  1. ^I didn't notice that, but now that you mention it, I like it. They blend in with the setting nicely.
  2. Nice job of theming the ride.
  3. Quicksilver Express--Gilroy Gardens
  4. This is correct--definitely a backseat ride, while Tempesto is best in the front seat.
  5. Here is my speculation regarding any new attractions for Kings Dominion.
  6. I agree--except for the part about Alpengeist being better than I305 (but that's a matter of taste).
  7. ^Personally, I like Raven a lot, always felt that Legend was a good (not great) ride, but don't care much for Voyage. I have yet to ride Thunderbird, but I think that the two best rides at the park are Wildebeest and Mammoth in Splashin' Safari.
  8. Aw, I miss Expedition GeForce--must go there again, someday. Thanks for the Frankfort photos, too.
  9. ^I could see that happening on Saturday nights during Howl-o-Scream, too.
  10. Lightwater Valley--UK
  11. Tripsdrill
  12. ^Good question. While the park will stop charging for parking in the early evening, I've never seen them forgo charging for parking that early in the day. Then again, I avoid really busy days when possible.
  13. Thanks for the coverage of the Fast & Furious grand opening, Dallas--particularly of the hot chicks, which are essential at any Universal media event.
  14. Jack Rabbit--Kenywood
  15. I watched Tim Burton's "Big Eyes" over the weekend. It's a good movie overall, but Christoph Waltz's performance was a bit too swarmy and over-the top. You might say he was "Christoph Waltzing" all over the place (and I'm a fan of his, too). He made the movie seem a bit "cartoony" at times. He's not bad, just a bit too much. That being said, Amy Adams was more subdued and effective, and the movie is worth seeing.
  16. This is why they have to be very careful with grain elevators--dust particles are very combustible.
  17. ^The chip monster, of course. Excuse me--that would be "crisp" monster.
  18. Beech Bend also has an amusing Haunted House ride.
  19. ^When I rode it, the roughness began after the first drop.
  20. This should be the park's mascot.
  21. ^Agreed. It wasn't a great ride, but it deserved a better fate.
  22. I'll be happy to hold on to the bags of other people as they ride this.
  23. I went over to the park this morning with a friend for the last day of Food & Wine. They're using the overflow parking lots on Rt. 60, and the the place is getting pretty busy (most likely because the weather stunk on Friday and Saturday).
