So far, 2018 seems like a great year for California!

Looks great! Seems like a good fit for Knott's and a great use of the space. A vast improvement over Boomerang and Riptide. And it's NOT ORANGE!!! 2018 looks to a be a great year all-around!

I will always defend Hammerhead as a great flat ride. Not sure if it's just nostalgia but I don't care. I loved it and really miss it.

This thing looks amazing. One of the most interesting projects I've seen in a while. It's a great concept and it's so cool to see a small park attempt something so ambitious. I heard a few interviews with the park's management on CoasterRadio and it seems like they are truly passionate about it. I really hope it's successful.

I loved some of the 90s Boardwalk rides. Whirlpool was easily my favorite scrambler of all time.

Yeah, the "but it's historically accurate" argument doesn't hold much weight in a ride where a mystical projection of an Octopus man speaks to you.

Sky Cabin isn't going anywhere! In fact, I heard they were using the new space to build 2 more clones of it. Now us Southern Californian's will have not one, but THREE iconic K's in the skyline!

Oh my god, i had these! It's been so long... thanks for sharing. I remember that era well and I still have a special nostalgic spot in my heart for Mystery Lodge. We took a school field trip to see it when it was brand new. I remember everyone being so sad that we couldn't ride any coasters haha.

Montezooma's Revenge! I haven't been on many Schwarzkopf coasters, but this one is nostalgic for me. It was my first time going upside-down on a coaster! It still holds up well too.

To be honest, I think most of Fiesta Village is an eyesore these days. I hope it gets the Boardwalk/Ghost Town treatment soon. I would love to see it cleaned up and repainted with less hideous colors.

Not sure about it's staying power, but I know the kids in my family would go nuts for a Five Nights at Freddy's dark ride!

I keep forgetting that Wipeout and Riptide are different rides, so I get massive deja vu whenever I see it mentioned as being removed. I never rode either...

Knott's Berry Farm 1. Xcelerator - One of the few coasters I will re-ride 2. Silver Bullet - Not the best, but underrated 3. Montezooma's Revenge - Classic 4. GhostRider - I haven't been since the reopening. It used to be my #1 5. Coast Rider - It's fine 6. Jaguar! - Hasn't aged well 7. Pony Express - Would be MUCH higher if the queue/ride time ratio was better 8. Sierra Sidewinder - I don't really like spinning coasters 9. Timberline Twister - My first coaster! 10. Boomerang - I never ever ride this

I loved Gran Slammer. That was always my first ride of the day. I miss that tradition. I think I agree with you.

I agree. Knott's has been smart with their yearly projects, focusing on the overall quality of the park instead of blowing their budget on a single attraction/coaster. Revitalizing Ghost Town, The Boardwalk, Camp Snoopy and increasing the food quality throughout the park has done wonders for them. I haven't even been to the Boysenberry Festival yet but I think I would fall in love with it. Looking forward, I'm hoping to see a full refurb of Fiesta Village - It's my least favorite part of the park. Sol Spin looks like a nice start!

I use Twitter all the time, but I don't use it to interact with people I know personally. Instead, I use it to keep up with the industries and hobbies I love. It's a direct feed of news and events happening in niche hobbies of mine, directly from the people involved in them.

"Lockers" was just explained. Type the word "gullible" in a post to see the others.

I'm all in favor of a Viper replacement. It was a legend in it's time, but it has seen better days. They could fit something really great in that spot.
