  1. I haven't ridden any yet simply because the Southeast is neglected when it comes to RMC's. Hopefully, I'll get out to Dollywood next year to ride their RMC since SFOG isn't biting the bullet first. There's the chance of going to SFMM in December as well, so TC may end up being my first RMC.
  2. Seems like Screamscape is thinking we could be in line for another dark ride next year. Any thoughts on that? I was hoping we could have gotten RMC Cyclone or another coaster in general to compete with Fury 325 and Dollywood's RMC.
  3. What are the odds SFMM gets a Larson Loop for next year and claims it as the 20th coaster?
  4. From what I am seeing, Harley Quinn replaced the remote controlled monster trucks and is located in Mindbender's turn into the brakes while Joker is located at the top of the hill across from Crime Wave, correct? Also, please let RMC Cyclone be the 2017 50th Anniversary project. I've heard rumors of Hurricane Harbor getting a massive expansion for 2016, so we may not get much if anything next year on the dry side.
  5. I'm glad SFMM decided to start construction at a reasonable time rather than right about now like they did the past few rides.
  6. I'd gladly ride those slides with only my clothes on. Looks like a great addition to a water park that needs it!
  7. Gotta love being rick rolled early in the morning.
  8. That is one beautiful coaster! Seems like the park will certainly have one hell of a ride!
  9. I'd say Mind Bender has the fastest crew. DDD is good simply because it's still the baby of the park. Goliath is meh sometimes but can get a lot of people out. Everyone else is slow due to teenagers.
  10. Wicy sounds like a Chinese knock off of Mickey Mouse.
  11. Even if I've never been to Knoebel's, I'd say I'm more interested in riding Phoenix. It looks to be a spectacular wooden coaster and a sure classic.
  12. Honestly, I feel as though anyone could run the park better than CNL. From what I've seen, the park is getting the bare minimum just to break even and not even make huge profits.
  13. I'd certainly ride it and probably have to go to the hospital right after as a ride like that would certainly not be really man friendly.
  14. Very intriguing flat rides that I've heard about but have never ridden. I wish more would pop up. I'd love to get at least one ride in just to experience it.
  15. Seems like I need to plan an "East Coast"er trip this summer to experience the best this side of the US has to offer.
  16. I believe interviews are right pass the newer parking lot? At six flags itself.. There is a sign when you pass the newer parking lot that says employment office and interviews I didn't have much time to look due to how much traffic there was and needing to get to the interview.
  17. Well, I tried to go to my interview yesterday, but due to insane traffic and not even knowing where to really go (I entered the address and it took me to SFOG itself) even with directions on the email, I was unable to get to the right place. I-20 is absolutely terrible and so is I-285 in terms of traffic and road conditions with potholes everywhere. I'm hoping to be able to reschedule my interview for a weekend instead of later at night.
  18. I have an interview on Thursday with the park for a potential job as a ride op! As much as we all hate what Six Flags does, I will never turn down an offer to spend weekends there running the rides I love.
  19. Anyone else happy that they're investing into Gotham City this year? I mean, we do get the Super Loop and Namtab, but I do like that Six Flags also invested into a Tilt-a-Whirl into the park as well. That's nice of them to give the park a little something extra instead of just the Super Loop. I still miss Wheelie, but at least the people at Fun Spot areally enjoying it.
  20. I was born in 1996. We have: 1. Montu - BGT 2. Mantis/Rougarou - CP 3. Flight of Fear - KD/KI I've only been on the first two and obviously Rougarou as Mantis.
  21. ^ True, but why not fill the niche RT left instead of one that has already been filled by the B&M's? I would imagine that's in the minds of Six Flags more than the potential for another intense coaster which can always happen years from now. Let RMC be for another year, so they can work with another Six Flags park, and perhaps you'll see the next El Toro in a few years. If you're already tired of it, I'd gladly switch you Ninja at SFOG for it.
  22. I kind of laugh at the complaints about not having a new coaster in 5 years. From what I've seen, this park has a solid coaster line up, and the only additions I could see truly making this park better would be several more flats, and perhaps a smallish wooden coaster to ease kids onto the larger rides. I think a RMC is the last coaster they truly need. You have El Toro, arguably the best wooden coaster ever. Why would you want an RMC which might still not hold a flame to Toro? Think about it. It's one thing to have a small wooden coaster and a larger Intamin/RMC, but it's another thing when both of your woodies are large and intimidating.
  23. I think it was the first hill and the turnaround that got topper track. That is correct. The first two drops have been topper tracked for, I believe, the last two seasons now. Drops 3 and 4 simply got new wood for the 2014 season. The net result was a very improved GA Cyclone in 2014 that was actually pretty enjoyable, especially during the first half of the ride. Personally, I would prefer to see SFOG maintain GA Cyclone, rather than giving it the Iron Horse treatment, and to their credit, they’ve done a pretty good job of that the last couple of seasons. That said, SF hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down with the conversions and currently the southeast is still lacking an RMC. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see them go that route. As added evidence for something big like an RMC Cyclone conversion, 2016 nicely coincides with five years since our last coaster addition and the year before the park’s 50th anniversary in 2017. I understand your sentiment that GASM is rather uninteresting by modern standards, but it was designed in a completely different era with completely different expectations. As it stands, I don’t think the layout affords enough variety to make an interesting RMC conversion either. Consequently, I would assume that it will continue serving the park best as a classic ride and perhaps a first “big” ride for the kids. As an aside though, I did have the thought that with the addition of HH last year, I’m sure there were also necessary infrastructure upgrades to the back of the park. Perhaps those presumed upgrades to things like water and electrical systems could play into the addition of a launched coaster in the future. Sort of like how Holiday World quietly added a power substation for Thunderbird across the street well before we were aware of what was coming. Just a thought. I think a launch coaster would round out the park's coaster selection nicely. I know we had Viper where Superman is now, but I think a large launched coaster by Premier somewhere would be nice. Either that or remove Ninja for a 4D Free Spin over the lake.
