Hidden treasures/left overs
SFGAm Shock Wave replied to Zingoman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ That is from one of Great American Scream Machine's loops. A few years after they opened, the Arrow megaloopers (atleast ShockWave at SFGAm and GASM at SFGAdv) had the tops of the loops replaced with new reinforced track due to stress and frequent welding. -
Three requests: 1. If anyone knows of a HUSS Troika ride out there, that would be extremely useful. 2. Superman: Ultimate Flight queue signs. The ones with the villains and facts. I had them in my park a few years ago but lost them and never found them since. 3. Lighting strings for coasters. These I'm 99% sure were made by Fisherman. Of course now that I actually have a ride I want to use them on, I can't find them anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
SFGAm Shock Wave replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm glad Chang got moved to SFGAdv. If it came to SFGAm, it would be the biggest disappointment of 2011. Last thing I want is a second slow-loading B&M stand-up that corporate would use as an excuse to not give us another big ride for another 8 years. -
Something is definitely up with the loose article policy, atleast at SFGAm. Until the recent site update, SFGAm's loose article section featured language similar to what is still used on other park's sites clearly listing the 9 roller coasters that you could NOT bring anything past the entrance. SF has done some random stuff, but I can't imagine them changing that wording unless the lockers are going to be optional.

Holiday Park Discussion Thread
SFGAm Shock Wave replied to devol4's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ My guess is something in the "problem area" is lodged in the track. They probably used additional devices to secure the train before evacuating, since there are no brakes anywhere during the ride that are capable of holding a train in place. -
Awww...I liked the 1950's diner style blue seating! Oh well. I don't think the coaster police will get after them for this. Now, Stacy and Clinton from What Not to Wear....that would be a different story. The "if we can find it" and the end of that quote leads me to believe that they are trying to find new upholstery that will be very similar if not identical to the existing material. Moving on to the seat belt comments, they are there. Deal with it. I could have told you November 24th that they were going to add seatbelts. Eagle and Viper both have seatbelts, and their lapbars are far more restrictive than Dipper's.
