  1. ^It's so sad that Musical Circus is no more. What a bizarre attraction that was. I also find the ride system of Forbidden Journey interesting, but I prefer the rooms with physical effects to all the video stuff.
  2. ^I would have no problem with ET going home permanently, but that's just my opinion.
  3. Intimidator 305--Kings Dominion Oh, yeah . . .
  4. I think using split screen depends on the nature of the ride. Robb used it pretty effectively in putting together the Tempesto video.
  5. ^They reconfigured Volcano's station and queue substantially last year, but I agree that Stunt Coaster could use some attention.
  6. Window of the World just became a wee bit weirder, which is no mean feat for a Chinese theme park.
  7. I've been intrigued by this park, although I hear the operations are, well, not too good. That "studio tour" always looked particularly insane, not to mention the submarine simulator.

  10. ^Yes, so much goodness to come very soon. Regarding Tempesto's operations, I rode it twice this morning with some friends who had yet to experience the coaster, and the waits were less than 30 minutes (using the internal switchbacks). The crew was dispatching trains very quickly.
  11. I think the airtime on that first hill after the launch is going to be crazy! The rest of the layout looks great, too.
  12. It's nice to see the rest of the train in relation to the ride, as you see mostly track in front-seat POVs.
  13. ^Drool some more. This steak-in-peppercorn-sauce concoction was great last year, too.
  14. Yep--International Street itself looks pretty good. But the entrance plaza could use some freshening up.
  15. I understand your thoughts here. The Hatbox Ghost does look pretty cool, and projection was probably the best way to achieve the effect. (I also think the similar upgrade to the Bride in the attic was equally cool.) That being said, I think the Hatbox Ghost "pales" a bit when compared with how Disney used the same technology on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Florida.
  16. ^And with the honey butter, you can skip the syrup (if you want).
  17. Here's another Williamsburg joint I've been meaning to add. From the folks who brought you the Five Forks Cafe . . . Honey Butter's Kitchen This place offers "southern comfort" food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I prefer their breakfast offerings, myself, and I'm rather partial to their corn cakes (with honey butter), eggs, and bacon plate. There is some overlap with the menu at Five Forks, but Honey Butter's offers some original items, too, not to mention weekly specials. Honey Butter's Kitchen 4680 Monticello Ave. Williamsburg, VA 23188 It's in Monticello Marketplace.

  19. Mantis's layout was good, but those stand-up trains were were uncomfortable. Making it more like Dominator works for me.
  20. I think it's a very interesting, "under-the-radar" project.
