  1. ^Humm...I really dont know why, but compairing picture of the lift to some picture of Sheikra's lift, Goliath's looks liek ita at a shallower angle, as the lift looks longer too. I dont know, Ill find out in a few weeks! Colin C
  2. Trains Have arrived on site! http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/groups/g_15823006/fd2b/__sr_/229f.jpg?grhshDEBc05TMknK Colin C
  3. Man I cannot wait till April 1st! Although Im going opening day, I really want to go on media day as well, is there any way besides sighning up for spring fling that I could get invited to media day? Im thinking about calling SFOG and pleading my case, and maybe they will let me get in on media day. Colin C
  4. Okay I stand corrected in two cases. First, its an audio file, and second, he said that he couldent release any information. But it's the first question and its a really cool interview so enjoy it! Colin C PCDV0089.zip Bob Mampe Interview.
  5. ^Actuially, at Coaster Con this past summer, there was a Q&A with Bob Mampe and he said that B&M really wants to do a launched coaster. Ive got it on video I think, Ill see if I can find it. But yeah maybe they are just sending the trains to BGW and melting down the track...I really don't know, so many things could happen to it. Colin C
  6. B&M Rocket coaster! To be honest, I really dont know what BGT will do fo the 50th, but I'm also not 100% convinced that Python is going anywhere. I mean, the just finished re-hab on train 2, and I dont think they would re-hab a train if they were going to just tear it down. But who knows, I could be wrong. Ill be sad to see it go, but thats how things are I guess. But whatever replaces it, will be something to see IMO. Colin C
  7. ^ If I heard correctly, it's illeagal to be on a cell phone whil driving in Australia. Not sure though... But yeah, Ive never been in a major car accident, although my dad did rear end somebody in traffic reaching for some chex mix. Luckly there was no damage to either car... Colin C
  8. ^ I think the only Intamin that any busch park owns is the Phenox at BGT. But I think another dive machine would be awsome for the US. They should have enough knoledge about what it can do now to add maybe a vertical loop or a zero-G-roll or something. It would also me cool if it hugged the ground a little more than SheiKra does, as those wide trains would look pretty cool 3 feet of the ground. But who knows, it could be a rocket for all we know! Colin C
  9. You could cram in maybe a intertwined log flume and splash boats ride. That would fit the theming nicely. Also, maybe some type of canoe ride could run in that little river. But what a nice park that is! Ive never really taken the time to build one like that, but it looks really nice! Keep up the good work! Colin C
  10. From the looks of it, I think Robb's scrotum is permanatly inside his body now! Funny video, makes me wish I could go on the UK trip! ColiN C
  11. ^Umm...Just to let you know, an austornaut in a space shuttle experiences a sustained G-Force of 3.1 G's. They do the testing because re-entry can pull about 7 G's in some cases. And to clear up the whole blacking out thing, you simply cannont black out from acceleration forces alone, although it will cause som major damage to your body and death if its an excessive amount. Blacking out is cause by blood rushing to your feet from positive G-s, musch the same as redding out is caused by blood rushing to your head. A man who's name skips my mind right now once rode a rocket sled which put an acceleration force of 64 G's on his body, resluting in massive bodily damage and causing him to go blind for about 2 months. So to sum it all up, acceleration forces cant make you black out but they CAN kill you if they are extremely high, and postitive and negative forces are the ones that cause you to black/red out. Hopefully that clears som stuff up...
  12. Alright Im dropping my videos in the mail tomorrow, along with a little present (not as a bribe though!). I hope you like them! Colin C
  13. I must say that it's a tie between Mr. Freeze and Speed the ride for me. I dont know why, but LIM's really dont give the punch that other launch systems, its more like a sudden jolt of acceleration, then it just becomes gradual, where as Hydraulic launched build up over the course of the launch, and from what Ive heard, air launches...well just kind of suck! Other than that, TTD has the biggest acceleration force of any coaster I've been on... Colin C
  14. Zerstoren-Rammstein Booyah German rock music! Colin"Noo it ended! Now its Hilf Mir!"C
  15. Yeah I guess Im in too...Should be fun. Colin C
  16. ^Good! You didnt forget that its not a hill! Clint, I want to thank you for putting up all these ITL podcasts, they are really funny and interesting and have been a great addition to my iPod's podcast list. But anyways, another awsome podcast, makes me want to get to SFMM even more next season. Colin"All I need is a place to stay...and money, cant forget money"C
  17. So who's ready for stupid question?!?! Okay, is it alright if I submit all my videos on a DV tape that already has some footage on it, and if I set the tape to the section where my videos start, would that be okay? I mean, it'll be at the end of the tape where nothing would be there to mess it up or anything, but I dont really want to buy a brand new tape and just send it to you guys (Now I know how you get all your mini DV tapes!). If not, Ill dig deep and buy a tape for the contest, just though I should ask... Colin C
  18. Yeah I'd so pay you for a hand drawn coaster picture! Thats seriously amazing, I could NEVER do anything like that! And I'm serious, I'd love to buy a piece of art from you! Don't ever quit drawing man, you've got a gift... Colin C
  19. Horray! I get to finially enter the video contest! I have one done right now, one in progress, and one in mind. So hopefully I can get them done! Colin C
  20. ^^ HOLY CRAP!!! MY FRIEND HAS THOSE SAME SHEETS!! Thats an aswome room! I wish I could run a SS around m room...I can dream can't I? Colin C
  21. It's funny, I have a shirt that says "Welcom to America, NOW SPEAK ENGLISH!". I got it as a B-Day present from my cousin in Key West, but hey its a joke shirt, Im not racists at all! Colin"Although most peole might think I am from my last name"C
  22. Straight uo Montu! I have to vote for them because its not only my favorite home coaster, but because the detail is just great on the whole train! Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt Montu the first invert tu have custom painted covers (not painted in three sections like Raptor or B:TR are, but full fledged custom)? But yeah, I voted for Montu... Colin C
  23. ^ Wow, thats a new way to spell Cypress!!! Yeah Im guessing that the kid was being a dumbass and decided it would be cool to stand up on the coaster (maybe thinking it was small enough that nothing would happen). But did anyone else catch that his last name is Llamas? Colin"haha llamas..."C
  24. Okay here are a few pic of it. You can get the general idea of how big it is and eveything so enjoy! Colin C EDIT: updated with smaller pics. Now here I am adding some metal tape to the turbine. You can get a better idea of how big it is in this picture. The black square is the front fan that is also made using a computer cooling fan. Not the vaccum cleaner used to start the turbine. Hopefu Heres the whole setup. You can see the fuel pump on the table and fuel lines leading to the turbine. Also, the fuel jug sitting on the yellow box (and me in the blue shirt!). Looking down the turbing while "Dry" starting it with the vaccum. You can see the rear compressor blades, or as they call em in the biz, cooling fans for a computer. The red thing is a piece of ribbon that's used to show how much thrust we were getting.
  25. Well I think that with the pre-fab Intamin wooden track that this is very possible. I mean its not like the launch is going to pull 2-3 G's, I mean SoB's loop give a little bit of hang time (if you can feel it over the groin pounding). The launch would, like the loop, would be there for function and not be some ridiculous amount of force. I think that if the Millennium Flyers were to be used on a launched wooden coaster, they would DEFINATELY need a larger backrest that supports the riders head, which kills some of the visibilty given by these trains. I think its perfectly possible, and I hope that I can ride one in my life time! Colin C
