If you could change a coaster.
TheStig replied to Supermilk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would change Gwazi's trains to Millennium Flyers as those are the shizznit. Or I would change it to not being there at all and put up a Intamin Rokit coaster....Thats all. Colin C -
ACE Florida Regional Event...
TheStig replied to TheStig's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ During Con this year they had a guest speaker who turned out to be Bob Mampe of B&M and it was really cool to get to meet him and everything! But as for animal encounters, all the animals are tranqued beyond belief so they most excitement you might get is petting a sedated flamingo... Colin"I think all the animals there are dead to be honest"C -

Boomerang Or Giant Inverted Boomerang?
TheStig replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im a Giant Inverted Boomerang guy myself. I rode Face Off at PKI over the summer and it really sucked! I mean, vicious head banging in the loop and the second spike! I didn’t even know that it was possible! As for GIB, I’ve been on DJV at SFOG and SFGAm and I must say SFGAm can unload, load, and dispatch a train in no more than 2 minutes and they did that the whole week I was there! They have an amazing crew at SFGAm. Also, the OTSR's really do NOTHING except give you something to bash your head into, it’s the orange seatbelt that does all the work! However, at SFOG I had a bad DJV experience. First off, it took maybe 10 minutes to load and dispatch us. We completed the circuit, only once we got back to the first tower, we did not easily go back into the station. Instead we sat there for an hour (The catch car caught in a different spot it was supposed to). So they ended up releasing the train and the boomerang breaks slowed us down and we got back into the station. Now, as soon as we got into the station they tried to release out OTSR's and nothing happened. So for another hour we all sat there and we couldn’t get out! And all we got for it was an exit pass and a soft drink...oh boy... Colin C -
Yesterday I got an E-Mail from ACE concerning the Florida Regional Event taking place at BGT. It states that I can bring guests and I wanted to know if any of you non-ACEr's wanted to go (mostly so I wouldent have to be alone at this loser-fest). Its $57.00 for non season pass holders and $42.00 for sp holders. The flyer is http://www.floridaace.com/BGT%20Event.pdf <--- there and if you want to go just post it here. Also, if you are already planning on going post here aswell so we can get a TPR group together! Colin C

Oh the horror! What a tragedy! We must stop the production of these horrible rides! Funny how people overeact when a ride E-Stops. If an article were written everytime a coaster broke down with people on it, we would all be famous! Colin"Rode SheiKra last night with no problem"C

TheStig replied to ParkTrips's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Nice photos. I have one of those "SheiKra, Let me hear you scream!" T-Shirts, except mine's powder blue (and the week after I bought it they came out with it in grey which was a bummer!). Im heading up to BGT tonight for HOS, then next weekend for the TPR meet so Ill have to make some PTR's. Colin C -
Me and my two friends saw Serinity last night and I was really suprised how good it was! It's one of the best movies Ive seen all year. It had a really good plot and "River" was completly awsome! I'd definatily get it on DVD when it comes out, and you guys should go see it. Also, "Jarhead" looks like a really good movie. Jamie Foxx was really good in "Ray", and I like war movies... Colin C

So how many people out there are ACEer's?
TheStig replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sadly, Im an ACE'r... But let me tell you Coaster Con was one of the most fun coaster things I have ever done. The coaster crowd I hang out with does not talk ONLY about coasters, we talk about normal people things like movies, music, and Paris Hilton. Colin"Paris Hilton, Paris Hilton, Paris Hilton...You stupid wh*re"C -
Funny Top Thill Dragster picture
TheStig replied to jackskellington101's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay something cool about the trains... Last season the trains had holes where the front fins used to be, now for this season the holes are gone, but the black engine theming mount is still there. I really did like the origional themeing with the engine and wheel's, but with the two giant tires hanging out Im sure it caused a lot of drag and many rollbacks. Also, the red train was operating about a month ago when I went, but the gold train was off on the transfer track the whole time I was there. Also, I know there are two purple trains, but did the REALLY dark purple train used to be black? It looks like the nose piece is black, not purple... Colin"I love my TTD"C -
Okay everybody it's that time of year where theme parks around the world start putting on Halloween events and it just so happens that last night was the second night of Busch Gardens Tampa's Howl-O-Scream. Now, in past years its really sucked on another level...and nothing has changed this year! Naww it wasn't too bad, but nothing compared to HHN. So here is a short TR of our night at HOS...Enjoy. 5:30 pm... Harrison (from my previous BGT PTR), myself, and our loser friends J.P. arrive at Fowler Ave. and decide that instead of getting into the park before it closes and then com back when it re-opens, we head over to the International Mall and pick up some cheese steaks. My what good cheese steaks they were, mmmm.... Along the way back to the car we all pick up some Mountain Dews and decide to drink as many as humanly possible (which I think is 64 before you keel over and die) before the night was over. So we hop in the car and head back over to BGT. 7:15... We arrive at the entrance, buy our fancy HOS tickets, and stand in line to get into the park (which was MASSIVE). So we stand around for 15 minutes then they start to let people in and by 7:45 we were in the park. We ran over to SheiKra, which only had a half hour wait, and quened for it. 30 minutes later we boarded row 1 and got one of the best night rides ever on a coaster. Although most of the track is lit up, it runs faster (at least it felt like it did) and its pretty freekin sweet to dive into a pitch black tunnel. Good stuff, try to get a night ride if you can. We picked up our first BGT Dew of the night, we kinds got wired for w while, but it wore off after about 10 minutes... We got off the headed over to Kumba and were shocked when we got there...the sight of the station just amazed us, we never knew it was possible for this to happen...WALK ON AT HOS!!!! Man we got at least 10 rides without getting off the train, man I still don't understand how nobody was in line, kinda crazy. Oh yeah we got another Mountain Dew at a Dippin Dots stand. After Kumba, we headed over to Python for a night ride. At this time, 90% of the people were either too drunk to walk, or too drunk to see, or both for that matter. Some chick fell over and passes out while we were walking, the preceded to throw up all over some guy when she got back up, kinda funny. Okay back to Python. Once again it was a walk on for front row, but as we were walking up to the station we noticed the other train laying around the break run in a state that it looks like it will be re-furbished in the near future, pretty cool. Oh, we also got another Mountain Dew before we did our next HOS thingy... Next we went and saw the best show ever, FIENDS!!! If there is one show you see at BGT it's fiends. It's a bunch of cool character dancing and singing, and the nurses add a nice touch to the show. Fun stuff... We were running short on time, so we tried to run all the way back to Motnu before we had to leave, but the line was around 90 minutes so we just decided to leave, and pick up a Mountain Dew. All in all it was pretty fun. The "scare zones" are put up in places so that you HAVE to go through them, which sucks because the bottle neck effect takes place and people get smashed as though they were at a Who concert. I'll most likely go back next weekend or the weekend after and try to do some haunted houses, as the lines were over 2 hours last night. So if you get a chance, pick up a Mountain Dew and head over to HOS! Mountain Dew count:5 Colin"I can't sleep now!"C

Nice pictures! I was really bummed I didn't go this year! Oh and about Fat Albert, it uses these rockit like canisters call JATO bottles (Jet Assisted Take Off) and every now and then one will fall off, and thats what happened there. Now that I think of it, I remember hearing a story in the news about some guy who thought he had found a bomb in a lake, but it ended up being a jettisoned JATO bottle. Colin"The More You Know!"C -
wow pretty funny! My favorite likes were: "Yo whats up, Im Robb Alvey...I run a website, some people go to it some people don't" "Now I know who's ass to kick" "Is that for the extra large people out there?" "That will prove not to eat all that cheese on the sick between rides" "Did I just hear you call Stan a tub of lard?!?" and the best of all: "Are you supposed to be bringing boats in the park, that's not cool!" Nice job! Colin C

SOB was by far the roughest coaster Ive been on, ever! I had to leave the park after riding it because I was in so much pain. Something about a home built woodie with Premier trains just doesnt mix... Colin C
