That being said, I agree that you took a positive step with the London slide report--well done.
When I visited the park a few years ago, the place was rundown, but the staff seemed to care about it. They were even painting the fence around the flyers as we rode them. It's good to see them still making progress despite some setbacks since then.
To me, Kings Dominion has one world-class coaster (I305), two very good coasters (Volcano and Dominator), one "interesting" coaster (Flight of Fear), and two decent woodies (Rebel Yell and Grizzly). Not a bad line-up at all.
I knew very little about Kolmarden outside of Wildfire, and ended up liking the park a lot. The cable-car safari and animal habitats were very well done--and Wildfire was excellent (particularly that last inversion--whew)! Getting around the place is quite a hike.
^Not this trip, but I did ride it back in 2008. I'm not big on flat rides, but Talocan was the best Top Spin I've ever ridden. It's also the most fun to watch.
^Neither do I. I was hoping to see a slew of Intamin wooden coasters after the success of El Toro and Balder, but it never happened. It worked out for RMC, though.
