'm not opposed to this idea. Or at least lowering the admission prices. Right now at SFOT, single admission for haunted houses is $8 each. Fright Passes, I'm told, are only available to season pass holders. Let's see.... That's 5 haunted attractions at $8 each. By my calculations that's $40 for one admission to each attraction! A family of 4 with teenage kids would have to pay a whopping $160!!! I'm not sure if SFOT is offering all day haunted attractions passes to guests with single day admission tickets. I do remember seeing guests, last year, going into haunted attractions on those $8 single tickets. But I'll be at the park on Saturday for the first day of Fright Fest. I'll try and find out.
  13. They have something called a slasher pass. It gets you into all of the attractions for that night. I cant remember the exact cost but it is somewhere in the $30 range I think. You can also buy individual tickets if you want to. My suggestion is don't waste your time in BlackOut, previously voided vision and total darkness before that. It's just not worth the time. That's interesting. Here at SFOT we have the Fright Pass which costs $25. It's good for the entire run of Fright Fest, Sept 24 thru Nov 1st. At SFFT all haunted attractions are free with paid admission. I hope it's something they start doing at all SF parks.
  14. ^ If the ride were an RMC woodie like Outlaw Run, it could still work.
  15. Soooooo..... Anyone planning to attend Fright Fest this year?
  16. ^ Sorry to disagree, but I rode JRS a couple of weeks ago. It's still pretty rough and almost no one was riding it. Most trains were being dispatched less than half full. I'm of the opinion that JRS' time is up. It should be removed and replaced with something better. An RMC woodie along the lines of Outlaw Run would be awesome.
  17. ^^^ That's the best Titan video I've seen yet!
  18. ^Yeah, that's pretty much what it is. Unfortunately, Mike's cell phone was low on memory when he shot this. But he still got some great video of that light package.
  19. For anyone interested in seeing the Catwoman Whip at night. This video was shot by my friend Mike Burden. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  20. ^^ Shucks! I was hoping for a Larson Loop.
  21. On the drink issue, I wonder why SFOT only has one Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Other parks I've been to have had many of these machines. SFFT has several.
