  1. ^Although I didn't get sick on Transformers, I remember feeling quite ill the first time I rode Forbidden Journey (no problem with Grongott's, though). Simulators can really screw with your system.
  2. ^I was rather impressed by Carowinds' "Taste of the Carolinas" festival last spring, and KD offered some good stuff during their "Spring Bloom Fest," too. It's good to see more parks upgrading their cuisine.
  3. That's my problem with what Universal's been doing, as well. While I think Spider-man is the best ride there, I much prefer Mummy, MIB, Rip Ride & Rockit, and the late, lamented Jaws to the other "media-based" rides. I'd rather ride Disney's Seven Dwarfs Mine Train than Forbidden Journey or Gringott's. But I do give Universal some credit for building great queues to go with the latter two attractions.
  4. Yes, I remember following the Lost Luggage Saga, as well--sorry about that, Cheryl. Was the WalMart loaded with American-made products? I rather enjoyed walking through some of the Chinese city parks during the last TPR trip. Many of them were quite lovely; the coasters in them, well not so much.
  5. Revolution--Six Flags Magic Mountain
  6. F--Farup Sommerland
  7. Although the "Earthquake" portion of Disaster was fun, the rest of the attraction definitely, er, was not--unless your idea of a good time is watching Christopher Walken sleepwalk through a role.
  8. It is. And I've always found that one fascinating as well! That is pretty cool--very clever way to use limited space.
  9. Ghostrider White IPA challenge on Ghostrider
  10. Zhogshan Park--Shanghai
  11. Expedition Everest--Disney's Animal Kingdom
  12. I've been to two WCBs, and both were great. While I'm really looking forward to Full Throttle and Twisted Colossus, the Knott's day will be very enjoyable thanks to all the extras arranged by Robb and the park. Besides, to me, Knott's is more about the Mine Train and the Log Ride (the latter is still my favorite flume)--not to mention the fried chicken and the boysenberry pie.
  13. X:\No Way Out--Thorpe Park
  14. It's so weird to see a Batman clone at a small park like Central Park--good ride, though. I understand that the Castle Guardians shooting attraction is gone, which is too bad (lots of fun). At least they still have the horror museum.
  15. Ultimate, The--Lightwater Valley
