  1. ^I agree about the Vekoma track! It's dog ugly when compaired with Intamin and B&M track.
  2. I can't wait to try this baby out!! Hey, at least it's something new! And I love the location they've chosen for this ride!!
  3. FWIW, the survey is chain-wide. All SF parks goers got asked the same question about a new coaster next year.
  4. Well, it kicked my butt!! That's for sure!!
  5. Do yourself a favor and refrain from riding it right after you've eaten! Catwoman Whip is to this day the only ride I've ever gotten sick on! After numerous rides I managed to get used to the high G-forces! But the first time I rode it the thing damned near killed me!
  6. Catwoman Whip is a Zamperla Endeavor 48 and is, in fact, the first of it's kind. It is, essentially, Zamperla's tribute to the old Enterprise style rides. However, it produces more vomit than any ride I've ever seen! And I'm not exaggerating!
  7. If you want to experience a REAL barf machine, come down to SFOT and ride Catwoman Whip! That thing must've set a park record for most puking incidents in a single day! Right after it opened, people were barfing on nearly every ride cycle! Riddler had a few too, but nothing compaired to Catwoman!
  8. I have a silly question. Is Highland Fling the relocated Spinnaker from SFOT? I know Spinnaker was removed in the mid 90's to make room for Runaway Mountain. It was relocated to SFFT where it operated as Wagon Wheel. However, SFFT no longer has the ride. So, I was wondering if it might've been sent to SFSTL.
  9. I have never known Batman at SFOT to run anything less two trains, even on slow days. As for Goliath being down for so long, I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this happen on Titan. Although SFOT isn't a year round park, it's off season is relatively short.
  10. I can't help but wonder if the Joker will have any sort of lighting package like Riddler and Catwoman. It's close proximity to I-30 would mean the lights would be seen by a great many passers-by. The light's on Riddler are easily visible from a great distance at night.
  11. I don't see that happening, but if they had to replace Excalibur I wouldn't mind if they "upgraded" it with something like Maxair. The most likely upgrade would be a Zamperla Giant Discovery. MaXair at CP is a Huss Giant Frisbee.
  12. I don't think they would install rusty parts. It looks more like some sort of grease to me.
  13. Thanks for the pics!!! Wow!! Those cars have seriously complicated mechanisms!
  14. ^Those are definitely LED's on the side of that pendulum! But there doesn't seem to be as many of them as there are on the one at SFOT. There also doesn't appear to be any LED's on the support legs.
  15. At the park now! Here are some pics I took of the Joker! Seen from behind Catwoman In this pic you can just make out the Joker trains in the distance Seen here behind Riddler The wooden fence makes it hard to see all the construction equipment on the other side Joker is close to it's testing phase
  16. Only a few more hours to go. The 2017 season begins tomorrow!
  17. That's good to see! It no longer looks like purple and green plumbing fixtures!
  18. ^If they don't open Joker until July, there will be tons of backlash! The one at SFOT is about to enter it's testing phase, while the one at SFGAm is just about complete. Both are expected to open in late spring. SFNE would catch all kinds of crap if they delayed until July!
  19. One more day until the start of the 2017 season! I will be there on Saturday, I'm looking forward to trying out the Galactic Attack VR on Shockwave! It looks like it could be the best VR experience yet!
  20. He is talking about when the park opens for the 2017 season not about the joker opening ceremony. Lol. Yes I know what he was talking about. I was just wondering if the weather was having any adverse affect on Joker's completion. Nope. Construction seems to be right on schedule. They'll definitely meet their projected opening date of "whenever the f*ck they feel like opening it". I presume that would be around late May, probably Memorial Day or thereabouts
  21. He is talking about when the park opens for the 2017 season not about the joker opening ceremony. Lol. Yes I know what he was talking about. I was just wondering if the weather was having any adverse affect on Joker's completion.
  22. ^Well, there has been quite a bit of snow. I wonder if this will affect Joker's completion and possible opening dates.
  23. All together I've ridden about 40 or so B&M's. Including all the BTR clones, SUF's, stand-up's, hyper's and floorless's at nearly every major park in the US.
  24. ^That's interesting. The one at SFOT already had LED's on it's legs and center arm when it first arrived at the park. Of course, lighting packages like that are expensive . It's possible that SFDK decided not to spend the extra money for the lights. Here's a pic of the lights on Riddler at SFOT to give an idea of what I'm talking about.
