  1. ^Yep--he's definitely been stuffed and mounted.
  2. There's a Rita's in Williamsburg; frankly, I'm not a fan, but there are those in town who love it.
  3. This would've been the most intriguing answer to me at either Q&A. I'd love to see Knott's get a new and, I hope, unique dark ride--love to see SFMM get one, too, but I doubt that will ever happen.
  4. ^Agreed. It's good to get the perspective from someone in the know, rather than the ignorance of others.
  5. ^Parks have a list of media they invite to events like this, which usually includes park-related Web sites and local news outlets.
  6. Congratulations! I'll be there representing TPR, but another trip report never hurts.
  7. ^Same here--always rather liked Roar, although Wild One is the best coaster in the park.
  8. Thank you for the bonus towel-ironing-and-folding ERT. This should be an activity at next year's West Coast Bash.
  9. My list of five is (in no particular order) . . . Verbolten Skyrush Leviathon Wild Eagle Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Yeah, I admit that I'm kind of intrigued by this one.)
  10. ^Agreed. He should've just posted 25 pictures of the Scarlet Witch.
  11. I founs Mr. Tucker's answer to be very politicially savvy.
  12. I'm curious to see what the different "styles" of cars look like (other than just different colors).
  13. I caught the Blue Man Group in NYC years ago, and the theatre was filled with talk tubes--each seat in the audience had one. That's how they asked if people wanted to particiapate in that version of the show.
  14. ^Don't forget the New Texas Giant and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster trains. Verbolten's look pretty sweet--and they're supposed to be all different styles. Looking forward to seeing the others.
  15. ^It was good to see a good, gothic ghost story instead of just another gross-out fest or "dead teenagers" movie.
  16. Equating a drunken moron at ToT with a "terrorist" is a bit of a stretch, although I understand what you're saying. I actually found the behavior of the people videotaping this incident every bit as disgusting as that of the drunk--they were more interested in getting footage to post to You Tube and making snarky comments than they were in easing the situation. I do agree that security should've gotten there a bit sooner than they did, but you have to factor in fighting your way through the mob of gawkers to get there.
  17. Definitely do the alpine coasters at Labadee and Jamaica (the latter is particularly good). As for the Labadee zipline, even though it's a bit pricey, I was glad I did it. However, I wouldn't pay the $85 to do it again.
  18. Insane was a an intense ride that I was surprised I liked--even with some crazy flipping. I am curious about Green Lantern.
  19. ^^Congratulations, Jason--I wish I'd been there to cheer you on while your rode Supreme Scream.
  20. ^He must've thought he was at Halloween Horror Night at Universal Orlando.
  21. Yep. I need to get back to Eruopa for Blue Fire and Wodan--and, hell, for everything else there, too. It's one of the most well rounded parks anywhere.
  22. Thanks for the look at the original Calico Ghost Town--a place I'd like to visit someday, myself. It's interesting to see how well the Knott family re-created this landmark in Buena Park.
  23. I didn't know that any boysenberries were still growing at Knott's--do they fertilize them with catawumpus manure? And beware the Curse of the Intamin Cable! It will have your souls for toying with it as you did!
  24. Wild Thing at Valleyfair.
  25. Holy crap, "Up with People" was there. The horror . . . the horror . . .
