  1. Hmm . . . the ride does sound intriguing--a "shooting dark ride" that doesn't use guns, but responds to hand movements.
  2. I think a very good maze could be made from these movies--and it could be a nice change of pace from the older properties, such as Halloween.
  3. The trains look great, and this ride looks like a winner. After all, this is RMC we're talking about.
  4. Oh no! Jack is truly back! Universal does a great job with their costumes and atmosphere for this event.
  5. Tatsu--SF Magic Mountain
  6. I'm intrigued by the Insidious maze's "corridor effect" in which you find yourself entering another dimension--sounds cool if they can pull it off.
  7. You must have a very loose definition for "great". Seeing as how more than one or more has been built every year since its debut proves otherwise. Hmm--using this logic, Vekoma Boomerangs and SLCs must be the greatest rides ever created. I'm not a big fan of the Wing coasters, although I did enjoy Wild Eagle at Dollywood (much more that X-Flight or Gatekeeper), and I'm looking forward to riding Thunderbird someday.
  8. Quicksilver Express--Gilroy Gardens
  9. Manta at SeaWorld San Diego--and it was great.
  10. The Haunted Mansion Nightmare overlay is great. I haven't seen the "original" Mansion in years, because my last few visits to DL have been between September and December. As for Aladdin leaving, the show wasn't bad, but it had pretty long run.
  11. I'd like to add my thanks to Robb, Elissa, Magic Mountain, and Knott's for a great West Coast Bash. I'll start posting a TR next week, which will include Disney and SeaWorld San Diego, too--but I have a lot of photos to sort through!
  12. I normally agree with you but I have to step in here... Millennium Force is a highly themed journey back in time to an island filled with dinosaurs. The name makes perfect sense too as they never specified which Millennium they were referring to. Everyone misses the theme because they incorrectly assume they were talking about this Millennium. This made me My vision of this ride had been infinitely expanded.
  13. I think the Dive Machine is the best ride that B&M currently makes, so I'm always pleased when a new one is announced. I haven't ridden a bad one yet.
  14. I'm not crazy about VR, mainly because my one experience with it made feel sick as hell. I might give it one more shot at Europa, though.
  15. There has to be a selfie-stick impalement in the Purge maze.
  16. If I were in the UK, I'd definitely check out this "park." I particularly like the loan office for kids--talk about a taste of reality.
  17. Apollo's Chariot--Busch Gardens Williamsburg
  18. Devil's Backbone Schwartz Bier--a black German lager.
  19. Maybe they went over-budget for 2015, or possibly planning another major attraction in 2017. Considering that they opened Twisted Colossus this year, I'm not surprised at all; that being said, I think it's great that Revolution is getting new much-needed new trains without OTSRs.

    Disneyland Hotels

You might want to try the Howard Johnson's. It's a good hotel located just across the street from the parks.
  21. My understanding is that having a train in each loop at the same time put too much strain on the structure.
  22. I give the edge to Nitro over Apollo's Chariot, but it's pretty close.
  23. Wow--they did put a lot of detail into that Sun Tribe park. Looking forward to seeing the video of the flume ride.
  24. ^That is the most amazing snack ever, especially if you're a zombie snowman.
  25. I remember going to see Disney on Ice when I was kid--back when Herbie the Love Bug was still a big part of the show. Or was that show even on ice?
