TPR - As I continue to work on this park, I realize many errors that I have made in my planning and design. Unless I correct these now, they will only continue to make things more difficult for the park. Boulder Leisure Park will return in one week following reconstruction and reorganizing of the park. I will try to keep as much of the current park as I can. Thanks, gci2011 -

July 1, 1968 2nd Season Hey Boulder, This is officially the first time I've started an update with something other than "Hello". I just wanted to let you know that despite our troubles with Mine Train, we are still planning Fourth of July celebrations for later this week. A quick recap on what's been going on: We have discovered other underlying issues with Mine Train. Several other portions of track have developed fractures that we only noticed upon recent in-depth inspection. Repair costs are being determined before we make any definitive decisions on the issue. In this picture, some of the fractures are visible: 2 fractures can be seen in the center of the banked track, and just at the point where the track starts banking right upon cresting the hill. We have seen a slight decline in attendance recently, most likely due to the news of Mine Train's structural failure. We are confident that this will soon smooth itself out: Our attendance has declined slightly since the news of Mine Train's structural failure has circulated. As soon as we reach a decision with Mine Train, I will let you know. I'll also try to post some Fourth of July Fireworks pictures later this week. Come out and join us for the celebration! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @davisal, you've read my mind. Despite our current troubles, we're looking forward to a new major attraction in the near future. Stay tuned! -

June 27, 1968 2nd Season Hello everyone, Another update on Mine Train's progress today. Due to the damage to the track, much of that half of the ride may have to be removed and replaced. We are deciding our course of action with this issue. Currently we are looking to potentially rebuild that portion of the ride as soon as possible. We will let you know what we decide to do. Only one picture of the site today: The fallen track has been removed from the site. In other news, Modern Motorcars is a hit! It has been drawing steady lines since it opened: People can't wait to get on the new ride! Guests seem to be very happy after the ride. Thanks for your loyalty! We'll keep you posted. -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park -

June 15,1968 2nd Season Hello again, Most of you have probably already heard of the tragic incident that occurred here a few days ago - a section of Mine Train collapsed. Currently, the ride is still closed. Workers have been on site the last few days cleaning up some of the mess. Most of the track is still there, however broken supports have been removed. Track has not been too badly damaged, but will likely need to be replaced. I have a few pictures: The track that remains is still on-site. We have been working to clean up the site. As of now, we are unsure of the rides future. We hope to see it reopening at some point in the future. We will let you know of any future updates. Thank you for your understanding. -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park -

That was just my way of showing an artist depiction of the ride, and then still allowing myself to give updates during the off-season. I may not do this in the future though, because it takes time away from seasonal updates and slows the flow of peeps into the park. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated! -

April 15, 1968 Off-Season 1967/68 Hello again, Modern Motorcars is moving right along. The delivery of the vehicles to the park have been slightly delayed, so we've continued with adding some landscaping and installing the queue: The queue is about halfway complete. The site overall is looking much better! Only 2 1/2 more months until we open. I'll be sure to let you all know as soon as testing begins. After this, we just have to finish the queue and other new walkways, and add finishing touches! Have a great day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park -

Hey TPR, I just downloaded some different scenery sets, but how do get them to load into the game? I looked through Styles/Themed but everything in there is grouped a certain way and then in .ovl format? What's the easiest way to get these to show up correctly in the game? Thanks. -

Yes, I agree. Somehow, that only occurred to me after I started posting on here. So I looked it up and found this: and (Wikipedia ) Google Images also has some good pictures showing Boulder at the base of all of these mountains. But yes, I have been planning a storyline for the park that will fix some of the problems that I can't really help right now. For now, I probably won't do much with the elevation, but most likely will do some with it in the future. -

January 26, 1968 Off-Season 1967/68 Hello America! Let me start by saying Happy New Year! We're especially excited for this year at Boulder Leisure Park because it means our 2nd season is fast approaching. Our new main draw this year at the park is Modern Motorcars, which you can see below. Construction has been progressing very quickly. We expect to have all structures completed by mid-March, and the vehicles should be onsite by April. We'll finish up a bit of landscaping work before we start testing in May. Everything looks like it will be ready in time for Opening Day, June 1! Construction is moving right along. The "hotel" building is now complete. Construction has started on the station building. With the success that Boulder Leisure Park turned out to be this year, we've already begun to plan out our future. Let me just say, you won't be disappointed! Hey TPR! For Labor Day weekend, we had planned to head up to Canada's Wonderland. Forecast of rain kept us here in Ohio, but we ended up heading over to Sandusky. Our first stop was Kalahari. First we went to the Outdoor Adventure Park, with the new ropes course and zip line and animals and everything. Not wanting to risk taking my new phone out on the ropes course or zip line, I only managed to take pictures of the animals. Anyway, here goes: Were these gazelle or something? This one was my favorite This is one awesome antelope thing! They had lemurs too! I LIKE TO MOVE-IT MOVE-IT !!!! They also had some awesome porcupines. That giraffe was big! They also had zebras and an ostrich! No idea what these were... They also had a bunch of super-cool kangaroos! Haha this one was awesome! I think it was a llama.... *flashback to Coaster Expedition 10......* You could also walk through the bird area! They were purty More awesome kangaroos. This guy wanted out! He kept jumping as I walked by! Awww bunnies! And turtles, in the same pen :/ Oh yeah! They had camels too. The saddest thing for a horse to do - walk in circles all day and be pointed at . You should have seen this pony's sad eyes... And we'll end with one giant snake! Pictures from the rest of the trip to come later! Thanks.

Yes, the park now is a bit crowded. When I designed the scenario, I left a lot of land available for purchase during the game. As I continue to work on it, things will become more spread out. For now though, I don't really have enough guests to need to widen the paths or spread current attractions out. Things will be more spread out as time goes on though. Thanks for the feedback! -

August 31, 1967 1st Season Hello all! It's hard to believe that our season is already nearing its end. I don't really have much to say except we're doing well, and onto the pictures! The construction site has seen a lot of activity lately: Some different buildings have been added. More track pieces have been laid. Guests are starting to wonder what's peeking over the fence! We have scheduled an official press conference for Saturday, September 16. Our official closing date is two weeks later, Saturday September 30. Until the announcement, any ideas as to what it may be? We'll have to wait and see! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park -
