  1. Great photo TR. It was a fun trip overall. I agree on Wicked Twister mystery no line. Fast Lane really made our trip to CP so relaxing and more enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the other parks you visited.
  2. I wasn't sure where to post about this but I wanted a place to comment on the recent Six Flags decision to add seat belts to perfectly safe coasters. Some of these coasters getting seat belts have been open for years. So far here are the coasters that I know of that recently added seat belts. SFMM : Goliath (2000) Yolocoaster (2013) SFDK: Superman Ultimate Flight (2012) SFOT: Titan (2001) Here are my three reasons I really dislike this move from Six Flags. 1. Six Flags is kind of saying "Hey, the rides you been on numerous times. There all unsafe now" 2. Six Flags is known for terrible operations. Now you just added even more time between each train dispatch. 3. If your trying to make park guests forget about the Texas Giant accident, why add seat belts 4 months later. (example below) Guest 1: When did Titan get seat belts? Guest 2: Oh when it had that accident. Guest 1: I thought that was Texas Giant Guest 2: Oh yeah it was. To end my small rant on the seat belt issue. I understand that seat belts do not necessary change the experience of the ride but it does not help your ride experience. Trust me from a corporate stance, I understand what they are doing but how far do you take it. I mean Titan/Goliath have been safe for 10+ years. I just really wish Six Flags had not gone this direction.
  3. That is just dumb of six flags. Titan or Goliath did not need to add seat belts. They already killed the ride by stopping us completly on the mid brakes.
  4. I'm a fan of S&S Rides so when they announced this, I was really happy. Ive heard the contract was signed on the ride but I'm still wondering what kind of time frame we are looking at. I mean not just because of its height but also it's one of the first to be built. It's going to be interesting to follow the construction on this. I was thinking Miami would of been the location but now I kind of think it would be cool near a beach town like Fort Walton. I mean obvious choice is Orlando on I-4 but a 525 foot coaster sells itself.
  5. I wonder if Scorpion's days are numbered? Seems like the perfect spot to put in a big new ride. I didn't even think of that. Especially if they removed Stanley Falls. They would have a ton of room for a new ride.
  6. I really like this news a lot. Falcon's Fury had me wanting to go back to the park but now this. The new area will look great.
  7. I actually thought Miami would be a nice fit for the Polar coaster. I guess this will work instead.
  8. Is Texas the next Dubai? Just seems like there is always a new park proposal coming out of Texas recently. I hope the best for them but it does not seem they are as organized as Grand Texas or Adventure Pointe. I could see a small theme park working well for college station area though. Who knows, maybe 2015, we will have 3 new parks to go to near Houston.
  9. This is among the greatest ideas in history. I'd personally love to watch hours of Robb interviewing animatronic dinosaurs. dt Robb: Would you rather be an elephant or a cheetah? Animatronic Dino: ROAR! Exactly! Come on, it would at least be more entertaining than the B&M Interview! Then add a cut at the end of the video where Robb is talking to the guys at Intamin booth saying "You guys are f*ing Awesome!" then drop the mic and walk away.
  10. That was a very well edited video. I like hearing all the different answers cut like that. Thanks Robb and Elissa for making the video. When RMC said we are booked. I also liked when Premier was describing someone's proposal for balloons to hold a ride.
  11. I'm happy for S&S. I always enjoyed their rides so to hear about these Poler coasters being built is really great. I do have a small margin of fear though that the Poler coaster could pull a 4D coaster and end up costing S&S.
  12. So I was semi joking with gravity group on their Facebook about retracking Hades 360 and they replied with this.. My ribs would like to thank them if this is the case.
  13. I know the plan changed from it was originally because they were able to hire on a different engineer. The engineer has a Disney background. It was at this same time, he decided to change the name. I only know this because I did an interview with many months ago and we've been in contact since.
  14. I'm going to go a little further here and say "Classic" carousel; one with an organ playing and hand-carved horses.
  15. GCI just posted a YouTube video of the new coaster on their Facebook. It looks really great. I post the link but my phone is acting up.
  16. Ahh, I couldn't remember the name fisheye. I always like the effect that lens gives. Cool photos by the way.
  17. Did you use a special lens for these photos or is it just the camera you used? Just curious
  18. Great photos as always. I always enjoy reading your reports. I like seeing Tony's window that is well deserved. One of these years, I will hopefully make it to see the Haunted Mansion Holiday version. I just missed it this year. I've seen Frozen at a preview and I enjoyed it. I forget that Olaf was a big part of the World of Color Winter Dreams.
  19. If anyone is going to the park soon and you happen to go go ride Titan. I'm curious to know if Titan has added seat belts since Goliath (its Twin) at SFMM did recently. It could just be a California thing.
  20. That is weird that they just did that out of the blue. I wonder if its twin Titan got the seat belt treatment.
  21. Lightning Run looks like its going to be a fun coaster. So T2 and Twisted Twins are just not opening till they are upgraded right? I understand Twins is getting the RMC treatment I believe. Just I figure they have T2 open the first season back.
  22. Playland Park was to be built near Texas City until they decided to redesign the entire park and reintroduce it as Adventure Pointe. I really like the look of the plans they posted for the park. I can't wait to hear more about Adventure Pointe. With Grand Texas posting their new plans and photos this week and now this, Houston has some very exciting things happening. Here is the info from Adventure Pointe Facebook. A look at the plan for the park Park Logo Here is a video announcing the new park. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  23. ^^ that looks like its going to be another great Intamin. Why can't the mall near me get one of those?
  24. I'm really hoping this turns out to be great. Then perhaps we will see like 3-4 of them get built. Because if I remember correctly, there was a few variations.
  25. I do this one. 4 main reasons 1. Outlaw Run 2. St. Louis is one of the last real baseball towns so you probably really enjoy that. 3. City Museum is tons of fun and a must do. 4. Cinnamon Bread, a must get while at Silver Dollar City.
