  1. ^You're right. They should make the Lava Monster part of Avalanche.
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't go as far as eight--only two.
  3. I count the old Motorcycle Chase and Wacky Soapbox Racers separately, because the switch from cycles to soapbox cars changed the ride experience quite a bit.
  4. Maybe they were hoping to get Dole Whip so sponsor the ride, but it didn't work out.
  5. Aw, I, too, miss the Lava Monster. That's the best pic I've seen of him.
  6. I remember reading about Old Chicago when it first opened. I was pretty intrigued by the place when I was a kid.
  7. I can scarce contain my excitement . . . I guess it is a little better.
  8. My guess is that the joints the animators used to hang out at during the 1920s were a bit more austere--but this is a very nice place.
  9. KBF Season Pass Facebook Page Im taking bets: Who thinks it will be- A- A Mega Coaster B- A Summer Announcement C- Aqua Trax D- They found Hitler E- AP Event Place your bets! They found Hitler, who happens to have the plans to the Aquatrax?
  10. I think each park got the ride that was appropriate for them--something to make them stand out a bit from their competitors. We'll know soon enough how successful BGW will be with Verbolten.
  11. sigh As you often say, Hanno, "I am from the Land of Dutch."
  12. Losing this will, indeed, be a great blow to our culture.
  13. ^I don't think BGT has anything to be ashamed of with Cheetah Hunt--it's a great ride that fits in perfectly with the park. I just hope Verbolten does the same.
  14. ^Hmm--I wonder if you can buy that at the pretzel bakery? They offer some other German brews there.
  15. ^Everybody needs a hobby. Some are coaster enthusiasts, while others are court enthusiasts.
  16. Find the bumpiest country road you can--preferably with a washboard surface. Then drive over it in, say, an old Willy's Jeep at about 30 miles per hour. You will have experienced Son of Beast. That being said, I understand where you're coming from.
  17. It's nice to get a "sneak peek" at the scenery in the show building with the work lights on. Looking forward to seeing how it looks with the show lighting and effects.
  18. I think Pirates, even if it is getting a bit long in the tooth, will be a much better draw than the Narnia flicks, which (as far as I know) never generated a lot of excitement.
  19. ^I would just hate seeing it, period.
  20. At the hard-hat tour, Larry Giles compared the drop to having "a chair pulled out from under you." We shall see.
  21. ^There's a little of both in Verbolten's queue. The park has installed a new entrance for the ride, which features a short, winding walkway. But remember that they're reusing an existing building, which they've also extensively re-themed; even so, they have to work around the existing space. It looks a lot different from the old Big Bad Wolf queue--and better.
  22. Hell, there are still people who gripe about Disney's Fast Pass--and everybody who buys a ticket has access to that. Qbots > Pieces of paper.
  23. I think that's a fairly safe assumption. TAKE THE QUONSET HUT!
