  1. For non coasters, Monster Mansion and Acrophobia are must rides as well as Thunder River if you're into water rides. If you love old classic rides, the carousel is also a great attraction. I'll say it before coasterbill, ride the sky ride to avoid walking the hilly terrain as much as possible.
  2. I've never heard of them, and too bad it wasn't them that got evicted.
  3. Anyone else watch this show and have any predictions on who will get evicted tonight?
  4. Giovanola was a the main track fabricator and subcontractor for those guys for a long time before going under. At the last stages of this companies life they built 3 rides, anaconda , Titan and Goliath. Case closed. Okay, so that explains why Giovanola track looks like B&M. They were already making the track so that's what they used. But that doesn't explain why the track design didn't stay with Intamin. It was because Intamin never owned the track design. The people behind B&M worked for Giovanola actually, so they kept the track design not Intamin. Intamin only got the track design when they built their stand ups and Flashback, but that was when Giovanola was the subcontractor.
  5. Actually, Taron isn't opened yet, so no one can have any bragging rights about riding it.
  6. We just need to wait for more teasers as the summer comes along. That will determine if it's the dark ride, 4D coaster, or another ride altogether.
  7. "We may or may not be adding a dark ride that is currently at 4 other Six Flags parks.....and we uhhh....we added Joker, rethemed Canyon Blaster, and fixed Ninja, I mean Blue Hawk! Go Big! Go Six Flags!"
  8. That's obviously photoshopped. I don't think so. It looks legit to me. Literal By the way, the one thing (besides the early start on land prep) that makes me think a large coaster addition is actually possible, is that Carowinds just added a dynamic, marquee coaster in Fury. Now, if you're from the area, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be SFOG's biggest competition on the market? Six Flags nay be feeling the heat to respond, and maybe a B&M Wing Coaster or RMC Goliath type coaster is what they feel would snag some of the attention back. Just a thought... Dollywood is also 4 hours from the park, and many people from Atlanta go to Dollywood as well, and they have opened 3 new coasters, including a record breaking RMC, in the span that SFOG opened DDD
  9. Honestly, they can put in the dark ride and retheme the entire area as Metropolis. It makes sense to do so with Superman right there. The Bumper cars and surrounding area
  10. If it is the bumper cars, I can't really see what could go there comfortably in its place outside of a flat ride. I don't remember there being a disco ball, but I'm guessing it's the "drive over" part that is the real hint here, but who knows. This is just more confusing.
  11. I really can't see Monster Mansion closing without giving it a proper send off if at all. The ride is one of the original attractions and seems to have a long wait all day let alone it being one of the few true dark rides the chain owns. The fact that they've renovated it several times now tells me that they want to keep it around for as long as possible.
  12. And it really shouldn't be a question of it closing or not. It's a great intermediate coaster between the mine train/woodies and the B&M's/Blue Hawk for those who are bored of the former but aren't quite brave enough for the latter.
  13. If I've learned anything from theme parks, Grona Lund especially, it's that if a park wants something desperately, they'll make it fit.
  14. You know that would also affect yourself. So you want to deactivate your account next month? Who said he'd be voted off?
  15. I can't see it being Monster Mansion simply because not only did it open with the park, but it also just got a renovation a few years ago. I feel like it it was that or one of the original rides, the park would have said "a ride that opened with the park." The fact that they mentioned 30+ years specifically makes me think it is Splashwater Falls simply because the other two water rides are a lot more popular, and Splashwater Falls sits on prime real estate, but that's just my opinion. If Mind Bender is the one they're talking about, I'm sure the backlash would be even greater than when Whizzer at Great America was going to be removed.
  16. ^ Well, they spent money to buy new trains and track for Ninja, so it's not outside the realm of possibility that Scorcher may get the conversion. Honestly, I would only want the conversion, so that the capacity of the ride would increase, and the line moves faster as a result.
  17. This is certainly a case of "believe it when the pictures of actual track on property start coming in."
  18. I thought it has been reported multiple times that the old Batman track has been stored improperly for far too long, and that it would cost nearly the same amount as a new coaster to make it usable again, so why would the park spend roughly the same amount of money to fix a rough stand up when it could buy a brand new coaster? I mean, if they really wanted to use the old Batman coaster, they probably would have by now.
  19. Hacking using trainers if on regular RCT2 or using zero clearances in ORCT2 to do it.
  20. I feel like this thread is just Darienlaker going through the same rides over and over again and at least one person replying before he does again.
  21. When I search "#itllneveropen" on this site, I get nearly 80 posts about the ride. Clearly, Guy is right and has brought out the truth about Lightning Rod. Now I just need a puppy from Dolly, so I can bring it to the world's largest bonfire. #itllneveropen
  22. For those wondering, the park revealed on their YouTube that Blue Hawk will not be open until June 2nd.
  23. I think Gwazi would benefit from someone accidentally pouring gasoline and a lit match onto Gwazi. When I said accidentally, I meant deliberately.
