  1. then y did u come to the park??? Probably because the support color of a roller coaster doesn't deter most sane human beings from enjoying a day at a park. Not to be a backseat moderator, but I'd recommend you improve your spelling and grammar sooner rather than later. First point: Never begin a post with "not to be a [fill in the blank]" and then proceed to be a [fill in the blank]. Second point: Yes, TPR requires the use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, so no "text speak," please. Thank you.
  2. overall experience meaning what People look for different things from theme-park visits. Let's not turn this thread into a "BGW vs. KD" fan argument, please.
  3. NASCAR is actually huge in the U.S. believe it or not Yep--I don't follow it, either, but it has grown into a huge sport in the U.S.; that being said, I've heard that NASCAR's popularity is starting to fall off (perhaps people are tired of watching other people turn left for hours on end).
  4. Aw-w-w-w . . . I hope they have a new home.
  5. They did improve Root of All Evil a bit over the years. I would love to see two new mazes to replace 13 and Root, too.
  6. It does have a bit of a "Star Trek" look to it.
  7. ^I take it you're referring to the "Unearthed" reference on the HOS homepage: http://seaworldparks.com/en/buschgardens-williamsburg/howloscream/event-info/story/. I'm hoping that this is pointing to a new maze to replace the "Root of All Evil" maze from the last two years.
  8. The comfort collar incident doesn't seem to be hurting Tempesto's popularity.
  9. Not really. I tried the corn dog but didn't like it. An interesting salad came with the ribs that was okay to pick through and the bread from the flat bread sandwich was pretty good. It's definitely not a picky eater place to eat! I'll keep the ground beef. You can have the bread.
  10. Looks like a nice venue for the Jedi Training Academy show.
  11. Ordered my tickets today--now to work out the logistics.
  12. I didn't see Dracula Untold until after I went through the maze; even after that, the maze didn't make a lot of sense. Universal built nice, elaborate sets for it, but it still seemed more like a better version of the generic Dark Ages "Medieval Macabre" maze at Kings Dominion's Haunt. Here's the hoping that del Toro is actively involved in designing "Crimson Peak." He's an expert in building atmosphere in horror and fantasy films.
  13. Now this could be an interesting maze. Universal Studios Hollywood Brings the Terror of Crimson Peak, from Visionary Director Guillermo del Toro, to Life in an All-Original “Halloween Horror Nights” Maze Inspired by Legendary and Universal Pictures’ Highly-Anticipated Gothic Romance “Halloween Horror Nights,” Southern California’s Most Extreme Horror Experience, Begins Friday, September 18 Universal City, California, July 11, 2015 – Legendary and Universal Pictures’ much-anticipated Crimson Peak, directed, co-written and produced by celebrated filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, will come to life in a terrifying new “Halloween Horror Nights” maze beginning Friday, September 18, 2015, at Universal Studios Hollywood, it was announced today. Crimson Peak opens in theaters on October 16. “Guillermo del Toro Presents Crimson Peak: Maze of Madness” will be unearthed as a three-dimensional living representation of the film, designed to send guests spiraling through the chilling world and in the footsteps of Crimson Peak’s lead character, Edith Cushing, first as they venture from her home in America, then to the decaying and haunted Allerdale Hall mansion in a remote English countryside. With a foreboding “Beware of Crimson Peak” message that echos from Edith’s past, guests will navigate a labyrinth of paranormal tortured souls who have born witness to the estate’s dark history of unspeakable acts …and who continue to reside in vengeful, ghostly forms. “I am a devoted fan of Universal Studios’ ‘Halloween Horror Nights,’ and I am honored to partner with them to create a real-life version of my Gothic Romance, Crimson Peak,” said Guillermo del Toro. “It’s a thrill to work with the movie studio that gave birth to the modern horror movie genre. I can’t wait for movie-goers to enter the haunting world of Crimson Peak as they navigate this haunting maze. I can assure you, I will be first in line to experience the scares of it myself.” “Guillermo del Toro is a leading visionary in film, and Crimson Peak provides endless opportunities to immerse guests into the terrifying world that he created,” said John Murdy, Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood and Executive Producer of “Halloween Horror Nights.” “From the haunting score by Fernando Velázquez to the incredibly detailed set design and scream-inducing ghosts, we will recreate an authentic experience that will have guests feeling as trapped in our ‘Crimson Peak’ maze as the film’s lead character.” About Crimson Peak: When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak. From the imagination of director Guillermo del Toro comes a gothic romance starring Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam. http://www.crimsonpeakmovie.com About Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights: "Halloween Horror Nights" 2015 at Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off on Friday, September 18, 2015 and continues on select nights through November 1. 14. You could make a helluva lotta crab cakes with a crustacean that size.
  15. U: Uncle Buck
  16. ^Thus the rule about keeping your hands inside the train at all times. I've never put my hands up on Space Mountain for the same reason.
  17. Awww, how cute! Please tell her we're looking forward to her next visit! Can't say as I blame her. Splashin' Safari is worth it just for Wildebeest and Mammoth.
  18. And let's not forget his quintessential role in Top Secret.
