  1. For the life of me I can't find NESUB01 in the downloadable sticky thread! It's from a park called Corkscrew Adventures someone posted here.
  2. While browsing the "What's your favorite ___________" thread, I'd thought I'd throw in my two cents. Only have been on three: RR, Vortex (CGA), and Mantis. And that's how I'd rank them, best to worst. I hate Mantis with a passion.
  3. Works fine for me. I am on Firefox for Mac. Safari shows a blank screen on the other hand, which doesn't really make much of a difference for me since I use Firefox almost all of the time.
  4. ...Ninja was the fifth of Arrow's suspended coasters... Of course parks area always concerned about regulations, but there's no reason why SFMM would have more trouble building a drop tower than Knott's or DCA. It was the first suspended coaster in the west I believe.
  5. It's yet to be confirmed that RM Treatment will be awesome but I'm optimistic. If was the key word there.
  6. If Colossus gets the Texas Giant treatment, maybe they'll get some good airtime out of that old woodie.
  7. Waterman is a cool place, cheap, and pretty much unheard of. The lift system is ANCIENT!!
  8. What I think is hilarious is when people adjust the seats so they are sitting down on them. It annoys the hell out of me. It's a stand up coaster guys! What does that mean?!? But of course, it is the GP, so you know how it goes...
  9. Crappy to say the least in terms of lines. It just backs up so easily. Ride is the same, great as ever. [Edit]: DJeXeL beat me to it.
  10. They have that clock thing on the wall now, which starts at 1 minute and 30 seconds. They were just barely making that time frame when I was there on Sunday. Tatsu was dispatching maybe and 2 to 3 minute intervals and Riddler's Revenge was about the same.
  11. They were holding people at the bottom of the stairs when I went, and every time a train left the employee let one trains worth of people up the stairs. That kept it to a 1 train wait up in the station. Pretty smart, but if you don't know what they were doing then it was a pretty discouraging line that was wound into the little area before the stairs.
  12. You obviously didn't understand the other guys sarcasm. nobody REALLY cares about the sign. Not even the GP, we just want to ride a badass ride. Which we do. 24/7. edit*** woops i posted. Yep. Sure it's a great ride! When you are walking in, you get that 5 seconds of "WTF" or "really Six Flags?" when you see the sign, then move on. It would be great to see a better sign in the future though, and I think they will deliver...eventually... As I said, it actually looks a little bit better in person then in Robb's pictures, and it is an awesome ride through and through. [Edit]: To clarify, I do care about the appearance of the park, so I wouldn't go as far as saying nobody REALLY cares.
  13. I get airtime on Goliath and Terminator as well. Huge floater air on that Goliath hump!
  14. Another thing is that the Apocalypse "cardboard" sign doesn't look as bad in person, but it still is kind of pathetic.
  15. I've never been to Jackson Hole to ski, but I hiked there during the summer the season before the new aerial tram went in. It looks like a nice place to ski, but a lot of steeper terrain which limits a lot of people from being able to ski the entire mountain.
  16. Well, if you've been to CP, then I'd go to SFMM for sure (since it would be your first time there, right?)
  17. Visited the Mountain today, and I have to say, it seemed a lot better then the day Robb visited. Took almost no photos today, sorry I can't share any with you guys. Started the day out at 8:30 and headed up the 5. Made excellent time and arrived at the park at around 10:00. Got through security and the season pass office was open early, so headed over there, skipped the line since I bought it online, and was back out in about 20 minutes, right before the gates opened. When I got in, took the Revolution shortcut to Tatsu and rode with my friend and I the only two people on the train. Got a second ride in, then headed to Viper on our way back to the entrance to meet up with others. The "others" wanted to warm up, so headed to Revolution, then Ninja, Gold Rusher, Scrambler, Sandblasters, then we stepped up to Riddler's, Batman, lunch at the Waterfront (Longhorn's BBQ is closed and the original "Eduardo's Grill" signs were up, don't know if they were ever taken down). Apocolypse, Tatsu again, Revolution, X2, Goliath, Scream, Batman, then Riddler's. On my way to the entrance stopped by Swashbuckler, then left at 5:30. Saw no evidence of overflowing trash cans and dirty bathrooms, although I was certainly not trying to look for any. Park was clean, but seemed in some sort "incomplete" with closed rides (Deja Vu, Colossus, Thomas Town, closed water rides except Jet Stream, trees without their leaves, scenery in rides diluted which I will explain later). Clusters of leaves on the paths which was kind of annoying, but whatever. Overall a good visit and sort of crowded for a Sunday in the off season. I was surprised that they were running two trains on most rides, and ride ops weren't terrible but certainly weren't the best i've ever seen. If I forgot anything, just ask and/or tell me. I kind of picked on tiny things as well. -Gold Rusher - 1 train, walk on -Ninja - 1 train, walk on -Revolution - 2 trains, walk on, no stacking -Apocalypse - 1 train, 15 minutes (the line was wound into the switchbacks, so I asked the host what the wait time was and he reassured me that is was 15. Waited through and BEHOLD! NO PRESHOW! No flames (prob. wind), and no audio (obvious). -Viper - 2 trains, walk on, no stacking -Batman - 2 trains, walk on, about 1 minute of stacking per cycle. Barely audible theme song music and cool lights in station were off, except for the one on the bat suit. -Scream - 1 train, walk on -Goliath - 2 trains, 5 minutes, no stacking -Riddler's Revenge - 1 train, 20 minutes, fast[er] ops, barely audible theme music and no question mark lights. -Tatsu - 2 trains, 10 minutes, stacking about 2 minutes a cycle -X2 - 2 trains, 5 minutes, 30 to 60 second stacking, music not working on one train, flames were operating to my surprise because it was kind of windy. -Deja Vu - closed -Colossus - closed -Superman - Looks great! -Green Lantern - Site is clear, no progress since what has been posted -Little Flash - Also no progress from what has been posted -Percy's - Closed for Thomas Town re-theme. Looks like no progress has been made since what has been posted -Only open truly kiddie coaster was Canyon Blaster
  18. All three of those parks have lots of large "big boy" coasters. CP and SFGA have the higher rated coasters though. Millenium Force was rated top steel coaster in the world for 2010, TTD, Magnum, and Maverick and the Raptor are all highly rated as well. At SFGA, El Toro is arguably the best woodie in the world, rated #2 for 2010. Nitro and Kingda Ka are really highly rated too. SFMM does have some new and improved stuff coming this year though, but you will have to contend with the crowds for Superman and the new Zack-Spin. It's really up to you. SoCal has other parks around closer by so that's something to consider. Any one of those choices will get you some crazy coaster action. Whatever you end up choosing, have fun! EDIT: Would Q-Bot be available for Superman and the Zack-Spin during opening week? Probably for an additional charge like X2 is. Superman I would think would be with the standard Flash Pass, if not then it would come with the Gold one with no extra charge. I can almost guarantee that the Green Lantern (ZacSpin) will be an additional charge with a Gold Flash Pass (meaning you can't pay for it when you have a standard one, you need a gold one plus the charge).
  19. That sounds like Mr. Six is flashing the kids...expressly. lol. How about Mr. Six's Kids Little Express? Or just Mr. Six's Little Kids Express for the flow.
  20. Memorial Weekend will probably be the busiest time at a lot of parks, especially SFMM since they are opening new rides those days.
  21. June is also a favorite of mine, but the way the winds were blowing we were better off skiing Mammoth the days I was up there. June's snow was reported to be VERY firm, almost as firm as my rock hard abs.
  22. Really? They should be on at night, and the regular lights used to be on in the stairwell and the where the train loads, but in the blob of people in the line, there should be the mirror lighty things flashing question marks on the walls. That's pretty lame! You walk into the Riddler's lab/lair/house/humble abode/crash pad, and all you have is some signage and thumping techno music. I'll be disappointed if little things like this (that as you said, make a HUGE difference in park experience) aren't fixed before the crowds come back (ie spring break). At least the summer season! RR is my favorite ride there! (Hence my avatar)... Yea see I feel so left out when I hear about how certain rides USED to be! Its like, if you dont ride it when it FIRST opens then chances are you wont see it again in its full glory next year!! I dont even realize why parks buy coasters with themes!! I mean think of how much money would be saved if they just bought them bare?! Of course it woulnt be a theme park anymore but I mean even now it still doesnt seem that way with all the things that dont work!! Just look at Scream! That thing doesn't have any theme, and that's one big reason why people don't appreciate it. Theming is all a part of the business. And by the way, Riddler's lights working wasn't just a "when it opened" kind of thing. Those babies were working just fine last season.

  24. I need: MetRtwai/00B180A9D6F1D5A (For the Cedar Point park). I can't find where you can "download it below."
