  1. That's interesting. In light of the accident, I could see alot of parks making the effort to make things more clear for those with amputated limbs, and for the operators. Even if they don't modify their rides to be more accommodating for them. Even just from a legal standpoint, it makes sense. People in North America sue for everything
  2. You obviously know more about the law than I do, but to me if the operators allowed the man to ride, knowing with 100% certainty that it would kill him, that sounds more like murder. In this case, they completely disregarded the parks rules in regards to riders having two working legs. Either they were lazy and careless, in which case that, at least to me, defines negligence, or they just felt pressured by the situation.

  5. I really think more parks should get into enclosing their entrance plaza. Not just for the rain, but when it's over 100 degrees out, the shade would be nice. That park may not be as good as Disney Sea, but it still looks amazing.
  6. So disregarding the park's and Intamin's policies is not negligence? Learn something new everyday.
  7. Here's a new one from the Tokyo Disney Update:
  8. I gotta go look at flights now! Amazing place!
  9. ^^ I was going to visit Darien Lake myself this coming Saturday, so I can definitely understand your being annoyed, but the fact that someone died opens up a huge can of worms. They can't just re-open the ride that soon after someone died on it, even though all signs point to it being human error/stupidity that caused this, they need to make sure that it is indeed the case and do everything possible to prevent this from happening again. It doesn't happen overnight.
  10. Great article. It sounds like it's more about the shopping for most people, but its nice to see the parks doing well. I'm glad I'll be there to witness that!
  11. I305 is reason enough to pick King's Dominion. That said, it is also the farthest away from Cleveland. I don't know how long your family will be vacationing for, but if you had the time, you could also visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg which would be about 1 1/2 hours away from KD. You would also be 1 1/2 hours from Washington DC if your family wanted to visit there.
  12. I vow to visit Tokyo Disney at least once in my life.
  13. ^Thanks. They definitely look like nice little parks.
  14. Your best? Losers always whine about their best.....
  15. Awesome stuff Big Mike! Your Canadian friends appreciate the shout out!
  16. I was planning a visit to Darien Lake next Saturday (July 16) but considering RoS might be closed for the next little while, I thought Seabreeze would be a good alternative. I'd also likely stop at Martin's Fantasy Island in the evening as well. I haven't visited either of those parks before so if anyone has some tips or secrets to share, that would be appreciated. Also, if anyone in the area would be interested in joining me, it would be a pleasure to meet you, and I'd enjoy the company. I promise I don't bite. PM me if your interested. Thanks!
  17. Back to the Future, hands down. The whole series is great but the first two are the best.
  18. Just tried it now, and it seems to be working.
  19. You could probably also make a side trip to Bay Beach in Green Bay to ride the Zippin Pippin. Maybe you could do that the same day as Little Amerika if you decided to do that.
  20. Wow Robb! Great job photoshopping all the ACEr's out of that picture!
  21. Obviously no way the ride-ops could not have known he was handicapped.
  22. 10/20. The ones I knew I got, but the one's I guessed I didn't.
  23. There was a rumor quite some years ago about a B&M Floorless at Canada's Wonderland. I believe it was to be called "Footloose".
  24. One other thing...someone mentioned this in the comments of one of the articles. If he had no legs, would he have even met the 54" height requirement?
