  1. Thank you for paying attention to this thread. It's "BRAKE" not "BREAK" brake noun 1. a device for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, typically by applying pressure to the wheels. "he slammed on his brakes" break verb 1. separate or cause to separate into pieces as a result of a blow, shock, or strain. "the rope broke with a loud snap" Hey man... losen up! Couldn't help myself
  2. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but a 3D glow maze isn't what I expected when this got announced. Weird.
  3. There are hardly any details but I'm excited. Especially since the next Mass Effect is supposed to come out next year! I love that series.
  4. As a half Swiss, half Mexican person... I approve!
  5. Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors maze at Universal
  6. Definitely not scary. Think about any other industry and you won't be surprised. Local, family owned restaurants tend to have more unique menus than Applebees, TGI Fridays or Chili's with thousands of locations worldwide. Smaller indie bands tend to have more innovative music than top 40 pop stars. Video games, movies, etc., etc. are all similar. Cedar Point has orders of magnitude more visitors than ZDT, so innovation is less of a priority than going with well tested, proven coasters. Not a bad thing, just the reality of their business. I think Switchback and Valravn both look good. And fans of each park are lucky to have them!
  7. You can always go visit it in Dubai! That is SO depressing. I'm in the minority, but I loved Hammerhead and was very sad to see it go. I haven't ridden Riptide since it opened - I guess I'm just not a TopSpin fan.
  8. I feel silly now for not realizing you were joking, but you never know! In that case, you missed a big one: Bugs Bunny > Snoopy
  9. Please no. What do you gain from directly comparing TC and Mean Streak? Riddler and Wicked Twister?
  10. We don't know yet, but I'm sure we will know soon when they give us more details on the Ghost Town refurb.
  11. I've never been on a dive coaster, so I'm shocked to see so many people lamenting the lack of a splash-down. I didn't realize it was such an important (or impressive) element.
  12. What does this even mean? It's a nice looking coaster that will revitalize and open up a dead-end part of the park. Plus, dive machines are fun to watch and are a hit with both the general public and enthusiasts. Not every new ride is going be an Intamin Giga, RMC or whatever it is you feel like the park needs!
  13. I always forget that it's "bird of prey" Raptor, not velociraptor.
  14. There, I fixed that one for you! Tied with Knott's Berry Farm?
  15. Looks like a solid addition to me, but I've always liked the way B&M dive coasters look. I really like the placement in the park and the landscaping concepts shown in the POV. I also LOVE those record breaking stats, but I think they forgot a few: 11. Most orange track on a dive coaster! 12. Most V's in a dive coaster's name! 13. First coaster to achieve 13 world records!
  16. This is very interesting. I'm curious to see the scope. Several Ubiosoft franchises have the potential for great attractions. Assassin's Creed, Rayman, Tom Clancy and Trials, to name a few. And what would it take to extend their South Park licensing partnership? I would love to see a Cartmanland.
  17. New and different? There is nothing like this ride within 1800 miles of SFGAdv! Remember, globetrotting coaster enthusiasts are the extreme minority when it comes to theme park guests.
  18. The way Roy Walley intended. As long as Sparks provides the music to the ceremony!
  19. This is so exciting! Colossus and Revolution are both legendary coasters. I'm glad to see them being treated as such with these recent projects. Side note: Six Flags is killing it with California in 2016! I can't wait to ride Revolution and Joker!
  20. Yup. A good ride will explain everything you need to know. "OK, I am a tourist in a space airport, about to take a tram ride through the galaxy. Got it. Wow look, aliens!"
  21. Yes! I thought the first Transformers movie was awful, but I love that ride! Same goes for Radiator Springs Racers, to a lesser extent. Cars is my least favorite Pixar franchise but the ride is great.
