  1. I just added the Kings Dominion itinerary to the first page of this thread--one hour each on I305, Dominator, Hurler, Grizzly, Rebel Yell, and Anaconda.
  2. I love the old ads--takes me back to the ads they use to run in the travel magazines when I was a teenager.
  3. ^So, the answer to his question remains "no."
  4. Or if she said, "Er, I just want to be friends."
  5. That was the perfect "Steve" picture.
  6. I wonder how many bugs that kid swallowed?
  7. Alpengeist prefers to be called "sweetheart."
  8. ^This actually makes me glad that I'm not at Hershey today. SkyRush looks like a great ride, but I think I can wait until all the hoo-ha dies down.
  9. ^Bummer--if I'd been in the store and that poster was available, I would've bought it for myself.
  10. I hear that it broke down earlier today for a bit, but it was running just fine a few hours ago. So, no big "issues."
  11. If this ride was at Universal Orlando, they'd be selling Transformer Energon Screwdrivers during Halloween Horror Nights. Even though I'm not a Transformers fan, I definitely want to check this ride out--and have some Energon.
  12. ^Same--it wasn't until I saw an overhead shot that I had an idea how big this "little" ride actually was.
  13. Losing a "prototype SLC" would be like waking up minus a migraine headache that's been plaguing you for weeks--quite the relief.
  14. I really like the layout of this ride, and it should look even better when SeaWorld finishes all the landscaping and theming elements. Looks like the Busch parks are winning the "sexy-looking trains" sweepstakes this year, too.
  15. I finally saw The Avengers last week, and enjoyed it. Mark Ruffalo stole the show as Bruce Banner/The Hulk (even though old Green Skin didn't have as much screen time as the other characters). He has the single best line in the whole flick. Ruffalo brought some dry humor to Banner, which was lacking in other Marvel movies.
  16. Sounds like the place needs a lot more work than they originally counted on, so they're concentrating on the water park. I hope the Kochs are able to make a go of the place.
  17. Movie World could use a good shooting dark ride. (Then again, I think just about every park could use a good dark ride or two.) May as well get the most they can out of the DC heroes.
  18. I have yet to ride one of these "Deja Vu" clones, but I think Larry has actually ridden them all. I give SFNE high marks for putting out a good food spread for this event.
  19. Yep--a nice variation on a ride like Pilgrim's Plunge.
  20. ^So, an old Pretzel ride, which seats two people per car, is more "dangerous" than a coaster?
  21. Here's my two cents. Intamin: Shockwave (stand-up coaster at Drayton Manor, UK). Jupiter, an Intamin woodie in Japan, is quite bad, as well. GCI: Gwazi (BGT--I actually liked it a bit better with the old PTC trains) B&M: Iron Wolf (now relocated to SFA and renamed Apocalypse) Two stand-ups--yeah, I'm not a big fan of that type of coaster.
  22. The Haunted House is looking good. And I want some of that fried cheese. I wonder if that autographed poster from the old 1960s Batman flick is still there?
  23. ^S&S should really push rides like Powder keg (it's their greatest creation). Tranan is fun--and actually a bit freaky as a "family" coaster.
