  1. HAHAHAHHAHA.... my friends and i call the volare at pcw "Womb Raider" because it's so painful!
  2. Horrendous lines!! Seriously, this park had huge attendance, be prepared to wait well over an hour for half of the coasters and a good 45+ minutes for the top-notch flats. Do not miss Shockwave, the park's Top Scan. The Jump squared and the Mondial Pendulum are pretty sweet too... no lo-q nope... i was there at the end of july last year and the longest line i waited in was 15 minutes! and that was for scooby doo's haunted mansion! try to go on a weekday... and on a rainy day if possible! that's what did it for us! we went on a tuesday and it was raining on and off all day 8)
  3. oh yeah... you could even go to sfdl after 5 and not be disappointed... there is very little to do there unless you like water parks and vekoma clones. superman is the only good coaster there...
  4. GO TO MARTIN'S FANTASY ISLAND AND RIDE THE SILVER COMET. go after 5 pm, it's cheaper that way. you can go on your way from sfdl to pcw or vice versa. i looove the silver comet!!! i think it is very under-rated... well not really, just nobody goes on it because they've never heard of Martin's Fantasy Island! I live half a mile away from it and worked as a ride op there for two years. It's very smooth and intense. There is no place to catch your breath until you hit the brake run! When are you going... maybe i'll runinto you at one of the parks!
  5. "dangerous" by depeche mode
  6. waterviper, I PLAY BASS TOO! for 12 years. and guitar. (and pretty much everything else, I'm a music teacher)
  7. I really like your coaster. good job! I just have a couple suggestions. The supports kind of remind me of suspended coaster more than flying coaster. Maybe you could try making them more like an A on the lift hill: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1977.htm?picture=8 and have the supports, instead of coming straight down, have two segments: one that goes straight down, and one that goes off to an angle, like an A leaning over: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1977.htm?picture=3 The way they are just kind of remind me of a suspended coaster. http://www.rcdb.com/ig65.htm?picture=9 These are just suggestions! Kudos for doing it all yourself... I know I couldn't! Good job! 8)
  8. oh yeah.... is the Drachen Fire station still standing???? cuz I'd like to see that and imagine what it looked like with the crazy thing standing there
  9. Thanks everybody!! I'll be sure to head to hypersonic first when at pkd... I won't be devastated if i can't ride italian job, drop zone, or scooby doo, as Paramount Canada's Wonderland has all three and I've already ridden them. although i almost love drop towers more than i love coasters  Whoever said the thing about people not being able to find grizzly... that's so funny because back in 1998 I visited the park for 4 hours during a busy trip and managed to find FOF (which I loved), Anaconda (which was ok), Hurler (which was boring), and Grizzly (which was ok)! I couldn't find avalanche to save my life though... lol. (imagines self on RCT... "I can't find Avalanche!") I did get to watch Volcano being built which was cool. and woohoo bgw! i get to ride the ride fabio got hit in the face with a bird on... darkastle i could probably take or leave, but i will try to find it. Yay! I'm going in june after school lets out btw... and probably on a weekday. After school lets out because both me and the friend I'm visiting are teachers!
  10. http://www.rcdb.com/ig185.htm?picture=5 I like the messed up thingy around the helix of dragon mountain... i heard it was supposed to be a volcano or something related to the theming.
  11. Hi guys, I'm going to BGW next year and I know I won't have any trouble hitting all the coasters cause there are only four. However, I was wondering if there are any rides/attractions I should go out of my way to check out? I've never been there, but I am very excited to go because I've heard how beautiful it is there. And I am excited to ride Alpengeist! I am also going to PKD on that same trip. I have been to PKD before but only got to ride Anaconda, Grizzly, Hurler, and FoF. I will be spending a whole day there, so I will hopefully be able to ride Avalanche (never been on a bobsled before!), Volcano, and Hypersonic. Do Volcano and Hypersonic have long lines usually? Which should I make a beeline to at the beginning of the day? Any more tips for PKD? Thanks in advance, Nicole
  12. it's snow-o-rama here... yay buffalo
  13. yay! i'll be in nyc in two weeks! i wanted to go look at cyclone too.. but i don't think my friends will want to hehe.
  14. these are the only amusement parks i've been to paramount canada's wonderland cedar point paramount king's dominion canobie lake park martin's fantasy island six flags darien lake i've also been to epcot and magic kingdom but that was like 15 years ago and I don't remember much...lol and i went to crystal beach but then it closed when i was 5 or something
  15. your parents are so cute!!
  16. too bad you can't re-create the Parque Espana ESCALATOR RIDEEEEEE on rct.
  17. Make mine: I Love Diabetics!
  18. If that was true, I think I would die. I've been dying to ride it since i saw it on a coaster show when i was like 10. I know I'm hyping it up to myself over nothing, but look below for my coaster track record! 8) Nicole "I don't get out to many amusement parks, because very few of my friends like them!" T
  19. Great Escape is about five hours away from SFDL, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, SFDL has a boomerang and an SLC... and PCW, which is less than two hours away, also has a boomerang and an SLC...PCW got both first. Yay Six Flags!
  20. i rode FOF in 1998 at PKD... and loved it. I used my SLC-riding method of pressing my head against one side of the restraint the whole ride, and emerged unscathed. I also got to watch Volcano under construction that day. I wish I could find those photos I took of it. It was a pretty cool experience; the only other time I've seen a coaster under construction was Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island, which I can see from my window. I also saw a piece of B&M track on a truck heading up the I-90 a couple years ago. It was destined to be Vampire at LaRonde, judging by the colour scheme and the fact that no park in NY has a B&M. Wow I've gone off on a tangent. Anyway, I probably would have loved DF! Nicole "I ain't 'fraid of no horsecollar" T.

  24. i can't stand waiting for a new episode! this is my favorite show on tv right now... the only one i will go out of my way to watch
  25. OMG NO... one of you guys can hook up with me and we'll ride coasters all day and do the other thing all night! I just have to find a guy that will go with ME to amusement parks lol. 8)
