  1. Looks good so far. Can't wait to see more!
  2. ^Thanks! October 3,1971 5th Season Hello again, Its that time of year again where Boulder Leisure Park has to close our doors. I have a few end-of-season pictures: "The Breeze" will be relocated to the new area for next year. Single rider! The park is winding down for the year once again... A hint of what's to come. Have a great winter, and see you all next year! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  3. Thanks everyone! I had quite a bit of trouble getting Soaked installed last night. I eventually had to reinstall everything, and fortunately nothing appears lost. I will be posting a download very soon! Coupon: Thanks! Ace: I hope so, looks great so far! AJ: I honestly hadn't even noticed... thanks for the tipoff! ericm95: Thanks, I have plans to redesign parts of the park in the future that will introduce more architecture.
  4. I ordered Soaked! two days ago, should be here today. Psyched! September 1,1971 5th Season Hello Boulder, Attendance was slightly up in August, but still not to a level we had aimed for. Regardless, the park is doing well. Check out these pictures! This guest loves RPM! Shoot the Chutes still draws steady crowds. At least Boulder Tower still has a line! Crowds are slow but steady. A sneak peek for next year! Have a great day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  5. ^Thank you. I will continue for at least a few more seasons, and a download will come soon. I've just found myself becoming more disenchanted with RCT3 and Boulder Leisure Park. I'm sure that this will pass, so for now I'll give it another chance. Thanks for your kind words! I suppose my new plan will be to show pictures of guests in the park during the season, but I will highlight new additions at the beginning of each new season. I'm sorry if it seems like my updates are redundant, construction updates shouldn't dominate the season. Thanks, Ace, for your suggestions.
  6. Hey TPR. Posting as myself today. I've decided that this is the end for Boulder Leisure Park. I'm finding myself increasingly pressed for time with schoolwork and other activities. Based on your suggestions and my own observations, I have some improving to do. I will take a break for now to try to put more effort into another park in the future. From Boulder Leisure Park, I have learned that Rome wasn't built in a day. I will take more time on my future works and this will hopefully result in a better product. Thank you for your support. gci2011
  7. Ok thanks. I never thought of that. I'll just maybe update only if I've built something new. I've just been trying to show some pictures of daily park operation, because sometimes I only focus on construction. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
  8. August 1, 1971 5th Season Hello again, We're experiencing a slight slump in attendance this year. We're fairly confident it will pass. For now, enjoy these photos! The new Paratrooper is still very popular. El Furioso never fails to delight guests! Looks like we're going to have to take these out for next year! We've been busy digging out this small pond. The park's attendance is down this month. No worries though - we still have a bright sunny future ahead! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  9. Superman looks stunning! Your park is very impressive. Where did you get the great queue covers for Superman though?
  10. July 1,1971 5th Season Hello again Boulder, I've got another large update today to showcase plenty of offseason improvements and additions, as well as some really nice pictures of the park. It seems to look better and better each time! I also have been informed that Boulder Leisure Park will also be losing an attraction for the first time within the next 3 years. We'll have to wait and watch what happens. Mad Mouse has gotten new signage. Phoenix also received a new sign. Another new sign! Hmmm... a new trend, it seems. We've also re-landscaped much of the entryway. That's quite a line for Grand Wheel! I learned today that it is officially the most-ridden ride in the park! Shoot the Chutes looks empty, but what a nice view it gives! What a lovely little park we have here! Signing off once again, -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  11. One more thing. I don't have either expansion pack, but if I buy them and install them, will I lose my games on the original version. I don't want to lose what I have. Any help is much appreciated - sorry for so many questions! gci2011
  12. ^Thank you! That means a lot,
  13. I read through every page yesterday and it took me about 4 hours. Your park is very inspirational. It's well laid out and has a great collection of rides. I was wondering what expansion packs you have, if any? Great job on the park.
  14. New Parks: Six Flags Magic Mountain (1) Universal Studios Hollywood (1) Kings Dominion (1) Kings Island (3) Knoebels (1) Dorney Park (1) Six Flags Over Georgia (1) Memphis Kiddie Park (1) Other Parks: Cedar Point (7) Hersheypark (1) Overall a good year. Went from 52 credits to 103, I think...
  15. May 29, 1971 5th Season Welcome back to Boulder Leisure Park! We've just opened for our 5th season with our largest expansion to date! Opening day attendance is slightly down from last year, but we're sure it'll pick up once word gets around about the new coaster, RPM! Other new rides include "Paratrooper", a paratrooper, "Phoenix", a condor ride, "Fright Night Estate", our first dark ride, and "Hurler", a spinning mad house. I'll get on with it though: Welcome back to the park! Look at those crowds... Guests are glad to be back for another year! El Furioso's first train of the season is about to leave the station. Mad Mouse was also drawing a line today, often a rare sight! Modern Motorcars also received new signage, as well as path coverings. Looking up the hill toward Fright Night as the first guests enter the new area. First ride on the Paratrooper! Hmmmm... what's this? It's RPM, our awesome new coaster! The sun sets behind the Rockies after another great day here in Boulder. Check back soon to hear guest reactions to the new rides! Until next time, -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  16. Hopefully this is the last update before Season 5 starts. Changed the path colors, finally, lol. Also finished theming for the dark ride and came up with a logo for the coaster after the name change to RPM. I've also been messing around in Picasa. Let me know what you think about the effects. Happy, Ace?! Lol, kidding, they do look much better this way. New path colors on this ride too. The finished dark ride. Now I just have to add the building to enclose it. Thanks! -gci2011
  17. Thanks for the responses! Ace of Spades: Thanks for the compliment! Name suggestions are great, I think I'll probably go with RPM over the current "Red Racers" (lame). Thanks for the suggestions! QueerRudie: Thanks! I try to keep it realistic to the timeline when I can. The coaster does have a racing theme, but not as much theming as Italian Job... err, Backlot Stunt Coaster has. The building that you see is actually the park's offices, but a parking garage is a really good idea. I'll try to whip one up if I have time, maybe as a station? Thanks!
  18. Just a quick update. I've been working on the dark ride, new gift shops, and adding details here and there. By the way, I know I'm by no means the best park on the forums, but I could still really use feedback so I can get better. It's disheartening to see so few views and responses. Added the logo to the Red Racer "theme scene"... The view entering the area. Theming is underway for the dark ride. Changed the paratrooper colors so they're softer.
  19. ^ Thanks, all fixed now. Today I extended the train and built a station. Also added more trees, colored the new Paratrooper, and added a cafe. I will probably start Season 5 tomorrow or the day after. I'm disappointed with myself for having this large gap between seasons, but all of the structures were too much to rush. Lots of pictures, plus the new coaster layout! Fixed the steakhouse. The new train station. No, it's not on fire , just the smoke from the train... Are the colors ok, or do they clash too much? The inside of the new restaurant. This is a small café with a buffet. The café from above, with outdoor seating. Here's an overview of the area. I still need to add a station to the coaster, add 2 gift shops to the area, and add scenery to the dark ride, plus a building to enclose it. "Red Racer" is testing. It's got a racecar theme as well. Also put in this paratrooper, appropriately named "Paratrooper". Let me know what you think of the colors... Thanks for your continued patience and interest. -gci2011
  20. Quick update on the progress. Sorry I'm dragging this out, it's just a lot of work building these structures and I'm still relatively new to custom buildings and CS and everything... Built the new Boulder Leisure Park office building, and a restaurant. Please let me know what you think. Any tips that may help my improve my work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Office building from above. No roof yet so you can see the layout. Looking into Robert Clarke's office in the new building. The office farthest right is the receptionist. Farthest left is the CEO's assistant, and his office is in the center, facing the coaster. Added the roof once I was done taking pictures. Also built this restaurant with a patio. Serves steaks and burgers. Front of the restaurant. Not sure how I like it...... thoughts/suggestions? Let me know please.
  21. September 30,1971 4th Season Hello again, Its the end of the year once again here at Boulder Leisure Park. As the season wraps up, I wanted to give you an update on our construction. Everything should be open on schedule for next year. We've also decided to name the new coaster "Rocket Racers". We're still open to other suggestions for the name if you have any, but for now we're going with this. Since the last update, we've installed two new rides, "Mad House" and "Paratrooper". We've put up a building around Mad House as it is intended to be indoors: An overview of the area. Expect several new restaurants, gift shops, and other attractions. The building for Mad House. The entrance is there on the left. It's a big building! Also, a new restaurant with a patio will open to the left of it next year. More to come soon. Until then, have a great winter! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park -------------------------------------- Let me know what you think of the building. I'm quite proud of it, but want to hear other opinions as well so I can improve. Thanks!
  22. ^ Thanks for the suggestion. I may not use it, just because we have a Redline Park here on the forums. Thanks for the input, though!
  23. Hey TPR, Posting as gci2011 today with just a few pictures. Constructing a building around the dark ride. More theming to come, don't worry. But too many windows? Please advise, still seeking suggestions on better use of CS. The gray area will be a new gift shop. Also in the area behind it will be a restaurant and a building with a custom flat. I've had no trouble installing the CFRs, but where do I find them in-game to place them in my park? Also adding a billboard for a bit of theming to the new coaster. Still no name suggestions?! Well, got the billboards figured out now anyway. Any suggestions for the above? ^ By the way, I may not have an update for a few days, this week has been really busy for me with school and a bazillion tests everyday. Teachers cramming stuff in now because we practically have all of November off. Lots of updates to come next month, but it may take a few more days for another update right now. Sorry for the delay, I really appreciate your patience. Thanks, gci2011
  24. I'd just say airtime. Even though not very big or unique, the Phoenix at Knoebels is my favorite woodie just because the airtime is amazing. Of course, an Intamin woodie isn't too bad of an idea either....
  25. September 1, 1971 4th Season Hello America, Have you seen our big announcement? ^ We're really excited, but we want your input on the name for our new coaster! Things to know: - It's red - Lots of helices - Good airtime moments - Family-oriented, but still thrilling Please send in your suggestions! Anyway, a few extra pictures as work progresses onsite: The new pathways have been laid and are just beyond the treeline! This spinning tower ride will open next year. The park's skyline currently. A sneak peak of the new coaster! Thanks for your continued support! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
