  1. ^^Busch Gardens Williamsburg was only open until 10:00 pm for the first night of Howl-o-Scream, which made no sense to me, either. I guess it's a budgeting and staffing issue.
  2. ^Go for the yardbird. You will not be disappointed.
  3. Oh lord, that show was hilarious. The short subject about "Measuring Man" was worth the price of admission by itself. The movie, since it took place largely in Orlando and not Miami, should've been titled "Dragon Sound vs. the WORST NINJAS EVER."
  4. 2. Most locals would hate to see the original theme replaced by a nick IP. Remember the reaction to the hinted Barnyard re-theme? That attraction holds a special place in the hearts of most Minnesotans, and hopefully will remain untouched for the forseeable future. Agreed, don't touch the Log Chute! Really, I love the Paul Bunyan theming, and I would hate to have anything done to it. Agreed. The Log Chute doesn't need to be re-themed, being as it ties into local folklore.
  5. Well that's lame. LOL Carowinds have a haunt in the middle of their Hurler turnaround and it's still open during Haunt season smh I consider closing Hurler to be a valuable public service.
  6. I'd love to check out Oktoberfest someday, but drinking one of those beer steins would probably put me under the table.
  7. "Come on, kiddies! Take some candy from the nice man!" "Don't let the fact that his face is lit from below, as though he were burning in the Fires of Hell, disturb you."
  8. ^Missed opportunities are the saddest, er, opportunities, or something, ever. I hope that, someday, you will have a chance to touch a Knott's drive tire again.
  9. I watched Kevin Smith's Tusk last weekend. This would-be horror-comedy started aa a scenario spun out during a podcast, and it should've died there, too. A good performance by Michael Parks, as a serial killer with a literal boner for walruses, is completely wasted, as the movie's one-joke premise, which I won't spoil for those who may wish to see it, drags on for more than 1 hour, 45 minutes.
  10. I went over during the wind and drizzle last night. All the outdoor mazes were closed, but the indoor mazes were open, and all the TERROR-tories were going, despite the small crowd. One of the staff there told me that even on Saturday night, when conditions were worse, Catacombs and Unearthed still had one-hour lines. The only wait for me was for the latter (about 15 minutes), while other mazes had short lines, at best. Verbolten was also a walk on, unless you wanted the front row.
  11. And, once again, you have my thanks for doing all that driving. But I agree that a short walk to Knott's beats a one-hour drive (depending on traffic) to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
  12. Backlot Stunt Coaster--Kings Dominion (Anaconda's next-door neighbor)
  13. ^I rode Xcelerator twice for you, Bob.
  14. ^Passholder early entry usually gets you Volcano and I305 before regular ticketed guests.
  15. Devil's Backbone Pumpkin Hunter
  16. They're open for Haunt today, according to their Facebook page.
  17. I would say they're both a "steaming pile of crap," but Iron Wolf/Apocalypse is the bigger pile of the two.
  18. What I don't like about the flyers is the pretzel loop--the forces make it feel like an elephant is standing on my chest.
  19. The park has posted on its Facebook page that it's closing at 6:00 due to the weather. So, no Haunt tonight.
  20. ^You might be lucky tonight. The forecast is calling for showers, but not a deluge. At least the best maze, Unearthed, is indoors.
  21. ^Club Blood is located in the Hurler turnaround, so, yep, no hurlin' during Haunt. I hope that Lockout is better than the "space alien" maze that used to be in the FOF queue.
