In the local paper this morning, they ran their usual "reviews" of the Super Bowl ads, and while they liked the Snickers ad, they thought hitting Roseanne with a log was a bit "mean." I dunno--Roseanne didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Well, I'm sure the halftime show was probably the best ever presented by a tire company.

^Agreed. During the 2007 TPR Japan Trip, Fuji Q was the only "bummer" park--but being there with other TPR members still made for a pretty amusing day. If I were to go back to Fuji Q, I'd probably check the "haunted hospital" walk through and skip the coasters.

Tell me about it. The last time I checked, KD was charging 17 bucks for two slices of average pizza and a Bud Light. Disney is reasonable by comparison, and the food is better. Now, getting back on topic, if the lapbars are comfortable and keep morons from getting out of the logs and walking around in the mountain, I'm all for them.

I do think it's good that the old Boomerang is getting a makeover. This is hardly my favorite type of coaster, but the new restraints should be an improvement (they seem to work well on Carolina Cobra at Carowinds). As for the onboard audio, well, we will see. A ride as short as a Boomerang doesn't really lend itself to this. As for the makeover of the area, it is colorful. However, I don't think it's going to "age" well; that is, it's going to look dated very quickly.

I guess they just couldn't handle losing to a team from, of all places, San Francisco.

You mean when the ride ops aren't on the PA inciting the guests to jump us for our exit passes? Nah, on second thought, they're still better than Fuji-Q! At least the SFA ops are trying to fire up the crowd.

This is the same park that installed a rapids ride with four-person rafts--of which they fill only two seats.
