Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW BGE) Discussion Thread

You spelled "Apollos Chariot" wrong. -
You're the one who needs to lighten up. SoCalCoasters was just trying to make a point which (which is true) and you just get all bent out of shape like a whiny little teenager because he said what he believes, and backed it up with a point. It's not that hard, just tell us where you think Speed would fit in the park. When you say "oh, it'll totally fit" then all the sudden saying "dude, I'm not engineer or anything" just makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about. Do I wish Speed came to SFMM? Yes. Is it going to happen? Almost certainly not. There's many other things SFMM might want to put in that are actually new and fresh. It's not like Magic Mountain's going to go the cheap way just becuase they suddenly put in a re-located coaster from New Orleans. They still have the money to at least put in a fresh ride that will actually fit.

^That's already happened. I've seen it happen multiple time of CGA's Facebook. It'll make no difference. So how many TPR memers want gather at the buffet and make our very own GP-less table? -
^Couldn't agree more with your rant.

I don't understand the idea of not visiting the park just because it doesn't have a FastLane-type system. Why don't you just wait in line like everyone else for a change. Or better yet, go on a less crowded day. The operations are good enough that you shouldn't even have to worry about it on slower days. -
^Or maybe they could somehow wander on to the track of TTD and get hit by a launching train?

^I second this thought. -
Yeah, I see what you mean, it may be a great ride and all, but they took out a ton of trees from such a heavily wooded area. But really, when hasn't Six Flags been lazy about ride placements? Revolution was put in before Six Flags even owned it. So I can't say there was a point where SF ever valued beauty of the park over coasters. Just my thought.

THIS post caused TWO WHOLE new pages of rumors about the park closing?! You can't be serious. For the sake of coaster enthusiasts... -
Time for a new place to live?

"Well, we are the ones who should rolling our eyes at you"? Learn how to type a sentence right. That doesn't even make any sense. Really, we are the ones who should be rolling our eyes at you. Anyways, thanks for the great construction photos! It looks like Verbolten will be a great ride that will be built around a very strong theme. I like how secretive Busch Gardens has been about the ride so far. -

Right when GL closed in September, they started dismantling Dominator to transfer it (like literally the next week) so I don't know you mean by "wasn't operating". (just thought I'd throw that out there) As far as Maverick's line, it usually is about the same all day (over an hour). On a good day, Magnum won't have much of a line (if any). Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force can very in their line lengths. I guess it just depends on that specific day. That "often" shouldn't have been there. But basically I was just saying that it wasn't operating for just half a year at the most. I was making a point as someone said it was a lot longer than that. -
Well, you won't be tired after the Rapture hits!
-
For your second question, I'm pretty sure that Formula Rossa is strictly designed that way because Ferrari World wanted it that way.
-
... I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that because, THATS THE GREATEST COMMERCIAL EVER! I'm going to have to agree with this.

But will they be just as bad as the majority of kids of this generation?

Word on the street is (and don't kill the messenger please) that Dominator is still VERY smooth in the front if the train, but the back has a rattle that's at least bad enough to cause some headaches for some. It sounds like it was even better at GL back when it operated there as Batman. Now, somebody did make a point (although they were slightly incorrect) that Dominator had sat around for a little bit after GL closed. While is wasn't operating often back in the 07/08 offseason, it wasn't even close to being off the tracks for years. Intimidator 305 is acceptable but Dominator could probably have gotten some better care once it arrived. A "bad" rattle in the back of the train on a B&M Floorless is certainly not "normal". -

That's not true. Any coaster can be as smooth as the park allows it to be. I don't think Kings Dominion exactly has the best maintenance around and if you take a look at Dominator's hideous rattle towards the back, it definitely shows that. Cedar Point is a little bit of a different story, hence the difference or rattle on MF. Keep in mind, we're comparing a ride that isn't even two years old (only a year old in some spots) to a coaster of identical speed and height (and longer length) that's soon to be twelve years old. If you think about it, the fact that MF has barely built up a rattle is just incredible. -

It's because you went on Sunday you idiot. You really expected crowds to be the same on both days? Why don't you go on Saturday at CGA for Haunt at night and tell me if that's crowded. Ok? And for the last time... Stop this pathetic rambling about CGA closing! Just because you went on a Sunday night where most people have to work the next day doesn't mean that it's closing! Just shut up and be happy that the park is open! HOW HARD IS IT?! Best laugh I've had in a while. Thank you. I wish you saw how crowded it was on Saturday. You might understand if you were Angry_Gumball or had actually visited the park. Now go search through more of my posts so that you can find more things to criticize. Ridiculing ABW's posts are great fun you know. You're most certainly welcome -

In all honesty, they are completely different rides. MF is more "majestic", with gradual airtime and graceful transitions that still show off the speed but don't overdue it. i305 is mean, with forceful airtime and transitions at 90mph, and is one of the most intense rides on the planet. Whatever type of ride you prefer, really. You really hit the nail on the head there braztaz. Over the years Millie has really her lost airtime, and visual appeal. Please explain to us how "she" could suddenly just lose her airtime and appeal. I really don't understand your logic here. -
